Nkana seek redemption in Confed Cup

Share

Nkana on Saturday begin their quest for a place in the group stage of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup when they host Tunisia’s Club Bizertin at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

The two teams clash in this pre-group stage first leg tie in Wusakile hoping to enhance their chances of advancing in the Confederation Cup.

Nkana and Bizertin have never met in any competition.

Masauso Mwale’s team on Saturday enter Nkana Stadium with a five-game winless streak that has seen the team fail to score.

But Mwale has remained confident that Nkana will record a positive result against Bizertin.

“We are ready for the match and I know goals will come,” he said.

Bizertin coach Nabil Kouki said:”We are all ready. You know when we play every time we play to win.”

Nkana are in the Confederation Cup pre-group stage playoffs after being relegated from the Champions League following a 5-0 aggregate loss to Egypt’s Zamalek last month.
