State House has dismissed accusations by MMD leader Nevers Mumba that it was financing troubles in the former ruling party.

Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, George Chellah has since advised Dr Mumba to stop tarnishing the image of State House by dragging it, in his malicious agenda against the President Michael Sata.

Mr Chellah advised Dr Mumba to concentrate on stabilising his party from self inflicted problems instead of apportioning the blame on President Sata.

“We find his utterances baseless, wild, time-wasting and malicious, the Zambian people have been following the events, the turbulences, and the fights happenings in MMD and these are not new but well documented,” Mr Chellah said.

“Just like the Zambian people, State House has also been following these events through the Press and it would be very unfair to drag President Sata in the confusion”.

Mr Chellah said in reaction to Dr Mumba’s statement that President Sata wished him well in his endeavour to stabilise the MMD, so that it could contribute to the democratic governance of the country.

“The President wants to see a stable opposition political that will provide checks and balances to the ruling Party,” he said.

He said trying to heap the blame on President Sata would not help to stabilise the MMD, but instead further fuel confusion.

“Dr Mumba should devise better ways of stabilising the Party and I emphasis, President Sata would like to see MMD survive to provide checks and balances,” he said.

  1. Mumba`s accusations are just a manifestation of his desperation. The man has to find an excuse. His party has found him wanting because he has lost a lot of seats to UPND which previously belonged to MMD.The Katuba lose was the last nail in that quacking coffin.

    • At least this tIme Chellah has responded respectfully to President Mumba,,,, am impressed chellah oh sorry Mr Chellah it show you are now maturing… next learn to tell the truth

Now to all you bloggers!! comment fulu shuwa! on Masebo story, i wouldn even find space to comment, for second i thought she was dead,,, condolences to little worm kabimba

    • Sata should stop his political madness of intimidating opposition parties and restore freedoms as they were in MMD so that Zambia can attract more investment to enable the Kwacha to begin to gain.

Our neighbour Malawi is doing fine under the leadership Mrs Joyce Banda. She has stabilised the economy to a point where by the Malawian Kwacha is very stable. Malawian Kwacha has been trading at about K660 to a £1 since January an improvement from K690 to a £1 in December 2013.

Malawi is not well resourced like Zambia but the economy is inspiring a lot of confidence because of political tolerance allowed by Madam Joyce Banda. In Malawi POA is not abused like it is in Zambia by Sata.

THE ZAMBIAN KWACHA WILL ONLY STABILISE IF AND ONLY IF SATA STOPS ABUSING THE POA.

    • Chikwanda if you are listening, and want to find out that what I am on about POA is true, just encourage Sata to suspend the enforcement of POA and restore all freedoms with immidiate effect for 3 months, then you will see the Kwacha start to stabilise as people begin to trust our political system which in turn will lower political risk associated with our economy.

CHIKWANDA PLEAD WITH SATA TO STOP ABUSING POA AND SEE HOW THINGS WILL CHANGE FOR THE BETTER IN A SHORT TIME.

If Chikwanda does not understand how poor politics and abuse of POA undermines confidence in an economy and its currency then he is not fit to be a Minister of finance.

STOP ABUSING POA AND STRENGTHEN OUR KWACHA

    • @Ndobo, why words in mouth, I also for first time read something so respectful from George. Yes sometimes, its good to appreciate umuchinshi, very good Chellah you are overcoming puberty.

    • Iwe, Wanzelu, you don’t know what you are talking about. My Malawian friends and relatives describe Joyce Banda as a common thief, and their economy is suffering. Get out of that comfort zone called Britain and come back to Africa, Mate!

  2. At I wonder if chella is normal, sata wishing to see mmd stable, what about all these costly by elections induced by pf .thats not a sign of a nationalists Democratic president.Buffi….,the language used tend to be diplomatic but if it was HH…kaya mwandi what type of hate worded speech it would have been,at Christian nation, kaya.

    • is chello a politician for him to be responding to political debates? I thought as a civil servant his role is to guide the president on issues of the press? by the way, even if it was true sata is funding confusion in MMD, he will be the last person to admit it. we are now used to the lies flowing from pf and now state house. chelle thinks he will be in that position for ever. hahahahahahahaha …… wishful thinking

  3. MMD is a spent force facing the risk of extinction just like UNIP. the dung hutu boys are even more prominent these days

  4. For once we have a sober response from State House devoid of demeaning words. That’s the way it should be. Thumbs up!!

    • There’s no way Chellah could have matured that fast. I reckon he is still on the leash and this article must have been extensively edited by a more sober-minded state officer, before it was published.

  5. Please Chellah ask the president to bweshamo the heart to reinstate Miss Masebo? Miss masebo must be gasping for breath I wonder how she will face her tomorrows! What did she do, say that her invisible to the president? Scotty…. the other guy, whats his name again? what the heck we all know him, can you guys papata to the caretaker? Sad news tonight, how many women parly again? Almost Zero… mcheeeeeeeeew!

    • @Ndobo & Saulosi,

I deeply missed you during the signing of condolence book of Sylvia Masebo. I Copied ALL comments, and I will send them to Chellah to shall how terrible his boss is.

  6. Bull crap. Why has state house responded so quickly? Why must they respond to every pin and needle? Let Dora go to PF. What has happened to Masebo will happen to her. Bed wetting whore!

  7. George Chella is soboring up? The wind of change has reached state house.

    • What do expect he has seen danger. 2016 is getting closer too quickly. But i don’t he would have responded the same if it was HH!!!!

  8. I will be very disappointed with Dora, Mulusa and Kaingu if what watchdog revealed few days ago that some MMD NEC members (some named above) have received funds from PF to destabilise MMD becoz PF does not want a bemba like Nevers to stand because if he stands, then the bemba vote will be divided.

  9. It would be interesting to find out the performance of the MP’s in their constituencies who are against Dr Mumba’s leadership. Hope they are not blaming Dr Mumba for their individual performance in their constituencies, what did they promise their people in 2011, have they delivered their campaign promises, can their performance speak for them in 2016. MMD needs to be united and handle all challenges positively.

  10. Newspapers need to carry out investigative journalist we would like to know the top performing MP’s, worst performing MP’s, MP rankings and ratings regardless of Party name . We would also like to know how each one votes in parliament, their attendance and contributions to parliament, what they promised in 2011 and whether they have delivered or are on the right path of fulfilling their promises

  11. “The President wants to see a stable opposition political that will provide checks and balances to the ruling Party,” Chella.

Really, how untrue can any statement be, compared to this statement from Chella. Chella, your boss is dead sick of a strong opposition, look at what lengthen he goes to reduce the presidency just to block UPND in having their political rallies. Chella, has lies become so normal to you that you can lie without thinking. Next time stick to the point and do not lie. Buy the way, you are truly in a wrong position; statements from your office are below any standards. Demeaning words like wild cannot (in the context you have applied it) be attributed to plot 1. Please do evening classes in diplomatic communication so you can help with PR.

  12. for the first time i agree with CHELLAH Nevers has failed the MMD and he should just resign, actually the reality is opposite the people who are being sposored by PF to bring confusion are the people who work with NEVERS MUMBA there is evedence that BOWMAN LUSAMBO is sposored by PF WE even know the Deputy Minister who gives money to this Die-Hard group, but he shift the blame to innocent senior members
of the Party who want to bring sanity in MMD.

  13. If George Chellah has any caring relatives and friends in trust, they are hereby urged to strongly advise him (Chellah) that his current job is encompassed within the structure of the Civil Service and its inherent code of conduct. Chellah’s behaviour is irritating the greatest majority Zambians – including the genuine PF members.

Civil servants serve the Government of the day irrespective of the political party which is in the reign of government. In this regard all overzealous Civil Servants who engage themselves on political games for short term economic benefits will be destined to a very everlasting extreme miserable life for the rest of their lives after 2016 – and this will affect the detriment of the social needs for their children.
