PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has said that the party was positioned to win the 2016 elections because of the trust and confidence people have in its leadership style as exhibited by President Michael Sata.

Mr Kabimba further charged that no amount of magic or witchcraft can make the United Party for National Development (UPND) win elections whose popularity stands at 19 per cent.

Speaking in Kabwe on Saturday night during the PF fundraising dinner dance for the party, Mr Kabimba said his party was still winning support from the majority of Zambians and that would win the election in 2016 like it was the case in 2011.

He said that the PF was still enjoying the order of strength of 42 per cent popularity followed by the MMD’s 37 per cent despite their squabbles but called for unity and discipline among the ruling party’s members.

He advised the members to remain united and not to be shaken every time it loses an elections but should make them to work hard in ensuring it recruits new members based on its policies as outlined in the PF manifestos.

“As far as we are concerned we are well positioned to win the 2016 elections because people have confidence in our governance system as well as development programmes currently it was delivering to the people, “he said.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring that it delivers its promises and that many of its promises were currently been implemented in various parts of the country.

He appealed to its members to accommodate new members if the party was to grow and should stop preventing others from joining because politics was about numbers and called for new memberships at district, ward, branch, section or constituency levels.

He said there is no political party in the country which was stronger than PF when it was in opposition.

“The so called Alliance was currently providing checks and balances but we think there can do better if only there can stop shooting in the dark. Therefore, no political party that can match the PF when it was in opposition, ”he said.

And Mr Kabimba has described President Sata as the best ever President the country has ever had and appealed to Zambians to continue providing their support.

He said through his leadership the government was taking development ranging from construction of health posts, universities and rehabilitation of roads among many other projects lined up.

“President Sata has dedicated half of his life to serving the people of Zambia in different portfolios and that makes him the best President this country has ever had, “he said.

Mr Kabimba also expressed happiness that the party in the Kabwe was strong and urged the party members to remain faithful and committed to the part and that a financially and self reliant party is important for the country as it will help run a strong nation.

He said the PF would not be tempted to deep its hands into government confers hence the fundraising adding that its source of money will never be government and urged other districts in the country to emulate Kabwe PF district on its initiative.

And speaking earlier, Central Province PF Chairperson Benson Chali who was represented by the Information and Publicity Secretary Mutale Walichupa called for an end to fights in the party.

Mr Chali said perpetual fights threatened the strength of the party hence the need to work as a team.

  1. mamamamamamaam! wynter this is madnes… 42 percent is minorty,,,, its means 58 percent of Zambians hate you,,,, and you talking like that… reduces that 42% to 12 %

    • @ Cindy
i hear you..,, but you know irrongant people like Kabimba are the people misleading PF and Sata more,,,same what Dora was doing to RB…. Kabimba must be working hard to change the image of PF.. from Panga killing, land grabbng,, wage freeze,,,firing nurses,,,high cost of living, chitimukulu saga,, baroste saga…etc!!! the rate at which PF is making mistakes is scaring… am afriad i dont see what kabimba is seeing

    • @ Ndobo,
That is the reason am convinced they have the cards intact, because surely someone who goes out flat out to boast over tomorrows victory which they have not even seen is some how amazing dont you think!
But Kabimba should know that tomorrow is not in our hands so he shouldnt be over confident, humans……. very interlligent at the same time dull as the night!

    • The govt will definitely improve the stock levels of anti depressants in all hospitals and other health institutions in southern province as we get close to 2016

    • If you rig the the election there will be a civil war in Zambia. I am folding up as enough is enough. This is not the “God Father!” This is Zambia we talking about.

    • Ok keep living in ur bubble of PF’s Fools Paradise. Zambians have confidence? Not demeaning in any way blind people, Kabimba needs 3D glasses to get the real picture of the mood in the country and how this party will go down in history as a one term party in government.

    • Typical parallel universe stuff from a chancer who can’t differentiate black from white or left from right. Who on earth did that survey and found people’s confidence in PF high? Let me remind you Mr.Kabimba, this election will be more issued-based than any you’ ve seen in the past.We haven’t forgotten street violence on airport road that you sponsored to suppress those who opposed your leadership.Cadres hacked each other in full view of helpless police, while Sata flew over the carnage back to State House. We haven’t forgotten your rowdy behaviour at ACC offices and Hamaundu’s kangaroo-style commission of enquiry. Our battle for the draft constitution is ongoing.Economy is down, Poverty, nepotism and lawlessness are rife.Stop dreaming and come back to reality, this is it for PF.

    • Reminds me of Saddam’s Ali guy who said we are killing the Americans and sending them back in body bags when the US was bombing the S.H.I.T out of Bagdad

Like someone said the last symptoms of advanced syphilis is seeing things others are not seeing

    • Fellow bloggers, can someone favour us with a list of Sata’s ministers in the order of their USELESSNESS ? Please…

    • PF is popular?

How can this be when the worst President Zambia will ever have is PF-Sata with his evil goebels M’membe (propaganda machine). Sata-PF has destroyed the economy and the Kwacha is now getting to Mugabe’s dead Zim $

KK was a one state dictator loony whilst chiluba was a privatisation kleptomaniac. Both and the close tandem of kutolafye are from the north of Zambia like Sata. But Sata takes the prize for worst presido.

And yet his tribesmen still want the rest of ZED to think their ‘chipuba’ means well for ZED!

  2. the people will even be more convinced as the infrastructure development projects reach completion during election year. the opposition is fragmented and without direction therefore this projection is correct, there is no credible alternative

    • You shameless thieves [ the PF ]. Do you think your suffering Zambian people will still be so foolish as to allow you get through the 2016 elections? Forget it. Cipelelu kutali. Vikawe ni ndaka. The poor Zambian tax payers put you there to help them-out, but all you are doing is to give highest salaries to yourselves, employ your nearest and the most distant relatives. Kafikeni po bakaamba. Remember that ta twakamufuluke iyo!

    • Some of the infrastructure will not be completed before 2016 because of lack of funds. Other reasons are poor workmanship eg on the Kitwe/Ndola dual carriageway will make this road worse by 2016 than it was before rehabilitations started.

    • in the figment of your brain may be. PF is a one- termer and no matter how much they assure themselves, it will not happen. zambia is not like zimbabwe where people are confused and can even vote for a monkey. UPND IS A FORMIDABLE PARTY. MMD despite their squabbles, can rise from the ashes. And you decide to ignore these facts. Continue licking sata`s ASS. 2016 is pretty near.

  3. Why speak on before of voters instead of asking them? You may have over confidence of winning BUT if PF can not keep campaigning promises, the voters will castvthe ballots against PF 🙁

  4. This guy is either dreaming or hallucinating. PF can only win because of encumbecy, state machinery or bribery. Sata is the last factor that can make PF bounce back no matter how Fred Mmembe tries to launder him and the party. But the masses are now geared to teach liars a lesson for ever.

  5. Haha!
I for one am 100% sure of PF staying in power as long as HEMCS lives on! However, their retaining the sit will have nothing to do with being popular but technomogical help of mans hand!
I so wish Dr Mumba, Mr Chipimo or HH could be given a chance to be the next president, for I feel it is always safe to have a one term system unfortunately, it will never happen unless our opposition fight hard in making sure that technological hand becomes default, otherwise, we will continue seeing the parts that ain’t pretty from undeserved individuals! Somehow Kabimba intrigues me, I mean… this is the guy people have off loaded thick mad on, ZDmumbwa, bloggers etc, I have never heard or see him defending himself or speaking ill of those that do to him! ummm kinder thinking…….

    • How can people have confidence in the man when he does not have confidence in himself and his cabinet have no confidence in him?

    • @Kandolo,
But how do you know that he has no confidence in himself or is it the knowledge aquired through rumour mongling and from distance observations? Brother, lets not judge people through information obtained through hate publications, politics is a dirty game it will paint you Orange when you are actually blue that is the reason why spectators need to have a sixth sense, without it, we will be lied to for centuries and usher in the wrong Maffias!

    • @ Matipa,
How can I write in the languages I barely understand or write? Unlike you my is better than yours, even if it sucks! I bet I would get 98% and you 15%, If you dont agree take me on it!

  6. I for one don’t have the trust and confidence in MCS and PF leadership. As long as you’ve done opposite of things you promised. Constitution, lean cabinet, windfall etc. If you will win its going to be good for you not for us. But I think you want to rig and so you are preparing the simple minds to accept your schemes. We know you’re distabilizing MMD so that you don’t share votes in luapula, northern and copperbelt. We know you don’t want UPND to hold rallies because you know that people will start demanding for what’s theirs now. You are hoping against hope that your fortunes will change but alas its too late. All your tactics are laid bare by the same civil servants you are antagonizing on a daily basis. Ba winter come 2016 you will see that zambians are not as dull as you think…

  7. UPND still ranks a very distant 3rd and can even slide further into the abyss if (HH) fails to rise above his mukowa mukowa clan type of politics. these days the electorate is very enlightened and you can no longer continue to rely on one region alone lest they too see through the holes of your political stories. mmd and their squabbles will take it off the political scene completely. ABZ and the alliance i cant even say much, we simply dont know them, viva PF!

    • Still having problem in associating 1st, 2nd and 3rd in crystal clear order?

What happened with under five level of education?

Or is it the case of brain damage induced refusal to accept factual reality?

  8. Mr.kabimba remember that your party has injured almost all areas of potential voters.eg bashilubemba, barotse, eastern p,drivers, universities, church,cb,nurses, farmers, policy, army etc

  9. Definitely Not Mumba, neither Chipimo nor Sata.
    We know only one man.
    Aleisa! Aleisa…………Aisa.
    No names
    No haters
    Peace and Love
    UPND
    One Zambia one Nation!

  10. kabimba to add to that, no amount of magic, witchcraft or free mason satanist activity will deliver state house to a Bantu 3 leader who insults, lies and projects ill-will, death wishes and calamity towards the leaders of the day.

    • Looking at your blog picture (skeleton) it is clear you are from the underworld as the skeleton stands for witchcraft, satanism, masonistic rituals and a whole host of nasty things.

  11. Good evening

“The difference between a politician and a statesman is that a politician thinks about the next election while the statesman think about the next generation”

    Hillary Clinton

  12. Which planet is this M0R0N from?

He is certainly a mental case and delusional. President Sata, this speech proves this man is in serious need of clinical mental treatment and not fit for work. Please relieve him of his duties so that he can seek treatment for his mental affliction with immediate effect.

  13. Two years and 6 months of being in power is too short to make a conclusion that PF have failed the people of Zambia. In my view,PF has shown areas of poor governance and also have shown ability to develop the country. I dont think SATA has become too cheap to spoil his reputation as a man of action. Its always a challenge when new government takes over. Those who have studied issues in contemporary governance will agree with me. Remember, there’s no government which can do everything. If PF can come by 2016 and say this is what we have done other than this is what we wanted to do,then I agree with Kabimba that they will easily WIN ELECTIONS.

    • No way !! One term is enough for such arrogant scam!!! They started f…cking up from from month one !! No amount off additional terms will help him grow a brain !! So Voertsek please !!!!

  14. Which normal person can vote for a u.r.i.n.e bag? Sata is finished and really finished.

Let him spend time cleaning his u.r.i.n.e bag and having frequent detoxications otherwise death is waiting for him a the door step.

    • i’m sure you’ve seen that your detoxification nonsense has always been a concocted story, Sata flew to Belgium for an EU Africa summit and you UPND quacks on here were busy spreading rumours that he sneaked out of the country for detox. shame on you. you will surely get a cancer that will require more than a urine bag. get ready to buy for diapers to trap your dung from your filthy *****

    • Wait a sec here…. where did I see a president wet his pants at a rally? Oh wait a minute… one of the southern countries of the Americas! Now is that unusaul at a certain age? Ummmm no only if you are sick in your head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. PF winning 2016, dishonorable Kabimba, is it your April Fool Joke. We still have two days to reach Jokers day.

  16. @DOBO start getting tuned to 7 more years of Sata.
The opposition only yaps just like they did in 2011. The results showed that the Internet will not shape the road to State House.

  17. LOL, Based on PF’s history, this Winter guy is yet again sending a coded message to the nation and he does not even realise it. This is a no brainer. To decode it and get the true message, simply remove the word ‘not’ wherever you come across it and add it wherever it is missing. In other words, simply change a positive sentence to negative and vise versa, and viola! you get the correct story.
e.g. correct message reads ” PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has said that the party was NOT positioned to win the 2016 elections because of the LACK OF trust and LACK OF confidence people have in its leadership style as exhibited by President Michael Sata”…etc. Carry on decoding and you will surely get the rest of the true message therin.

  18. We’ve seen it before!
1991-KK,we’re behind you, and the big man believed, the rest is history-beaten bombasa down by FTJ,MHSRP
So in order to see what our friend Kabimba is seeing, one must have Squint eyes carried by a very sick skull!

  19. Only a USELESS person can vote for a USELESS bunch of government leaders. Ask Sata he will tell you how USELESS are his PMs and Ministers.

Honestly, you must be USELESS to vote for a USELESS leaders. Sata knows very well how USELESS PF is.

Zambia deserves better – not these USELESS bunch of MPs and Ministers!

  20. 2 year 6 mths is a short time to be in power to effect any change. I hope all of us can learn from your stack admission and we won’t be making ridiculous pledges as overturning anyone’s fortunes in 90 days. If you mean what you are saying let’s reset and get back to some kind of a playing field or at least start to see things from other people’s perspective. Are politics still dirty or can we the very least clean them in this limited time.

    • If two years and 6 months were sufficient to destroy confidence in fiscal policy, fundamental rights and rule of law, what other “achievements” can we expect for the next two years and six months?

  21. @SARA
Im surprised that you have a courage to insult old people like SATA in the name of politics. No my friend, here we discuss issues with mutual respect for other people’s opinions. Unfortunately, more than 90% of comments on Lusakatimes are just insults. My conclusion is that commentators on this site are just boys and girls who have no experience in life and school drop-outs. Such platforms can be exciting if comments are based on issues than personalities. I did not grow to insult people.

    • No my friend. its not true that all of us are small boys and girls. we are educated adults who are annoyed. i know you habe been taught not to get pissed off. thsat is a wrong lesson. get pissed off and tell sata we all pissed off. we want the new constitution and that these old relics promised. respect should not be seen to be fear. if sata doesnt understand good language, we will insult him and his urine bag will bust open.

    • If you want Sata-n to be respective, tell him to respect himself and others. In the name of politics he is calling MPs and Ministers USELESS – those are parents!

If he calls others USELESS how are we going to respect him? Respect is EARNED not DEMANDED!

Preach to him, and after converting him you can then come to me.

    • @ Sara,
Does that mean you would insult your parents if they give you a reason to? That says alot about your character and not otherwise, internet is a mad experiment which brings out a true character of hidden personalities! My dear bloggers blog to learn as well as to convey information. Ofcourse we can never completely know the state of contributors at the time of transmitting their messages but a certain sequence you get you arrive at a pivotal point where you can draw the line, in this case am afraid Sara is a guy whose character is to disrespect when he doesnt get what he wants!

  22. I would not call it a platform of school drop-outs. I would be cautious and not be that judgemental. As a matter of fact even in graffiti, distractive as it may be sometimes there is a message in there.

  23. If you justify that insulting is good for you when pissed off, then Zambia has no future. Also,if insulting is good when you are in opposition, what happens to those who will oppose you when power will be in your hands? You can kill I’m afraid.Zambia is a country where Jehovah is there God. We can rebuke in love when wrong things happen but not in violence. Sorry, its sin to INSULT just like its sin to CHEAT.

    • @ Dr Wabo,
The only message is insults is mental disorder! Didint you learn anything about temperament at medical school? Or you aquired your medical papers through dubious means? What pyschology did you learn?

  24. I was schooled in Zambia at UNZA, which was built by the Isrealis, by Kaunda’s policies. Sata was a governor and later minister. I see things a bit differently for some reason. I will be back to motherland to work in my profession or otherwise. I speak from a stand point, not just waffled like a school drop-out or just telling tasteless jokes. Zambia is as mature as the UK and we should see ourselves in that league. We should be in a position to work together with people of opposition views, whenever we can (forming a collision govt should not be far-fetched). I believe our intentions are similar. Nkandu Lou said this or something similar once. Only the method of execution is different. Zambia has so much going for it if we get the grip. No ones putting me in jail for it expressing my…

  25. Kabimba you think people voted for you because of popularity, No no no, it’s because of your lies, open your eyes don’t you see people who supported you flocking to UPND, bye-election and ward losses seem to be increasing and not decreasing, the President openly calling his cabinet lazy and useless, before that MP, that shows the
President’s frustration with his team, people including PF caders are realising it’s true PF mps, and cabinet are useless,Mr Kabimba my advice is just concetrate on working, time is not on your side and we don’t know how worse things will be in 2016

  26. Cindy, It’s not my intention on this blog to be explaining myself to individuals. I am not a medical doctor like you’ve assumed and any qualifications I acquired where not dubious but deservedly earned. And to assume that anyone wishing to come home from the diaspora comes with whatever Prof. Chirwa’s intentions where is purely retrogressive. Mental disorder, temperament and psychology; you have used too many words. Way back in secondary school I learnt to debate, a health way to challenge each other’s views. Education was free then, it’s still free in other parts of the world. Zambia have as well. Am in!!!

    • @ Dr Wabo,
Hope you dont feel down because of my choice of words, I think you have misunderstood my point on why I felt insults carry a message of temperamental mental disorder, this was not to describe you but certain peoples status at that particular moment when they unleash insults. It is a justification of someones well being at that point in time. Now… I admit taking you for a real doctor that is were I questioned the kind of psychology studies you under went for every real doctor knows how temperaments come about there by finishing it up with the “dubious” line, this was not, however, to deliberately pick on you. That Clive Chirwa refrence was just a soft joke if you know what happened to him! cheers anyway.

  27. OOPs! Mr Kabimba! you are wrong again the worst president this far. No state of the nation address in more than two years, ruler from behind the face book, goes to clinic without telling his employers (people of Zambia) his ware about, insults his fellow politicians and civil servants, no respect for fellow political opponents, insolent, rude, he is involved in everything including traditional affairs, list is endless and Bwana Kabimba says best president ever. Bwana Kabimba history will judge you harshly.

    • Just leave this IDI0T in his F00Ls paradise.

Reality will dawn on him when he exchanges his office in the Justice building for a cell in prison for his crimes.

Then we can give him a copy of this speech to read!

  28. Its not about where did one do his studies or how many papers does he carry in his b/case. Its about how you speak, period. Every time I want to know what is happening back home,I read more insults than issues. UMWAUME is right on his concerns of insults.Maybe is new culture in Zambia. MR or DOC WABO, you have missed the point of UMWAUME. Dr and Umwaume are all here in England.LETS GO HOME and help develop our country.

    • Whatever !!! This is boring! People should stick to the important topic of the debate instead of becoming personal and attacking other people on a personal level !! Some Zambians are so shallow…you should not make this about you !! Each one of us have the right to express our opinions or runt and rave as we please, as long as we do not attack one another on a personal level !

  29. ,,,,,such utterances must be welcomed by opposition because it gives the opposition a wakeup call to engage into gear in search of the source of confidence of such utterances. WHY is he coming out so confident..? The opposition need to dismantle the WHY, find the fault/loopholes and seal/fix it now.
E.G in urban areas, afew PF sympathisers may have changed their minds because they understand technical issues….but there are still pockets of ‘fist raising’ characters especially in bus stations and markets…..rural population is another concerned where such utterances get the strength and backing…..
One of PF strategy in 2011 was…’tell the people what they want to hear’ which may not be used this time around. If the opposition dismantle the ‘WHY’, they may tumble on GOLD..

  30. This visionless PF party is worse than the discredited Soviet communism. In 2016 they will fall harder than the Berlin wall.

  31. Wynter is running mad with maize meal at K85 from K35,fuel at K9.8 from K6.1 and the USD at K6.5 from K4.7 to say the least. What kind of nosense is he trying to tell.Wynter mind you Zambians are not useless like you PF MPs and Ministers. So if you have nothing to tell us please just shut up

  32. Elyo pakaaba pa nsaka and ba mudala kuti bateka there is too much hatred for him and UMWAUME walasa ulichaume! unip ruled for 27yrs,mmd for 20yrs but pf only 2yrs and 6mths!! come on guys lets wait and see what will happen! i really believe we are too fragile for experiments!

  33. NO DOUBT PF HAS MADE MANY ERRORS. BUT STILL I WILL NOT GO FOR UPND BECAUSE THAT IS LIKE JUMPING FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FLAMES.

  34. I will do everything in my superior powers and i’m very confident so that my corruption cases are not persued by DEC, ACC and Police. HH can kill me without enjoying my loot if he became president.

  35. Where are do they get this data from? Are there opinion polls that I’m not aware of? No one asked me if I thought PF was poopular.

    #OneZambia

  36. And I will come out for the first time in 20 years, to exercise my right to vote in a party that will bring hope to my people! A party that will show empathy to my people. A party that will listen to my people’s cries of hunger. My people are dying from an absence of health care resources…I want to change that. My people do not have freedoms to voice their opinions nor gather in a market corner to discuss their displeasure….I can change that with my vote….And I will come out for the first time in 20 years, to do just that !!! Vote !!!
