Sinkala wants permanent Sochaux move

Share

Nathan Sinkala says he hopes to make his stay at French club Sochaux permanent.

The Zambia midfielder is currently on a six month loan spell at the French Ligue 1 club from DR Congo club TP Mazembe.

Sinkala arrived at Sochaux in January together with defender Stopilla Sunzu who joined the club on a Euros 1 million year year deal.

“I’m enjoying my football here in France and to be honest with you the difference is very clear – you can’t compare football in Africa to what is here,” Sinkala told the BBC.

“Hopefully, when the season is over and Sochaux manage to stay in this division then we can sit and decide if I can stay.”

Sinkala, like Sunzu, has cemented a place in Sochaux starting XI and has played 12 times in Ligue 1 for the struggling side who are third from bottom on 33 points from 34 games and another four left to try and survive demotion.

Valenciennes below them in 19th and Guingamp up in 17th place have 29 and 35 points respectively.

On Sunday, Sochaux host leaders PSG.

  1. if you have been Disciplined, Hard working and done your Job well you have a every chance. even if the team gets relegated stay there and help your team back up to Ligue 1 as you have noted the game is very different over there. Strive not to come back and play in Africa if you can (P.S get Andrew to hook you up in Germany)

  2. A permanent place will be good for both Nathan and Zambian football. There is abundant talent in this country. The only let down is that we do not have the necessary finances and infrastructure to nurture this talent into quality players that can compete favorably in European leagues.
