Shepolopolo silence Zimbabwe, U-20 advance

Shepolopolo moved closer to qualifying for their maidan Africa Senior Women Championship after beating Zimabwe 1-0 in the first leg of the final around away match at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

Striker Hellen Mubanga scored the lone goal in the second half as Zambia silenced Zimbabwe in the presence of their home fans.

The Charles Bwale coached team put behind the fatigue of travelling to Zimbabwe by road to record a vital away victory.

The two teams clash in the return leg set for Lusaka in two weeks time.

And Zambia Under-20 advanced to the final qualifying round of the 2015 Africa Youth Championship after beating Mozambique 4-0 on aggregate.

Zambia on Sunday beat Mozambique 2-0 in the second leg match played in Lusaka with second half goals from Spencer Sautu and Patrick Ngoma.

Zambia will now face Malawi in the final round.

Malawi set up a date against Zambia after eliminating DR Congo from the CAF Under-20 Youth Championship qualifiers.
