Share

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers joined Forest Rangers in second place on the FAZ Division One North table after beating visiting Lumwana Radiants 1-0 in Sunday’s Week 10 tie at Shinde Stadium in Mufulira.

Ex-Zambia United-20 striker Prestom Musumali scored the lone vital goal for Wanderers to send the home fans into massive celebrations.

The Manfred Chabinga coached side are now in joint second with Forest Rangers on 18 points although the Ndola club enjoys a superior goal-difference.

Mighty, who are just one point behind leaders Kalulushi Modern Stars have so far recorded five wins, three draws and one loss.

And Kalulushi maintained top spot after Sunday’s home scoreless draw with struggling Lime Hotspurs.

Forest escaped from Chindwin Sentries with a 1-1 draw and Premium Sport beat Kanshanshi Dynamos 2-1 in the Solwezi derby at Solwezi Stadium.

There were also wins for Chambishi who thumped Zesco Luapula 3-1 at home and Grinaker who silenced Mufulira Blackpool 1-0 away at Kachofa Stadium.
