New Political Party Calls For Resignation Of President Sata To Save The Country’s Economy

Share

A new political Party the Democratic Assembly has called on Republican President Michael Sata to dissolve parliament and resign the Presidency to pave way for general elections.

DA president Maxwell Mwamba says he was mindful of the five year electoral mandate which will run its course up to 2016 but to save Zambia from further economic collateral damage it is imperative for President Sata to resign.

Mr. Mwamba says the unbearable economic climate created by the PF government has made business houses to be unsustainable.

‘The looming fuel hikes can only compound and worsen the situation, it is inconceivable that the Zambian people have to pay K85 for a 25KG bag of mealie-meal, Mr. Mwamba says.

He says the cost of living is beyond 70% of the people who are living below the poverty datum-line a thing he said the PF does not care about.

And Mr. Mwamba says Finance Minister Alexandre Chikwanda wants to see the Zambian economy collapse like he did when he was minister of Finance in the UNIP government.

  1. So what happened to your Democratic Party, Mr Maxwell Mwamba?. You registered the Democratic Party in 1991.

    • has the other party already started growing marijuana which they may have accidentally sold to the leader of DA instead of exporting it?

  2. Its divide and rule strategy! Its been used in the past elections before. The PF creates and funds a newly formed party in order to split the votes of the opposition. Sata learnt well from the best.
Imagine Zambians choosing between the ruling PF and four opposition parties (MMD, UPND, FDD and now DA).
Its a no brainer, it guarantees PF victory and in the end DA will disappear just like other small parties have in the past.

  3. just imagine for a moment, if the clause in the draft constitution if it is there, that Political Parties should be funded by the tax payer’s money. how many political parties are we going to have? Remember that president who went for the nomination at the high court only to find himself and two members, then he says I have instructed all my members country wide to vote for the opposition. and yet he failed to met the required number. if the draft constitution becomes law he is funded. Then comes DA……eshi!!!

  4. @illogical logic,in a case where parties are funded, funding is according to number of MPS,not just any party from nowhere

  5. Another fool in it for whatever reasons. You are telling us things we already know, how about telling us solutions and join people that you can effectively implement those solutions with. 2016 Sata will win due to vote splitting. If all these “non starter “parties could just merge they would form a stronger opposition and win support.

  6. Another crap party by an equally crap character masquerading as a politician. Crap, crap, crap; everyday!

  7. If this DA shows any signs of virility you will see turncoats jumping ship like fleas from one dead carcass to a warmer, straggly one. Iwe ka Mwamba, you can only speak about means within the production control of your country. Currently you have no oil to talk about so hikes are not your preserve. You have failed to control the management and containment of copper; Botswana has even managed to bring the HQ of their Diamond processing down to their Capital from London. Such are the conversations we need, not tired arguments that even a villager knows are just rungs to get you to the dozing chamber called parliament.

  8. You form a party whose manifesto is to remove the serving government! Something is terribly wrong with this character.
