The Copperbelt province Police Command says the United Party for National Development did not make a formal complaint to the Police over the attack by suspected PF cadres on UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema’s entourage to necessitate the opening of a docket.
Copperbelt Police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa has since described as unfortunate media reports suggesting that a docket that was opened against the perpetrators of the violence in Ndola over the weekend has gone missing at Ndola Central Police Station.
Ms Kasosa has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the UPND did not register any complaint at any Police station.
She says reports suggesting that a docket in relation to the weekend violence in Ndola has gone missing are therefore false as no such docket was opened.
Ms Kasosa says her office has only received complaints of assault and malicious damage to property.
And Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) President Father Frank Bwalya has become the latest victim of an attack by suspected Patriotic Front cadres in Ndola.
Fr Bwalya has told QFM News from Ndola that he was this afternoon roughed up by known PF cadres in Ndola’s Kawama compound.
Father Bwalya says he has since reported the incident which resulted in buttons on his shirt being torn to Chifubu Police station.
He explains that he was in Kawama compound to visit one of his members who is not well and that it was while at the same house when two suspected cadres arrived and stated beating people who had accompanied him and was also roughed up during the same fracas.
UPND leader Hakainde’s entourage was attacked on Saturday by suspected PF cadres while he was appearing on a radio program on Sun FM.
ZWD reports that Fr. Bwalya has a cut on his hand. PF thugs were carrying panga and tried to hit Fr. Bwalya on his neck. what is the truth?
Kasosa is one useless police officer. I urge people of CB to protest against her so that she can be demoted forth with. She is being paid for doing nothing.

4. Uncountable acts of open violence by the panga family
5. HH’s nearly lynching in Kasama enroute to Chitimukulu’s palace last year

This is the problem when you get jobs based on relations, one tends to loss the ability to call professional shots. Chances are that you uncle called and asked why are you being supportive of the opposition, therefore, the following morning Kasosa, you have to sosa differently to be on the same side of the officer who hired you. PF this tribal inclination in appointment and not based on professionalism is destroying our country.
Joyce Kasosa, sometimes, it is wise to keep quiet than expose your ignorance and incompetence to the public. What you have effectively done is erode our confidence in the police further.

If Sata’s police must wait for complaints from people before they can arrest people disturbing peace and attacking innocent people then God help us. We have completely lost it. What kind of police is this that waits for complaints even where there is fighting and thuggery. Even Sata himself never waited when he reported his fellow Africans to the colonial authorities. And Ndola Police office is approximately 500metres from where Sun FM is, the police did not even receive a phone call that there was a fracas in their vicinity? This makes sad reading.

Joyce when there is reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed or is about to be committed your Job is to investigate and if necessary make searches and arrest suspects.
