Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Acting National Secretary Chembe Nyangu says only one province has petitioned the national executive committee for an extraordinary convention.
Speaking in an interview Mr. Nyangu said there is only one written petition backing calls for an extraordinary convention which he said has come from the Western Province while Eastern Province has called for reconciliation and forgiveness in the party.
“The Province that have petitioned so far is Western Province while Eastern Province has given a condition that if the leaders do not reconcile then they will put in a petition,”
He said the secretariate has not received any other petition apart from the one from Western Province and that some Provinces have not yet sat to decided on the matter.
Mr. Nyangu however says the process is on-going and that as secretariate their job is to just receive the petitions on behalf of NEC and will only inform the national chairperson when the petitions are enough to warrant an extraordinary convention.
Meanwhile Mr. Nyangu also clarified that some individuals have been reported to pronounce the stance of the Province when they have not met as Provinces to discuss the matter.
He said such claims does not reflect the party’s stance in the respected Provinces but individuals stances by the ones making such pronouncements.
Bwana Secretary, please follow the party’s constitution to the letter. Democracy must been seen to be done in political parties. All voices either for or against must be heard but at end of the day those whose voices and ideas are defeated by the majority wish must succumb and continue supporting the party. The party is collective effort and is bigger than any individual! ALL CAMPS MUST PUT PARTY INTERESTS FIRST BEFORE SELF! BUT KAINGU AND DORA MUST AVOID RUSHING TO THE PRESS ALWAYS. THEY ARE DOING MORE DAMAGE THAN THEY REALISE!!!
Every one knows that those calling for this convention are enemies of the party, most of them being paid to sustain their deteriorated financial status. I hope MMD members come to their senses and release this sooner than later

Ba Mwisho,the Convetion is a planned trap by PF.MMD will be infltrated with PF cadres.Futhermore,PF may put in an MMD Leader who will be convicted of corruption,and the MMD may find itself in an awkward situation to get another candidate.Remember at one time,the Past reported that,Mutati is next to be picked-up for corruption,but it seems to be quite now,but it can easily come up at their convenient time.Open your eyes MMD members.Don’t play in the enemies hands.
Also it is important to note that this experiment of putting women in strategic police positions has completely flopped. It must be discouraged by future adminstrations. Lets try the women else where and not in the security wings, at Zambia Police, it is a failed project. If the women remain, lawlessness will be the order of the day. We have never had such indiscipline before, people moving with machetes, guns and pangas and wearing Military regalia and in full view of the Police.
So again the Lozis are the only useless id.io.ts in this Saga! What’s wrong with the Lozis really. How can anyone fall over Kaingu’s ar.se – a man whose terrible morals have been personified in hid daughters’ behaviour?
Literally anyone can can take a micky at the Malozi and they will always buy it!! Huuuuh! These people need brain surgery for sure. Of all the 10 provinces, only Lozis have made themselves look the most st.upi.d and soiled themselves over a simple issue that was ochastrated by PF.
This is just proof that the Lozis are a not only a nuisence in Zambia but also an irrestriviably foo.li.sh bunch of people who cant think for themselves!
LOZIS are clever pipo, they know the Party IS DYING with NEVERS on top the man has failed that is the fact, KAINGU said on ZNBC interview that this man NEVERS has travelled more than 2o times abroad looking for money but he come back without decreling any single ngwee to the Party, what type of the leader is he who accounts to himself. actually it is NEVERS and LUSAMBO who is selling MMD to PF we know wich PF MINISTERS whom LUSAMBO get money and give it NEVERS
