EASTERN Province MMD Alexander Miti has rubbished party’s vice president for political affairs Michael Kaingu that the province was behind the calling for the conventional.
Mr Miti said yesterday that Dr Kaingu did not tell the truth on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC)’s Sunday Interview programme where he alleged that Eastern was for the idea of the party’s urgent conventional.
He said the party in the province would not be dragged on unnecessary issues.
Mr Miti said the party in the province would always want to be strong through avoiding engaging into unnecessary scuffle.
“He (Dr Michael Kaingu) was not telling the truth that we are party of the group calling for party’s conventional in order to elect new office bearers. That is not true and we have made resolution on that,” he said.
During a programme, Dr Kaingu who singled out Eastern Province claimed that they needed only the two third of the provinces in order to call for a convention by this year.
He said the convention should elect new office bearers that would redeem the former ruling party into its lost fortunes.
Dr Kaingu said the leadership of Dr Nevers Mumba was heading for a doom.
Keeping Kaingu in our Zambian Politics will be disaster and shameful.How did Simataa Simataa come into his interview?The man looked disoriented and seemed like he didn’t know exactly what he wanted and saying.I wonder if Mulusa and Dora really know the agenda of this man that they’re supporting.

Its MITI who is cheating and he is being used by MUHABI LUNGU, I was THERE in that meeting we resolved that, there is no harm to go to the Convetion as long the money is there and the Convention is held at one venue to avoid confusion. We also suggested a NEC renconciliation meeting within 30 days from 7.04.2014 and this renconcilation should be blockered by founders members of the Party NOT THESE NEW ONES WHICH NEVERS MUMBA WILL MANIPUILATE. No matter how much you hate Kaingu, the fact remains that MMD is DEAD. PF will continue ruling you for the rest of your lives. Infact, my position is that I wish Honourable people like Kaingu and Dora continue being sidelined in MMD so that Mumba can completely finish MMD the way he finished his own party which eh created. That way our PF will rule till some people are long dead. Fi-MMD just die off and join PF. You failed to run the country.
