Nkana-Zanaco game rescheduled again

Share

FAZ has again postponed the delayed Super League Week 5 game between Nkana and Zanaco set for this Wednesday.

This developement follows the death of Nkana coach Masauso Mwale in a road traffic accident on Friday.

Nkana were scheduled to host Zanaco at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe this Wednesday.

FAZ vice president Boniface Mwamelo confirmed the postponement of this match on Saturday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe

“As FAZ we will support Nkana in this trying moment. One of the steps we have taken to support Nkana is that on Wednesday they were supposed to play Zanaco in the league but we have cancelled that match in solidarity with Nkana,” Mwamelo said.

He added:”We are very saddened over the death of Mr.Mwale.”

The ex-Chipolopolo assistant trainer died on Friday evening on his way from his Ndola home to Kitwe where he was to join Nkana in camp prior to Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup Group B match against Sewe Sport from Ivory Coast that finished 1-1 in Kitwe.
