Former opposition Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) national chairperson Michael Mabenga has said that it would be poignant if the former ruling party went into stupor as a result of the wrangles that have emerged.
Commenting on the recent happenings in the MMD where the two vice-presidents Dr. Michael Kaingu and Dr. Brian Chituwo and some National Executive Committee (NEC) members who have risen against party leader Nevers Mumba, Dr. Mabenga said that he is saddened by the development.
Dr. Mabenga has told QFM news in an interview that it is important that leaders in the former ruling party discreetly talk about the issues affecting the welfare of the party and resolve the squabbles that have emerged.
And the former MMD national chairperson has observed that what is happening now in the former ruling party could also imply that it has reached a point of no return.
He says it is also unfortunate that the most senior members of NEC have run to the media as means of resolving the problems that the party is facing.
Dr. Mabenga has advised that if the party is to survive, there is need for reconciliation and for leaders in the party to withdraw their positions and get back to the drawing board to resolve their problems.
They should just respect themselves and give chance to Nevers or they resign period.
The all problems lies on Bashi Alice Kaingu. Who choice him to be vice?

Kaingu and Chituwo were put there by the MMD NEC Members.So the same NEC Members can deal with them.They can still be Voted out by NEC.

Baukolwe ngabafula tabucha bwangu! It is a fallacy to think Nevers has failed when Brian and Michael work with to make decisions that affect the party. It is clear that that the top leadership is eyeing the position of MMD presidency. But they should all remember that they will need each other’s support if they are to progress. Now is the time they need to rally behind Nevers and not scandalize him in the media like Dora is doing.

For those who have followed Zambian politics will recall that one of the plotters had demonstrations against him when he led the Ndola and Kabwe Hospital boards against his management skills. Was that coincidence or happenstance? To assume such a leopard has changed it’s spots to have acquired excellent leadership and management skills is a fallacy. The MMD rank and file should not sleep walk into a bigger crisis.
I believe Nevers Mumba is trying very hard but people like Dora, Chituwo, Kaingu & others alike are not helping him. Look at during bye elections they let him campaign alone; none of these guys go to the grass root to campaign!! They only come out to complain about him. I feel they are not being fair & truth to MMD and Nevers. Wake up MMD your enemies are Dora & group!!!

These are the bas.ta.rds that contributed to the loss of power by the MMD – especially Dora’s known pomposity and evil character!
1. Dora Siliya was flipping around with Henry Banda over the Radar at the Airport and this case exposed RB to ridicule and a murky name by the Post ever since;
2. Brian Chituwo never advised RB correctly over Mobile Hopspitals when normal hospitals lacked infrastructure; and
3. Kaingu was virtually unheard of especially after Levy’s demise! The ***** only became well known after his daughter’s antics. If Kaingu can ever be president of this country, then for sure Zambia as a country is a JOKE!
Nevers and Muhabi thanks for warming our seats, we are coming to take our party back.

MMD needs fearless and morally straight chaps the likes Howard Kunda, Muhabi Lungu, Bowman Lusambo, Nevers Mumba, Mwansa Mbulakulima, Kapinga Pande, Lucas Phiri, Victoria Kalima, Mutayachalo etc. Note the relics that have been so scared of Micheal Sata. They have rarely coughed. These should join Major Kachingwe, Dora and the two VC. Mulusa belongs to the wining team but has compromised his position due to the nullified seat and mixing with wrong chaps. Mulusa just go to NM and counsel him – that is leadership.
