SOUTHERN Province Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga has been transferred to Northern Province in the same capacity.
Ms Katanga has been swapped with Northern Province Commissioner of Police Mary Chikwanda.
Zambia Police Service spokesperson Charity Chanda confirmed the development in an interview in Kazungula yesterday.
“I wish to confirm that Commissioner Katanga and Commissioner Chikwanda have been swapped in the same capacity,” Ms Chanda said.
Ms Katanga was transferred to Southern Province in 2012 and she replaced then Provincial Commissioner of Police Brenda Muntemba.
Ms Katanga declined to be interviewed yesterday and refereed all queries to the Zambia Police Service Spokesperson.
