TALKS over the installation of Paramount Chief Chitimukulu designate Henry Kanyanta Sosala between Government and the Bemba Traditional Council (BTC) have been revived with a meeting between the two parties tentatively set to take place in the next two weeks.

Sources from within the BTC said Chief Chikwanda had delivered a message from Government requesting the group of Bemba councilors called Bashilubemba to travel to Lusaka at a date to be communicated.

The source said the BTC was optimistic the talks would be fruitful and that the police officers deployed round the paramount chief’s official palace would be withdrawn.

The source also said the BTC was pleased with that Government had taken a proactive approach and was as eager to see the unresolved issues between the two parties ironed out.

Five of 72 councillors who make the BTC have been chosen to travel for the meeting in Lusaka.

  1. Wina Azalira! Boma ni Boma. Bashilubemba should approach this issue with an open mind and so should PF. Otherwise it will be another showdown.

    • Now they have chance to meet the real president Chikwanda. Thank you President Chikwanda to decide to quickly handle that important case the serpent has been hanging on.
Thank God Sata will not be part of that meeting, invite wise men like Miyanda to give input.

    • TAKE THEM TO MANDA HILL ON THE ESCALATOR BEFORE THE MEETING, ACCOMMODATE THEM AT RADSON BLU HOTEL, FOR LUNCH TAKE THEM TO SPUR AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER LUNCH THEY CAN GO IN FRESH VIEW FOR A 3D MOVIE, AFTER THAT YOU WILL HAVE A VERY FRUITFUL MEETING.

JUST A THOUGHT IF THE MEETING TURNS OUT SUCCESSFUL WHERE DOES ALL THIS LEAVE GBM?

    • @ Notradamus

Was this meeting called by Acting President Chikwanda with Bashilubemba, has it the blessing of this our President Sata if not then it a waste of goverment resources.

  2. Are these the bashilubemba you people talk about? That’s why Sata denied them. They don’t merit to be chiefs. They even look so Hungry as if they do eat.Choose Chiefs like the former Zamtel Engineer The Loyal Highness of solwezi.

    • Neither the clothes you wear nor the food you eat, maketh you a man. Just remember that my friend as you gluttonously gouge yourself on heart attack-inducing junk food while wearing your $1,0000 clothes and leaving in your palatial homes.

    • Your comment is embarrassing because you write at 3rd grade level. What is Loyal Highness?
We won’t even talk about the content.

  3. Quite true they look hungry but they have got ammunition in their heads to defend what is right for the Bemba people and they will triumph in those lines. No intimidation whatsoever shall be tolerated from the government because the throne of Paramount Chief chitimukulu falls under the Abena N’gwena/Abena N’gandu to which Henry Sosala belongs.

    • @Malole boy, Sosala can belong to the bena Ng’andu clan but the succession line for the Chitimukulu is more complex than you know it. There are two roots to follow on alteranate basis. The Mpepo, Munkonge, Mwamba line and the Chewe, Chikwanda and Nkula line, so it depends on where the prevoius Chitimukulu came from, in which case the other line is given an opportunity. Try to know history please. Am not a Bemba but i try to research about such issues.

  4. Are these the bashilubemba people talk about? Now I respect Sata for the decision he made.he was right, All these mare people don’t merit to be chosen as chiefs. That’s why they even think tribal in what ever occasions & situation occurred. They are Troublesome Tribalistic Tribe. …..Shame with your tribe Sata is not a bemba but bisa.We shall chase them like mad dogs.

    Thanky .

    • I hope you are really Ngoni in which case I don’t mind your chimbuya. If you are an imposter then you are f.oolish. Say you were Lozi, would you accept if the president rejected your rightfully chosen Litunga? What would be tribal about that? And by the way, dont believe what everything ZWD tells you. Sata is not Bisa but Bemba from Chief Chikwanda. Do your own research rather than believe everything ZWD tells you. You should be ashamed of your own tribe – maybe that is why you have not mentioned it.

  5. These are the real people. They matter a lot. Its only your little brain that can belittle people, big or small, poor or rich, small or tall. Thats what matters. FTJ was a small man, you know the story. These people you see in this picture are real and very, very, very, very important. Just respect others as you would want yourself respected.

  6. Talking is the way to go. Yes, they do not look like us in cities. Life in the village is different but that does not make them less intelligent. They are even more so. They are God’s great people and they are our traditional leaders and are full of wisdom. We await with great positive anticipation for a great outcome from the talks.

  7. They will dance to the tune of Red brick…
They will be Served with nice food and good hospitality will make them forget their mission…
Upon being filled with nice food, they will be taken round to see the beautiful city of Lusaka,
When the trip is over, they will be given brown envelopes, put on an Airtel Helicopter ride to see traffic around Lusaka.
Then they will put them on a Luxury Coach back to Their Village…
Finally, they will be Shown on ZNBC that Government has resolved the impasse….

  8. There are some low lives who like saying that Lozis have big feet as if it is an embarrasment. To which some clever chap retorted that ‘it may seem so to you but the real reason is that they are on average of a taller stature……..not surprising in a nation with nearly 50% of the population classified as stunted’! A 5 feet person cannot have the same shoe size as a 6 feet person. On average Americans have bigger feet than Europeans!

    • hahahahaha…………….indeed lozis have huge feet as correctly observed. reason is simple, they have evolved such feet over time to cope with the sand they have to wade through. their terrain is just sand that is why you only find landrovers in their province. you cant find a mark ii because it cant run in sand

    • @Matipa, really? So I take it that people in Botswana, Namibia, Southern Angola, Matebeleland, Zimbabwe; Northwest , limpompo and Northern Cape provinces of South Africa all have big feet because of adapting to sand in these areas? It has nothing to do with this. Feet size is a function of height. Mitchie is right. Most Zambians are stunted. This is largely due to a lack of protein in their diets and slightly due to genetics. Just compare the per capita consumption of Zambians and other countries in such things like milk, fish and meat. It is pathetic. Most Zambians cannot even digest milk!

  9. I don’t understand why minister of chiefs is silent on this issue. Can someone explain this and why Sata object to Sosala installation?? Has the president got personal negative issues against Mr Sosala?

    • Chi Prof Luo and Sata have a secret agent to try and install nkandu’ brother to be chitimukulu. The prof threw all morals and integrity to the wind, she is a real disappointment despite her education.

    • @ Mambala don’t believe everything you read from ZWD. If you listened to what Bashilubemba said about the issue, they never mentioned what you are claiming. However it is a know fact that Sata wanted to install Chief Chewe as Chitimukulu. By the way chief Chewe is not Bisa but Bemba from Chinsali but from the unrecognised Ngoshe Mukote lineage.

  10. I don’t care about these Chiefs, but just feel pity for those barefooted kids in the photo. They have no future! These Chiefs will soon be departing to meet their maker, but the kids are facing a very uncertain future, malnutrition, tropical diseases, no clean water or sanitation, its a hard life growing up in ‘modern Zambia’.
Kids were better dressed and fed in Northern Rhodesia than Zambia.

    • Oh Ja…..lets dress and feed the entire Africa and Asia then?! @ Kimba, in as much as we all would love that, lets remember to be realistic….Life is Hash, remember the 85 richest people in the world thanks to the millions and millions of the poor people? Yes thats just to remind you that, how ever hard we would try to feed and dress some children, there will always be a few greedy beings out there to defuse that concept, otherwise I get you!

  11. Sata is Bemba. Chitulika village where the president comes from is in Bemba land of Chief Chikwanda, BOMA , Mpika. Those passing silly comments about my chiefs in the picture are *****s.

  12. THIS ISSUE OF MR SOSALA WILL MAKE THE PF AN POPULAR IN THE BEMBA LAND HENCE HANDLE IT WITH CARE OR ELSE YOU MR SATA YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET IT. AS AT NOW SOSALA IS QUALIFIED TO BECOME CHITIMUKULU SINCE HE IS COMING FROM MWAMBA’S PALACE.BA SATA YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED ON THIS ISSUE BY SO MANY PEOPLE BUT YOU DONT WANT TO LISTEN SINCE YOU ARE A CHUMBU MUNSHOLOLWA NGAMWAOLOLA NINSHI KUKONTOKA. BA FINANCE MINISTER, CAN YOU ADVISED BA SATA ON THIS ISSUE DONT SAY YES BWANA, YES BWANA . BE LIKE THE GREAT GBM DONT FOLLOW BLINDLY BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL ROUGH AT YOU WHEN SATA IS NO MORE REMEMBER HE IS PLAYING WITH BA SHILUBEMBA WHO ARE REAL WITCHES. BE CAREFUL MR CHIKANDA (CHIKWANDA)YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY YOU CAN CONTINUE EATING EVEN IF YOU ARE FIRED. IN FACT YOU ARE DOING NOTHING AS FINANCE MINSTER.

  13. IAM A BEMBA BUT I LOVE THE LOZIS BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY INTELLIGENT. SO PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE WHAT HAVE THEY DONE ?EVEN IF THEY LIKE USING THEIR LANGUAGE WHEN THEY KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SPEAK.BUT I LIKE THEM SANA.ALSO I LIKE THE NAME NAMAKAU.

    • Why don’t you learn their language? Who doesn’t like to speak his or her language anyway? Don’t you like to speak your language ?

  14. Imwe ambuya osaibala na ngoma na tusote twa mbeni when coming to Lusaka. I need to take you for a swag at when you are in Lusaka. Bon Voyage

  15. Bashi Lubemba are exceedingly wise men, if it hadn’t been gross stu.pidity on the part of govt this simple issue wouldn’t have dragged on for so long.
