Police in Lusaka are holding Esnart Ngoma, 21, a woman purported to be one of Mr Sampa’s girlfriends.Lusaka Province Commissioner of Police Nelson Phiri said in an interview yesterday that Ms Esnart Ngoma is being held for her own protection.
He said following Esnarts appearance on Zambian Watchdog as one of Mr Sampa’s girlfriends, some people had started trailing her.
“The police are here to protect people and property and when she sought police protection, we gave it to her. We will do this as long as she is in danger,” Mr Phiri said.
He said like Ms Ngoma, any person can seek police protection and they will get it.
Ms Ngoma is a former journalism student at Lusaka’s Zambia Institute of Mass Communication Trust (ZAMCOM) and is now studying Mass Communications at Cavendish University.
Meanwhile a woman whose son is purported to be the child of Deputy Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Miles Sampa, has angrily dismissed the online media reports as unfounded.
Ms Lucy Kombe of Ibex Meanwood in Lusaka says she is the mother of the baby whose picture appeared in the Zambian watchdog online publication which claimed that the child is Mr Sampa’s.Ms Kombe, who sounded quite annoyed on the phone said the child’s father is Mr Gilbert Kombe.
“It is very important for these people (ZWD) to verify issues before publication. How can my son belong to Mr Sampa, when he has a father – Gilbert Kombe,” she said.
Ms Kombe said Ms Esnart Ngoma recently visited her and took a picture of herself (Ngoma) with her (Kombe’s) son.To her surprise, barely two days after getting the picture of the boy, she read a story that Mr Sampa is the father of her (Ms Kombe’s) son.Ms Kombe has vowed to get to the root of this matter by working with Mr Sampa and his wife.Police spokesperson Charity Munganga Chanda said investigations have been launched and police will soon issue a comprehensive report.
Am also being followed under the pretext that am the one who revealed Sampa’s secrets to the ZWD. Please keep me in the same cell where you’ve LOCKED UP Ms Ngoma!!!

In this picture, is Ms Ngoma being picked up from a tavern or already brought into police for “safety”? We’re spending so much money on infrastructure, please can our police stations and all government offices in general be improved & made cleaner than they are? Most police station OFFICES look like the actual CELLS. Most municipal council offices have no water & have dirty toilets yet they are responsible for our PUBLIC HEALTH. Toilets at the Ministry of WATER AFFAIRS have NO WATER! How can you claim to running a government?

One thing is missing; Esnart has not disclaimed the affair or affiliation with Miles Sampa. For Esnart to state that she is willing to work with Mr. Sampa and his wife, it is clear evidence that she wants to clarify “timelines” and nothing else.

There is only one blogger who has opened my brain a bit. No. 17 called TRIGO he has a very valid point. I agree with him that that girl may have been used by ZWD to help in finishing Sampa, hence the police to pick her up. If you see her looks, she is very navious and agitated. The report this other woman has said that she is the one who visited her and took that photo which appeared on ZWD a few days later speaks volumes. There is no way the police can take someone into custardy for protection. Instead the police always takes somebody for protection in a secreet location and not in custardy. The police know very well that this girl is connected to ZWD and she will open up to tell them what she did and how much she was paid and who paid her.
