Zambians are now getting irritated by President Sata’s comments on constitution-Nevers Mumba

Dr Mumba Nevers Mumba

MMD President Nevers Mumba has observed that most Zambians are now finding President Sata’s comments on the constitution making process irritating.

In an interview, Dr Mumba said President Sata’s recent comments on the constitution are also distressing Zambians.

He said most Zambians are also irritated by President Sata’s level of arrogance over the constitution making process.

He said President Sata has shown a lot of disrespect and contempt to the Zambian people who elected him into office.

“Zambians are very distressed by the behaviour of this President, his altitude to the Zambian people, his arrogance, his disrespect, his contemptuous talk continues to irritate Zambians,” Dr Mumba said.

Dr Mumba was reacting to President Sata latest remarks that proponents of a people driven constitution must first show him an animal driven constitution before demanding for a people driven one.

“I think that God has allowed him to lose his way because I can’t imagine a President making such comments. What Zambians are saying is that look, we want a better constitution in which we participate in its formulation,” Dr Mumba said.

He added, “For him to make such comments shows arrogance of the highest level. I appeal to the President to be presidential about this matter. We are determined to have a new constitution, with or without him anyway.”

“I think that God has allowed him to lose his way because I can’t imagine a President making such comments. What Zambians are saying is that look, we want a better constitution in which we participate in its formulation,” Dr Mumba said.

And speaking when he addressed a campaign rally in Katuba constituency Thursday afternoon, Dr Mumba stated that Zambians have themselves to blame for sufferings brought about by the PF government.

Dr Mumba said the many lies told by the PF during the 2011 campaigns were believed by so many Zambians.

“He tried to be President of this country in 2011, 2006 and 2008 and you Zambians rejected him. He then went to Chitulika village to find out how he could win a general election in this country. He was told to just go back to the Zambians and lie to them and so in 2008 he started going round the country telling lies,” Dr Mumba said.

He added, “People are not happy because they have no money in their pockets, Mealie meal prices are up, insults are the order of the day in this country. There is too much intolerance in Zambia today because the Bible says when the evil men rule, people cry and when the righteous rule, people rejoice.”

Dr Mumba said, “Mr Sata came all the way from Chitulika village to Chibombo in 2011 promising that he would give you more money in your pockets, a new constitution in 90 days and that he would create jobs for the youth, Mealie prices and bus fares would reduce.”

The MMD leader stated that Mr Sata was such a good liar that he managed to convince millions of citizens to vote for him in 2011.

“I met somebody in Solwezi who told me that President Sata is a man, he said you Dr Mumba who can’t match up to Mr Sata. He said Mr Sata singlehandedly managed to lie to the entire nation including the rich in posh cars and suits.

“Somebody asked me as a Reverend of 30 years why things are not going well in Zambia since the PF came into power. Why does everything seem so dark? He said Mealie meal prices are now at K 80, agriculture crops are not growing and he asked for my thoughts. I told them that there is something that Zambians did wrong and that we have to change that for us to win favour from the Lord and that is the issue of leadership, we gave leadership to evil men.”

He continued, “How many people have died here in Chibombo on that road, so much blood has been shed, It looks like God has forsaken us in Zambia even Mangoes have disappeared in PF when during the MMD, mango trees were full of the fruit, even mushrooms have refused to grow this year.”

He charged that Zambians have themselves to blame for finding themselves in the current mess.

He urged the electorate in Katuba to vote for MMD candidate Cecil Homes in Tuesdays by election as a way of saying no to the PF mismanagement of national affairs.

It’s time to start mobilizing ourselves bottom-up if we have to systematically redeem our country from the curse of Sata’s counterfeit era.

If we are deeply appalled with this circus, we should start initiations of smoking him out of our lives now then charter our own destiny. In today’s’ democratic order, everywhere a Zambian turn to, he is being greeted with overwhelming goodwill of pro-democracy support than the current circus obtaining.

Sata’s preoccupation is the tangible work being done on the ground to benefit the ordinary people.

My understanding is that he now “cares less” on the constitution making process than ensuring that ordinary people have jobs, health care services, roads, schools, available and affordable food etc.

For him its not that the constitution is not important, but the above are more pressing national matters that require his immediate attention than the constitution especially that the current one is still good enough.

Besides, he knows there is no real and formidable opposition to pressure him to quicken the pace.

His recent comments are meant to further unsettle the already weak, disorganised and fragmented opposition parties.

remember Sata is a grassroots leader and organiser

OUR leader must be examined mentally to determine his sanity in the mind. A medical board of inquiry must be appointed to do the JOB and make necessary advise.
We do not need compromised Doctors in that board like the Judges who were on Wynter Kabimba Tribunal. We need Doctors like Manda who is not compromised to do the JOB. Otherwise we may be led astray by a LUNATIC in plot one.

BA MUMBA, WHO TOLD YOU THAT WE ARE IRRITATED? ZAMBIANS ARE LOOKING AT THE PRACTICAL PARTY OF THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT AS OPPOSED TO COMMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT. THE QUESTION IS, IS HE BUILDING HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AIRPORTS, TO CREATE MORE JOBS FOR ESPECIALLY THE YOUTH? IS HE IMPROVING THE RAIL SYSTEM? THIS IS WHAT A COMMON MAN IS LOOKING AT. COMMENTS FROM POLITICIANS WHICH HAVE NO EFFECT ON DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS ARE NEITHER HERE NOR THERE KABOLALA IWE.

I think our president has lost it as Mushota put it and the whole community agreed with him. I never ever seen Mushota get so many green VOTE on this site.

Anyway, the preacher is right on the name. Zambians allowed street thugs to put evil men in power. We need to reverse this come 2016.

trouble is they know it and will now want to rig to stay in power – a recipe for civil strife (war!!). Zambians will be very fortunate if this lot go away quietly. Both KK and kafupi knew what they were talking about when they warned Zambians not to put Munshololwa as president. KK & kafupi, with all their faults, could be advised – this one has demon that really troubles and takes over. Sometimes I think to myself when did things change: remember when he refused to get into official transport and got onto a minibus in Livingstone? what was all that about? what has changed now? He has totally forgotten whence he came and why he is there.

The only thing they will realize soon to successfully ferment a popular people power revolt from a populace of highly disillusioned mass of hopeless Generations of the youths, orphans, and the majority dislocated Zambians.

Mr. Sata is a curse to the nation that ever befell us. It will take principled patriotism of every Zambian to redeem our country as a matter of urgency.

Sir, try to be original next time. Someone else used the phrase: “irritating Zambians” a few days ago. The English language is not short on words. You could have opted to use a different phrase to describe the mood of the Zambian people on the constitution. Otherwise, you make yourself sound like a copy cat. Sorry, if I am getting on your nerves.

We dont have to wait for 2016, we can demand our votes back right here and now. It is happening all over the world, Egypt, Tunisia, Ukhraine, we can do it here if only we can take time off from drinking Chibuku and reflect on what Sata and PF are doing to the country. Do you want your children to start all over after Sata has destroyed the country? This is our country and not Sata’s and his family. Say Enough is Enough and believe me when you go to the streets, even these dreaded policemen and soldiers will stand by you.

Zambians docile????? I doubt it very much. Zambians are a patient people not docile. The time is coming very soon when they will rise and drag Sata out of state house. Zambians are not like other nations who take long to boot out their leaders.

Sata will be smoked out of state house soon by democratic means. If he rigs the elections like Kaunda and Chiluba tried to do, then our clever chaps in the army will give him a stern warning. For him it will be the easiest job owing his hidden travel arrangements.

Sata if you are reading this now, head my advice and do a sensible thing before its too late.

The problem is we have very short memory. Don’t you remember that during campaigns PF sacrificed a chicken! This was an abomination and its not surprising that the country is suffering as result. This country needs to repent starting with state house! If I sin the consequences are for me and my family but when a head of state associates with dark worship like slaughter of a chicken, the consequences affect the nation!

Zambians, lets cry for our own sin, that of electing this president into office. Lets not blame SATA,but our foolishness for electing him.CHANDA CHIIMBA Warned us several times but we chose to ignore him with impunity. So why are we complaining that this leadership is not living to its standards? In short the current Zambian leadership woes is a true reflection of the illiteracy levels the country is facing and eventually costing the country in choosing quality leadership. That’s Zambia’s biggest challenge!! tough luck!!

Africans never learn. When i look at RB paraded at court i cant help but laugh. He had an opportunity to deliver a people driven constitution and didnt. He now faces an all powerfull president. In fact if RB had delivered a pipo driven constitution chances are he would still be in power coz the combined vote of UPND and MMD was in excess of 50+1.Come Sata chances are he wont deliver a pipo driven constitution,he may not even be around to answer for his sins. But look at the likes of Kabimba he probably thinks he will be in power forever which wont happen that is when he will remember the constitution they promised. As for Mulenga Sata,God help him he has the possibility of more than 40 years of life ahead of him and he probably imagines he will be life president.

We do not need prayers from “prophet” TB Joshua for our mandated/elected President Sata. Within Zambia as a blessed christian nation, people of God ought to be daily praying for our president. Whenever he errs, it shows that people of faith have ceased to intercede heaven for the president. It is a fact our president is human and errs often, but we have to daily involve God through prayers ( kwimba kati kunsansha na Lesa) to guide the President in his leadership styles. Another fact President Sata did not make himself president, God blessed him with opportunity to be our president, and we elected him in majority, therefore daily we have to storm heaven with prayers (than complaints) for God to help Mr. Sata lead Zambians according to our hopes and desires.

I continue with my argument that there could be something wrong with our christian nation that our prayers for the president to give us a new constitution and fulfill all campaign promises are not yet answered. Next time you wish to make a people-driven constitution there should be no sitting allowances and make sure the actual poor/ordinary people should be in majority in making such a constitution. We are not praying enough for the president to seem like he is against the wishes of the people. In Mark 11: 23 ff, scripture says: ” I solemnly assure you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no inner doubts but believes that what he says will happen, shall have it done for him….” verse 25 concludes

“When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance so that your Heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your faults.” And inevitably answer all your prayers. We are such a bitter unrepentant nation and only pray occasionally. Prayer is a serious matter that could make God fulfill instantly peoples’ hearts desires. Most of us who attempt to pray, do so even before forgiving people who daily offend or irritate us, no wonder our prayers have remained unanswered. Now let us start earnestly to pray without ceasing for the President and Govt believing that God will answer our prayers soon as desired.

Yes Sata is messing up a lot and nobody is happy but to suggest that the Zambian people have no favor from the Lord because they voted for Sata and his bad leadership is really shallow thinking on the part of Dr Mumba. The same preacher men tell us that God gives us the Leaders, so did God make a mistake? We should leave the issues of God out of the political madness. We know that we have bad a bad constitution, selfish leaders, corruption, policies or they are not being implemented wisely because we have selfish leaders who only think about their bellies. Zambians are always hoodwinked and cheated by the issues of God, we should not be expecting miracles from God! You know you have to kick Sata out! Do it period. In most cases mass demonstrations succeed because the reason s for the demos cuts across many citizens. And in this regard demos succeed because of the participation of mainly the people trading on the streets, but in this situation the people on the streets are the poor who have been allowed to trade on the streets by the Govt. Secondly Govt employees is another group of people that would contribute to the success of demons, but with what happened to the nurses the Govt employees would think twice before participating. Thirdly the other influence would come from the churches, but then the church today is so divided on political affiliations with the clergy pulling in one direction with some people while the rest of the congregants are pulling in the opposite direction.

THE REASON WHY SATA WILL GET AWAY WITH WHATEVER HE IS DOING AND SAYING IS BECAUSE OF THE FRAGMENTED OPPOSITION WHO ARE INCREASINGLY BECOMING IRRELEVANT.
THERE ARE TOO MANY SO-CALLED OPPOSITION LEADERS WHO ARE ALSO IRRITATING ZAMBIANS BY THEIR INEFFECTIVENESS.
PARTIES LIKE ADD, NAREP, UNIP, MULONGOTI’S, MPOMBO’S AND VERY SOON EVEN MMD AND UPND. YOU ARE BECOMING IRRELEVANT UNLESS YOU FORM ONE OPPOSITION AND FORGET ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL PRESIDENTIAL AMBITIONS.

Besides all these there is a mass of people especially the poor who care less about the constitution what they need are tangible things such as roads, hospitals, schools, Jobs, shelter…… Having said all this the Govt is still obliged to give the people a constitution they want.

He thinks most of them have no brains not to have seen through lies of Sata. He is disputing the biblical stand that leadership comes from God. He is saying God had no hand in appointing Sata as leader of Zambia in 2011. Instead he is saying satan the devil triumphed over God by appointing an evil man as president. This is blasphemy. If you were to check Sata’s wad-robe today, you will be surprised to find his old double breasted suits yalikonyangila nakwisamba but he can wear that and still be called a president. But nevers will just be pre-occupied with by how many expensive suits he would beat chiluba’s record kabili chiluba akwete 150 designer suits, 52 custom made shoes, 250 hand sawn neck ties, 75 classic pyjamas,10 rolex wrist watches and 45 custom made leather belts.
