Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) National Executive Committee (NEC) members have called for an extra ordinary convention to elect new party leadership.

Speaking during a media briefing at MMD secretariat today, MMD Vice President for Administration Dr. Brian Chituwo said continuing with the same leadership would be doing a dis-service not only to members of the party across the country but the public at large who believe that MMD is the only alternative to the current leadership in government.

Dr. Chituwo said failure to admit that the MMD is dying a slow and painful death will be gross injustice to many Zambians who regard the MMD as the only political home to participate in the governance of the nation.

He said the party administration had no choice but to listen to the concerns of the members who are calling for new leadership starting with the president himself.

He explained that according to the constitution of the party ” if three provinces have petitioned to have an extra ordinary convention, upon receipt of three thirds of the provincial petition, the party should go for a convention within thirty days”.

He said the party is still waiting for petitions from provinces and upon receipt of the petitions, the party will have no choice but to go for an extra ordinary convention.

He noted that since the general elections of September 2011, the MMD has continued losing membership to other political parties and has reached a stage where it is irresponsible of any one of the party leadership to continue ignoring what is happening in the party.

He said several provincial executive committees are in the process of petitioning the chairman of the party with a view of re-invigorating the party leadership in order to retain party membership.

And speaking at the same briefing Dora Siliya, who is also a NEC Member said the party should not ignore the fact that it is dying and that the current party leadership has failed party members hence the need to go for an extra ordinary convention.

She said it would be irresponsible for her to keep quiet just because she is one of the people who voted for Dr Nevers Mumba and watch the party die.

“If we are going to ignore that the party is dying we might as well go home and forget about these politics because there will be no MMD if the current situation is not resolved”. Ms Siliya said.

And Lucky Mulusa, who is also a NEC Member, said there is no need to doubt that the party is currently facing a lot of challenges at leadership level which needs to be ironed out with boldness.

He said people should not be afraid to talk about the current leadership because keeping quiet will not help the party in any way.

Meanwhile party vice president political Michael Kaingu said there is nothing sinister about party members interacting with PF members.

He said the MMD hates what the PF is doing to the country but that does not mean that members of the two camps can not have innocent conversations with each other because of the different opinion between the two camps.

He also said that the issue of people trying to block the bembas from standing for president is neither here nor there as the calls to have an over haul in leadership within the party is due to the failed leadership which is currently being provided.

He said people should not make the tribal issue big as it is not in the MMD.

He said among other issues that has lead the current leadership to fail is the lack of discipline in the party citing the continued existence of the MMD die hard youth wing which he said continues to operate without the blessings of some members in the party.

  1. They should just merge with UPND as they are a spent force really.

They are delusional if they think they have a remote chance of coming back to power in my lifetime

    Goodbye MMD.

    Thanks

    • So it was true that Dora Siliya et al were plotting to remove Nevers Mumba. Here comes the down fall of MMD. Might as well join UNPD now or Narep. You guys have fallen to Sata’s ploy ,how much were you paid?

    • MMD is finished. They cannot win an election in Zambia for the next two decades. Mulusa and Lungu would do well to swallow their pride and join UPND. This is the winning team, this is the future of Zambian politics, UPND and HH.

    • Nevers and Lungu should just join UPND as the Doras and Mulusas remain watching the broken watch. But Nevers has had too many parties to join. Is it one every two years or so?

    • For a start, these same plotters that include treachrous Brian Chituwo, Dora Siliya et al ought not to be voted in as they think they are better than Nevers Mumba. Dont they realise that in as long as they are witholding their support – not giving their all to support Mumba, they are helping in weakening the MMD? It’s often the case that average individuals over rate themselves. Look at Sata, once the darling of action people. What is happening? How old is Brian Chituwo? We need young and vibrant and mud free leaders. Who was at the helm of ministry of Health when Miti was caught up in the billions of money that went missing. We need viable opposition parties, and this crossing over from one party to the other (UPND) should end. Abandoning ones priciples is as good as having none!

    • 1. I hope everyone quoted in the article sees themselves as part of the so-called FAILED LEADERSHIP that is currently at the helm of the party and are therefore ready to give up the leadership of the MMD to others

      2. There’s no doubt in the minds of most Zambians that MMD is the most balanced political party in Zambia in terms of inclusivity of all ethnic groupings and geographical spread in the country as well as good calibre of members to constitute a presentable and competent cabinet and adminstration

    • these MMD 1diots, in the first place they new the type of leader Nevers was even as they elected him. did they expect different results this time around? in bemba they saqy ‘uwakalema takaleka’.ba mmd what ever you do now its too late, the clock stopped working at thirteen hours. those that think they can still be useful like chituwo just join UPND

    • People need to realise that MMD is finished because we, as voters, are so politically immature that we continue to make political decisions based on emotion and common “trends” rather than available facts. If we consider facts as they stand MMD is by far the best political party to have Governed Zambia in terms of the economy, democracy and rule of Law (certainly during LPM and RB’s tenure). Personally i question the merits of the “corruption” tag and it is is simply the strategic lies of M’membe. Calling for the MMD to join UPND is simply promoting politics that lack idiology but favours politics of the belly. UPND are putting up a good fight and that is clear for everyone to see but that should not be the reason for MMD to anticipate opportunities for their bellies and rush to…

    • Mushota – you’re now my best friend! I’m sorry I misconstrued your comments before but I have to admit you are correct.

    • D@mn those guys at the ‘Zambian Watchdog’ are good, I got to give it to them. They said this was coming and there was a plot to get rid of Nevers Mumba. Boy did it come to fruition. Look who is talking about failed leadership without looking in the mirror… the entire Vice Presidents and the entire NEC.

They will never recover from this, you might as well kiss goodbye and good night to the MMD as we know it. This is the beginning of the end. No matter how bad your president is, you don’t stab them in the back in this manner just for few pieces of silver.

A wolf can dress nicely in a sheep skin and come to the party but he will always be a wolf. Look at the people we thought were any better than Michael Sata? Man do we have integrity in this country, at all?

    • No point making fun of Nevers Mumba. His flamboyant lifestyle is still beyond the calling of a thirdworld country. Among other charges he faces today include refurbishing of the Canadian high commission while internally in MMD is the charge of living beyond the means of his party. It now becomes clear that his habit of jumping from party to party, each time getting a bigger un elective position, at times without notifying the people he leaves behind…..all these point to man of insurciable appetite. MMD least needs a crook as of now. The chance still exists. Even if they were to band with UPND, it’s best they do so with people who have credibility. Throw away the pastor NOW.

    • Merge with what? Another 1 tribe party? I wish Sata would call for elections for his failing musters and MPs lol.

  2. Chituwo,Siliya and Mulusa what the F** are you doing? We need unity especially in the opposition instead you are falling for Mmembe’s plan to completely annihilate MMD.You are the ones whp lead to the down fall of MMD.Mulusa and Dora you lost your seats due to corruption. Its you destroying the party

  3. All what is needed is a unified opposition to kick out this useless PF govt. A unified force has a realistic chance of doing us a favour. The best man in Zambian politics now is HH, zambians have got to move from primitive way of looking at a politician based on tribal lines ..that is so trivial and like yesterday’s politics. we could possibly have HH president , Vice president Mutati , Finance minister Ngandu Magande, Health minister Dr Canisius Banda…. a mixture of seasined and new blood thats the only way to go for MY SORRY Zambia….

    • I agree with you @illuminist*&* about a blend of young and old leaders, but you contradict yourself when you advocate for a tribal free political arena with HH as leader; i worked with him for a long time, its not rumor but a PROVEN fact that he rides on tribalism. Quality leaders are often driven by certain individual background characteristics such as political beliefs and experience; HH does not fit a conventional description of a quality ‘PROVEN’ leader, just because he is my fellow Tonga does not make him one the best among our national leaders, he has never even headed a single ministry or province and he has struggled to put UPND on national level. Think about that seriously if you are a serious Zambia.

  4. It is and it will be hard for MMD today and tomorrow. The party overstayed in power and the damage was and is enormous. The same happened to UNIP. This proposition must not be underated. Even when they change Nevers for another, it will be the same if not worse. UNIP tried Musokotwane it never worked. They tried younger Kaunda it never worked. There was desent to what and how they did things and only hard core members wanted and still want to be UNIP. As for MMD the writing is on the wall. The worst part with it is corruption, that tag is so great and was amplified by RB knowingly or unknowingly. MMD, change Nevers, you still the same or even worse off. you will be in opposition like UNIP, in pepertuality. You will prove me right, give it a bit of time.

    • No Floyd. MMD has seen its worst under Nevers. The opposition will better of with a stronger leader heading MMD.

    • @Floyd; my little analysis points to a young immature democracy combined with expecting short term results. This phenomenon of losing an election and then MP’s and party functionaries trying to cross to a party that seems to have higher electable chances just shows how, firstly politicians are ready to abandon their ideology just to be at the high table with any party, secondly, few people are willing to toil and work towards transforming theie party into an electable entity again. If all leave MMD, wont that just expedite its demise? What happened to being tenetious and remaining true to ones beliefs? How many years was the British Labour Party out of power before Tony Blair and his babes got it back into power?

  5. I disagree with people who continuously call for political parties to merge!! No, no no! MMD should regroup and fight its own battles. If it fails to make any impact on the citizenry, then let it die a natural death. Calling for MMD to join UPND will leave Zambia with the same recycled politicians should UPND win the next elections…a situation we continue to frawn upon and yet we want to encourage.
In my view, I am very much in favour of the return of MMD only because they remain the most progressive party in Zambia when you consider adherance to demogratic principles as well as the economic performance of our nation. Had it not been for M’membe’s lies that he “sold” to the nation, Zambia would not be in such debts with a free falling Kwacha.

    • I totally agree with you. The real problems in MMD is the narrowness of those who wish to kick out an democratically elected Leadership and impose their own. What has Dora, Chituwo, Kaingu done since MMD lost power? At first they were so scared of Sata – after Nevers has done the noise they now think it is easy. They are so shallow to imagine that MMD is losing members without understanding why. Wake up guys – MMD lost power and has no resources to attract anyone. Other parties are even buying members. The only way people like me will be attracted is when you uphold democratic principles. MMD needs new life of the young vibrate leaders. Chituwo, Kaingu, Dora, Musokotwane, Simbao, etc have nothing to contribute to the survival of the party. They are spent forces!

    • I don’t see how wawa you agree with worry. While you condemn MMD NEC, he upholds their right to sort out their failed leadership problem. I ALSO STRONGLY BELIEVE MMD still provides the best proven alternative for the Zambian economy and democracy considering the situation we are in now.

  6. The only top contenders for next general elections are UPND and PF. UPND has displayed dismal performance ever since HH compared to the might late Andy. If they move away from bitterness, insults, belittling PF and its leaders day in and out through the Watchdog and in public, But get to real substantive issues, handling politics with respect for the ruling PF despite PF wrongs and short comings, that can win people’s minds, and UPND can win. PF on the other hand if they stop obvious blunders like firing Nurses, handling of constitution, respect the current Chitimukulu, No unnecessary wrangle like GBM, handle Chikwanda’s inconsistencies, allow free assemblies, etc just simple things, not being too pompous of knowing it all, respecting and taking aboard advice from opposition, 2nd term.

    • What kills HH is the way he came to the throne. It was on tribal lines and people will never forget. A stone is a stone even if it is painted like a diamond.

  7. @bricklayer

UPND: the party of pastoralists, for pastoralists, has no chance , under the sun, of capturing state house, ever!

    • dont you realise that you are boring us with this rubbish you keep on spewing all the time like a broken sewer line. not even satan has the powers to predict the future, who are you iwe katolela to prophesy that UPND will never go to state house

    • @ 2201, Kalanga Street… I read something like this about Mr Sata not long time ago; guess who is in State House now. You are talking like you own 10+ million Zambian votes.

Not really into endorsing names, but looking at the current crop of recycled politicians, it looks like Mr Hakainde is the only fresh who hasn’t been tainted by politics of the belly. Yes his ascendance was controversial but I can’t see anyone at the moment with a squeak cleaner image.

I had high hopes in Mr Mulusa, what a disappointment? Has he sold out his soul Mr M’membe as well?

  8. Selfish motives at play…… “PF/MMD dialogue senario ”
PF: Imwe Bane tiyeni tubombele pamo>>>Friends lets work together ?
MMD: Iyo kaili namwishiba, ififintu kano mulebombela pamo ne ntungulushi ya cilonganino.>>> You know these things, unless we are working together with the leadership of the party.
PF: Nomba imwe bonse (NEC) teti mu museshe mwa bikapo uwo twinga bomba nankwe?>>> All of you are saying you can not remove him and put someone we can work with?
MMD: Cisuma mukwai twalabomba nge fyo ba sosa>>> Its okay will do as it has been said.

MMD: Mumba complains about plot to oust party leadership.
MMD: NEC calls for elections of new leadership…..whose playing who?

  9. Just join HH and bounce back into power you guys. I would prefer Dora to be youth chairlady. Kikikiki

    • Hahahah people think politics is for the weak and bad hearted like HH.
Word of advice to HH cadres , we cannot allow an inexperienced character who has never won any election , not even that of a ward chairman. The man is bitter as such we cannot allow him anywhere near presidence. He can be president of southern province if chance allows

  10. What is happening in MMD by these so-called Senior Members is not knew. The likes of Kaingu,Dr Chituwo stopped supporting Dr Mumba a long time ago.For Kaingu at one time he said he’s now 62yrs old,he does not believe in DR Mumba’s Leadership. So what is happening has been known along time ago and some things are already put in place,so it won’t work. The bloody money they’ve received will haunt them.

    • They want to sell MMD so that they can raise their retirement package. They have never campaigned for MMD. They have never brought a single member but they want people to join the party they have destroyed. This is how UNIP finished itself. Go one guys

    • MMD is the ONLY party to have held credible and transparent internal elections. All others have so far failed to do so. What these bandits above want to do is totally undemocratic and “un-MMD”. They are a disgrace and should have just had courage to resign and joined PF as they have nothing to offer MMD and the country.

      Useless cowards!!

    • It used to be called Victory Ministries. I do not think he can do much even at the church given how he has conducted himself.

    • He choose earthly positions against God’s anointing. He will end as nobody! It is coming very fast! GBM also is unbelievable, how did he donate money to MMD while he is MP in PF government? Time will counsel both Mumba & GBM!

  11. This journey MMD is now taking is what killed UNIP when they removed Musokotwane? How have you fallen after eating Sata’s Vernon? In any case, is there a person in MMD now who has a national character like Nevers Mumba? What you so called NEC calling for new leadership have done is rebellion and you not all survive and Nevers will still remain leading MMD.

    • Nevers is the best the MMD has for now (his weaknesses withstanding). Any dinosaur taking over will be the end game. If he had few pints of support from the two VCs, Mulusa and Dora, MMD would have been on the road to recovery in the next 10 years!

    • which performance you mandingo? you are an economic refugee there where they call you makwerekwere. here on the ground people have resolved to kick out these clowns running govt and try a young generation

  12. MMD have been making leadership selection mistakes since Chiluba’s last term of office.

The gumble did pay off in appointing Mwanawasa. However, they were mistaken in the appointment of Banda and Mumba.

They should therefore reflect deeply about what they are all about and what they hope to achieve as a political party.

As for Mumba, he shouldn’t even think about prolonging his stay in active politics. Clearly, active politics are not for him. He has never scored any gains as a leader of a political party.

No doubt, the Lord God has held him to his covenant as a servant of Jehovah. Mumba must return to his covenant with God, and he must stay there, just as many other men and women of God have done, turning down offers from politics.

Not all of us must seek professional…

  13. KK & UNIP ruled Zambia 27 years and failed miserably. MMD ruled 20 Years and failed Miserably. PF, is only 3 years in power, but have already failed. MMD should follow UNIP to the grave as they had 20 years to prove their policies to the Zambians.

  14. Although these people are career politicians they are clueless about spotting voting patterns. They haven’t cottoned on to the fact that once you are rejected by the voters you stay rejected with no hope of redemption. Witness UNIP, now just a relic to be remembered only at independence day commemorations. MMD is fast going the same route, hard as it may seem to accept this bitter truth. Their problem is when they rape a country they do it with such wanton abandon they leave in-erasable scars on the victim (nation) impossible to forget. Who is likely to forget the UNIP era of vigilantes, never ending food queues, crackpot economic strategies that drove the nation to it’s knees. Or the organised criminal group that was the MMD? Or the completely fatuous PF?

    • Don’t ignore facts; what killed UNIP was the hounding out of Kebby Musokotwane by non other than KK himself. UNIP was fast reclaiming ground around the country when KK saw the opportunity to get back to power, so he lanched a “coup” in much the same way the Chituwo bandits are doing in MMD!

  15. its a good move that should be emulated by upnd to replace their leader. well done mmd, replacement of the top leadership might give you a rebranded image which will appeal to the electorate if they can forgive you for the 20 years of plunder

  16. MMD members think that Mumba is the problem they are winning elections and hence they want to hound him out. The MMD is a party which is dented by corruption and other many bad vices. Changing leadership will not even help them save the party. I hope UPND rejects them, they are too corrupt and they will just dent the image of UPND! It’s time MMD died completely so we can remain with two major political parties!

  17. The MMD is now PF (Part II) under Mulusa, Chituwo, Kaingu and Siliya. They have finally sold MMD to PF because their future in politics is very bleak. They are actuyally PF cadres today. What is happening is that by sidelining the Bembas, Bembas will vow to vote for Sata and by having Mulusa as president, the PF hopes he will break off a good chunk of support from Northwestern and other provices giving PF some chance in 2016. The cartel is not sleeping but scheming on how to break the opposition.

  18. This is a sign for Mumba to go back to the pulpit. Jona was swallowed by a fish to take him were he was supposed to be. In this case the failure and rejection is the fish and it is a sign for him to return to what he is called to do, preaching!

  19. I feel sorry for Mr. Nevers Mumba. But the think for him is arrogance. We told Mumba that do God cannot be mocked, but he put a deaf ear to it. He has insisted that I can not politics with the word of God. That cannot happen, see what has happen, God can not be mocked it is not to late for Nevers to genuinely repent in public for choosing money and politics at the expense of God. Surely God will show Mercy unto him.

    • What gives you the impression that he was not doing it for money when he worked as a preacher? The majority of preachers these days are doing it for money. For Nevers Mumba, I believe he was only switching from one method of creating wealth to another. Whether preaching or politics, Nevers is doing it purely for his wallet.

    • when did you know what God wants. If it is the willing of God. Nevers will be president of Zambia. If it is not no matter how much he fights he will never. And so save your breath! You are not God.

  20. Some people do not think, how can one the leadership is failing when he/she is part of the leadership, these guys must show leadership and say we have failed and are steoping aside for new leaders to be elected

  21. Still more WE NEED a constitution and the dollar TODAY is trading at 6.4….SO m’embe’s tricks will not divert our attention from REAL ISSUES.. the loser here is PF who have failed. MMD is no longer in power

  22. I saw this coming just when Nevers was “elected” president of the MMD!!The MMD must blame themselves for this failure because they knew who Nevers is.His political history has been a disaater from the time he started screaming “Zambia shall be saved” !!I remember what Roy Clarke wrote about tis Mumbo Jumbo!!Our memeories are still fresh and I honestry dont know what MMD saw in this man to make him president!!He is a power hungry individual who has nothing to offer mother Zambia!!The writting has been on the wall for a long time!!Its a shame on the MMD but its not too late yet!!At least they have woken up from a deep political slumber and hopefuly they will manage to replace Nevers with some body who has Zambia at heart!!

    • I have the impression that Nevers Mumba is a Texas cowboy. The MMD deserve better and are doing the right thing to seek his replacement.

  23. We urge the MMD NEC to seriously consider what they are advocating so as to avoid being used by the PF curtail whose aim is to weaken the opposition.Sata knows that his chances of winning if Dr. Mumba stood for the presidence in 2016 are very slim given the poor treatment of the Paramount Chief Chitimulu.Dr.Mumba will certainly take the majority of the votes of Nothern and Luapula Provinces or better still cause a major vote split that will put Sata at a disadvantage.Sata has seen this and is trying to position himself for the 2016 Presidential elections.
MMD NEC should instead of removing Dr.Mumba ensure that strategies are adopted that will consolidate its position in all the provinces and ensure that Dr Mumba is marketed adequately to be accepted for the elections.

    • Much as we may concern ourselves with the ramifications of inter-party politics and counter plays, I see this more as an internal issue within MMD. They do need to set their house in order.

  24. I beg to differ with you Mushota et al.
MMD should not merge with UPND because there are some areas in Zambia where UPND is still weak but MMD is strong.
The MMD NEC leaders have al the democratic right to call for an extra- ordinary convention and remove a leader who has lamentably failed to run the party.
    Good Bye Dr. Nevers Mumba.

  25. Whether now or in 2016, Zambia needs a strong opposition. It’s good that MMD are beginning to realize that Nevers Mumba does not have what it takes to be their party leader and to provide strong leadership as an opposition leader.

The MMD must be respected for affording Nevers Mumba the opportunity to demonstrate his leadership skills. Now he knows and the party does, that he is not presidential material. There’s no question that he is a luminary and will continue to be so, as long as he remains on the Zambian political scene. We have seen many such luminaries before. They are not shooting stars. They shine and remain, but they never become the sun. So is Nevers.

  26. @Cindy you are right.

Black people I wonder why we are like this.
Jealous towards each other is the way of Life Bad indeed.

Those MMD they r fighting among themselves Bad indeed.

Let them Join UPND visilile mo jabe

  27. Total confusion. God is not a God of confusion but a God of order. How should MMD treat these leaders in future if the party becomes even worse for misleading them.

  28. i said it before , MMD under the management of 3doctors (Dr.Nevers Mumba , Dr.Chituwo and Dr.kaingu ) is under performing. The damage we are seeing started under the Ruin of Rupiah Banda.
what MMD needs is afresh start and serious negotiations:
1.Bring Maureen Mwanawasa as National Chairperson
2.Bring Ngandu Peter Magande as President
    3. Dr.Situmbeko Musokotwane as Vice President-economic affairs
4.Felix Mutati as Vice President -administration
5.Bring Akashambatwa lewanika as National secretary, to be assisted by Dr.Mbita Chitala
    6.kabinga Mpande as spokesperson

  29. If these NEC leaders are calling for new leadership then based upon morals none of them should stand otherwise people will seriously question their motives. UPND should be on high alert to ensure that similar confusions are rejected we all know what happened previously.

  30. Mmd u r just huingry mwa pharao.stop haluicinating booting nevers out is good but will not solve the 20yr damage we don’t like u.we better try others

  31. Very interesting indeed! Isn`t this group in top leadership of the MMD?! If MMD is dying who is killing it? Isn`t the top leadership?!

The major problem with the MMD is that most of the chaps in top leadership are in politics for a living, and e because they are not in government they are struggling to earn a living, so they are selling themselves to PF to destabilize the MMD.

  32. Disappointed with these old politicians. Do they think that Mumba can manage to unite the party while they are busy destroying it. Some of them have even lost their parliamentary seats because of corruption.

  33. So these MMD leaders have finally made their intentions known, everything done in darkness will be brought to the light. Hope no one of them is planning to stand at the convention since they are calling for new leadership otherwise mistrust will only grow stronger and people’s theories will be confirmed. They seem to be measuring their performance using UPND but one thing they are forgetting is that UPND has never been in power for people to measure UPND’s failures and UPND has found itself with an opportunity where people have started building confidence that it may be a party than can bring change .

  34. Questions for them since they are not reading the mood correctly and betraying Dr Mumba even adds more disadvantages to them.
    1) How much was the dollar to the kwacha when MMD took over from UNIP.
    2) What was the percentage of Zambian ownership in Major companies when they took over from UNIP and what was the percentage of Zambian ownership of Major companies in 2011.
    3) What was the unemployment rate when they took over from UNIP and what was the unemployment rate in 2011.

  35. 4) What was the poverty rate when they took over from UNIP and what was the poverty rate in 2011.
    5) What was the quality of Healthcare when they took over from UNIP and what was the quality of Healthcare in 2011, not even mentioning abroad and overseas treatment by Govt Leaders.
    6) What was the quality of Education when they took over from UNIP and what was the quality of education in 2011, not even mentioning abroad and overseas education for their children.

    • What were the levels of street children when they took over from UNIP and what were the levels of street children in 2011.

  36. 7) What was the rate of infrastructure development when they took over from UNIP and what was the rate of infrastructure development by 2011.
    8) What are the results of their Privatization efforts.
    9)What were their corruption rates.
    10) What were the violence rates in their Party
They promised Zambians that they would deliver and change Zambia far much more than UNIP had done in Zambia in their 27 years of reign, they may have scored a few successes here and there but the failures were more.

  37. It would be unfair to compare MMD’s performance with PF because PF will be compared with whichever party comes into power next, MMD is being compared against UNIP and they failed in their 20 years that is why the Zambians fired them, now with even this power struggle, Zambians may even think that they are just coming back to take even the little that was left.

  38. DEMOCRACY IN MMD. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN IN OTHER PARTIES INCLUDING UPND AND PF. WHO CAN CALL FOR REPLACEMENT OF HH OR SATA IN UNPND OR PF? IT CAN’T NEVER HAPPEN IN THESE PARTIES.

THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE NOT WA MUYAYA. IT IS ALSO GOOD THAT NEVERS HAS AGREED TO BE CHALLENGED FULL STOP. LEAVE THEM ALONE TO SORT OUT THEIR PROBLEMS.

I HOPE OTHER PARTIES PF AND UPND WILL EMULATE THIS KIND OF DEMOCRACY.

AS FOR NEVERS HE HAS A HISTORY OF DESTROYING POLITICAL PARTIES. IF YOU LOOK AT WHERE HE IS COMING FROM, YOU WILL NOT FIND TRACES OF THE PARTIES HE LED. MMD YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT NOT THIS JOINING OF UPND OR WHAT. THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME TO ORGANISE YOURSELVES.

  39. DORA SILIYA AND OTHERS CHAMPIONING THE REMOVAL OF NEVERS MUMBA HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG BECAUSE THIS WILL JUST SPELL ETERNAL DOOM FOR MMD IF THEY HOUND OUT NEVERS. TAKE THIS AS TIMELY ADVICE.

  40. Chituwo is good Doctor who was brought into politics from slumber by Levy. He enjoyed while MMD was in government and now he is not enjoying. I have never seen him go out to campaign but he wants the party President campaign alone! Dr Chituwo has to be useful to PF to continue with his business.
