We have received the news that the Republican President Mr. Michael Sata is well, fit and working hard and sorting out the economic challenges facing this country with a huge sigh of relief.

As UPND, we always pray to the almighty God for the good health of not only the national leadership in the country, but all our citizens as well.

It is therefore a great relief to hear that our dear president is in the office because this country and its citizens now demand more than ever that he sorts out the economic challenges our people are facing.

As UPND and as a country, we cannot afford another challenge that can further distabilise the country, at any level of government, even worse at the level of the presidency.

This country needs a fit and healthy Mr. Sata to deliver a people driven constitution, address the continued depreciation of the Kwacha, high cost of mealie meal and living conditions in general, and many other challenges.

As UPND we do not think that it is right for anyone to speak ill of President Sata whenever he is believed to be unwell.

As UPND, even as we differ in approaches of dealing with national issues we want President Sata to keep working in good health as we debate and compete on bringing out the best policies that will improve people’s lives.

In the same spirit, we hope the Zambia Police through Mr. Sata, will now start allowing us to also freely engage our fellow citizens so that they can hear what we offer them ahead of 2016.

The UPND looks forward to inheriting an even more stable government and a strong economy in 2016.

Hakainde Hichilema

UPND- President

  1. I think Shamenda should be fired because he told the nation they ‘we(cabinet ministers) are also concerned with Sata’s health.’Mr Shamenda therefore made a statement with intention to cause alarm to the nation.

    • We didn’t say Sata must die. We are calling that Sata must REST, or kind of step-down, best example is what Pope Benedict did.
So far Sata is doing nothing, he is not even able to inspect his roads in his ministry of PaveZambia 8000. He is so depressed.

    • I DO NOT THINK HON. SHAMENDA MEANT THE WAY IT WAS WRITTEN PLEASE. READ AGAIN AND THINK ABOUT THE WORDING. HON. SHAMENDA, IN MY UNDERSTANDING MEANT THAT IT WAS NOT ONLY OTHER PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE CONCERNED WHEN THE PRESIDENT FALLS SICK BUT THE PF AS WELL. I DO NOT THINK HE MEANT THAT THE PF WAS WORRIED BECAUSE THE PRESIDENT WAS ACTUALLY SICK!

    • Hey, we’ve been through this nonsense before. Have spin doctors ever been known to tell the truth? Don’t you remember them reassuring us that Mwanawasa was well, even after they has finished embalming his body? Why don’t these foo!s just come out and say something realistic to Zambians, like; ” …Please remember the President in your Prayers as he continues to recover…”

    • HH really surprises me, why does he get so waked up with Sata’s purported sickness and rumours of death. What’s wrong with this man. Why can’t he just campaign and win on merit. This man had a chance when he was in the pact with PF, by now he would have been the vice president and possible president in future but because of his pride and tribalism that’s what kills the man. If it’s true he’s really praying why not do it quietness and God will reward you. You don’t climb on a hill (radio station) and announce we are praying for so n so… Well, Sir you prayed and now the president is fine – thank you.

    • Under 5
I have received your useless comments and i urgeyou to stand as councillor in Bauleni before attempting the presidency in 2040.

    • Yesterday their Newspaper the Watch dog reported that Sata had turned into a vegetable and therefore could not govern..

Some of us even started wishing HH the best of luck because we know his prayer and that of the watch dog.

Today they turn like they are in bed. Hunger for powe!!

    • Wise statement from HH the future Zambian president. He is just reacting to the lies issued by the PF minions.

How ever my friends within the state security have informed me that Sata is in a critical state and Kabimba and his cartel are panicking as they do not want Sata to appoint the acting president as he nurses his illness.

Sata’s favourite are Chikwanda and chibesakunda who will make sure that Mulenga is fully groomed to take over.

The day Sata dies the long knives will come out for PF minions to sort each others out. The police will be confused as they do not know who to support during the confusion and fights in the absence of Sata.

It s not long from now ladies and gents. It will be a miracle if Sata recovers from this.

    • HH is a sadist, the most unconscionable and malicious political creature with to live in our country.

He is the most evil man in our politics today

With his parochial mind, he is condescending and loves playing to the gallery

Who would believe that HH can honestly and sincerely pray for Sata or any human being when his survival and ascension to leadership in life thrives on misfortunes of others?

Who would accept the devil praying for them?

Reading between he lines, he actually sounds disappointed that Sata has come out like that

    • @Gen

The whole Zambia has now awakened to the fact Sata is most evil president that ever ruled Zambia. He has laughed and made jokes of his opponents when in opposition. Now is his time to reap the evil he was propagating against his opponents.

Admit you are just ashamed and shocked that HH is NOT laughing and making jokes of the president’s health situation unlike your Mad man Sata. If it was HH the president and Sata in opposition, he would have been the loudest to demand that HH resigns on medical ground like he was demanding of Mwanawasa to do.

Sata jubilates at the demise of others. He’s lucky the opposition comprises of real men and women of valour who do not joke about some one’s sickness.

Hate HH, the majority Zambians will vote for him for they see an honest man…

    • @Nostradamus
you are right,,,, in fact you are right,,,,,, Sata is very tired, dehydrated and despressed,,,,,, just look at his hand in the photo, it has turned white combined effects of dehydration and depression,,,,, awe shuwa Let the man rest and drink alot of mazi amoyo

    • @ KALUMBA what can you make out of this statement….

“I find it malicious that some people would suggest that the Head of State must stop working now because he is unwell. When people talk like that, they make it seem as if we are not concerned about his health, we are equally concerned and wish the best for him but it is malicious to suggest that he stops working,”
      Mr Shamenda says.

    • @ wanzelu

Its indisputable and not a secret that your HH is evil and a devil worshiper

How you wish the majority of Zambians can vote for the devil like your HH

continue dreaming and living in utopia

    • @Hypnotized Mind:

Thanx a lot for the challenge and here is my answer: “PEOPLE THINK THAT DESPITE KNOWING THAT THE PRESIDENT IS SICK AND UNFIT TO DO HIS WORK, WE IN PF DO NOT SEEM TO CARE AT ALL, THAT IS UNFAIR INDEED”. This is my understanding and I oblige. I know Mr. Shamenda very well and is not a person who can say what you have interpreted his comments.

  2. I hope he is really fine, illness is like pregnancy, you can try to hide it but it will eventually show.

    • Mwaba Jr, he is ok, I was also concerned until I found out that he is ok and at state house working. This came from a very close family member of the Kateka. He is just pale and thin may be because he is failing to sleep considering the state of the economy, fuel prices, meal mealie prices and constitution. Anyway, he has lost weight compared to last year when he just cme into power. I hope the doctors didn’t order a lean diet for him and he has over done it!

  3. HH maseting aya ka! Tawaishiba ati ama setting yalaponwesha? Why yapping all this knowing fully well ati ba PF are not being truthful about Charlie Kays health

  4. Anything PF says is baloney. Sata is sick and might have felt better today does not mean he is completely healed.
He is being punished for his scorching hot lies of 90 days and the sooner the bootlickers in PF admits the best. But PF is a hypocritical entity built on lies.
Let PF cadres remain in disbelief of denial, as Sata’s health is melting.
    Not long as reliably informed.

  5. Hypocrite ! We know you are not happy because your Zambian watchdog fed you with false info.High time you concentrated on selling your party vision HH and not hoping for Sata`s death to make it easier for you.The easy political victories after the death of the incumbent ended with Rupiah Banda and his namesake in Malawi. For now you can keep the cattle you planned to donate to Sata`s funeral.Donate them to chimbokaila or something.

    • @sailosu
just be patient and wait. if even TB Joshua has predicted a funeral in southern africa!. stop consoling yourself with false hope. you will soon be recalled from that embassy dear. just plan for eventualities if you have brains

    • @saulosi,from your own conscience,do u believe that mcs is fit or its just a PR.As for Rb and JB they will always be respected world over ,if people voted against them it was the Democratic right to do so.in the bible the Israelites rebelled against being ruled by Judges and opted for kings like their neighbors but God warned them and a good # of them oppressed them.

    • Kekekeke at donate cattle to Chimbokaila…. there are no prisoners there, they were pardoned by Sata. But truely HH alitumpako panono. What I don’t like most about him is his voice.

    • Actually feel sorry for tuma PF cadres who are desperate zoona for sata to be truly ok. HE IS NOT OK! When you have monkeys like Kamba also jumping up and down proclaiming sata’s health then you know things are wrong. Elo the sad thing is li sata trying to prove people wrong will just strain himself to death. No tears from me though. Bugger needs to go soonest, whether in a casket or through resignation, i really do not give a toss.

  6. PF needs to hire some new spin doctors.Leaving Kamba to issue statements is really embarassing. We all saw Sata on sunday. We all know something major went down. The only ‘ working hard’ being done at statehouse are the doctors and machines keeping him alive.Tell the truth and we will pray and fast for him and give him respectful distance to recuperate. If you say he is fine we expect to see him in public. In fact we will demand a press conference by the president himself!

    • The truth is that only God knows when he will die but we can all see the picture and the behavior in the court and African freedom day. Its clear things are not good.

  7. Long live and God bless President Sata! Now hh, this is enough that is your mouth but not your heart so would you please SHUT UP!

  8. Zambia is trouble. We have no one runing the country. If we had a presido, the dollar would nt b were it is. There is massive plunder and misapropriation by the senior govt officials. Bcoz there is no president to fear.

  9. hahahahahaha……………. spin doctors at work. ati he rung the post to ask where he has been evacuated to, why didnt he ring radio pheonix so that we could hear his voice during news time. or better still just appear on ZNBC and greet the citizens with a short address to the nation. you cannot hide sickness forever, one day you will collapse in front of an independent camera -tata!

  10. lies day in day out. At the moment there must be someone telling the truth and the other lies. Pity the one telling lies cos at some point he or she will have to stand and face the truth,. Wasting the whole nation´s time on something that is so true. At the moment, you pf so called officials are acting like someone that is blind telling someone that is not that an eye for an eye. Tell the nation the truth. What even happened when the presdo was the one to have cut a cake and still you playing politricks.

  11. President Sata is a national property, for me who is an ordinary citizen who woke up to the shock that Kwacha this morning is trading between 7000 to 7300, with due respect to PF and the presidency, I need more assurance that the president is fine than just a mare call to The Post who I think they are close ‘friends’. I demand that he appears on TV throught this week to clear our conscious. had he not been our president, he’s health could have been regarded a private matter like mine is but his health affects how I put food on the table and how I send my kids to school.

  12. Its always good to say the truth, since sata is well and fit then we have stopped praying, fasting and we expect to see mcs regularly in public.majority of Zambians don’t hate sata the man but sata ‘s character as a president and his failure to honor his campaign promises namely, lower taxes, more money in our pockets, people driven constitution ,reforming the judiciary, the list is endless.those eating with sata should be wise as their is no smoke without fire.

  13. Why do African Presidents Keep on Dying? It’s because they deserve it!

    ***********

  14. The stupidity that bedevils some Zambian minds sickens me. This picture here was of course taken on the same day he abandoned the event at the freedom statue and went straight to State House for the investiture ceremony he again abandoned and asked CJ Chibesa Kunda to finish off and retired to bed wholly abandoning the opening of the “Gabon Disaster” Stadium. Whether his followers like it of not, abena Charlie Mwango ni imfwa bebele, ala!

  15. We have often heard people say they are feeling better, chatting and laughing then the unexpected happens! Long live Sata…long live PF!!!

  16. HH still doesn’t get it. There is still time for UPND to win the heart and minds of voters that would not ordinarily vote UPND if only he could move away from cheap, petty politics and start talking policies.

  17. (HH) mambala you, a bantu stan tribal Free mason can claim to have the president in your prayers?
satanist, your message is fit for the pit latrine. ka useless Under 5 even your followers who want to believe you’re being sincere, they just follow the stench from your cow dang in your trousers like flies when they see feaces

  18. Friends can we start looking for a credible candident to rule. Sata was elected on the understanding that he had experience with local government. It is unfortunate that the man’s health has let him down. I have a belief that he would have left most of the rural areas he has created into districts into somethings to admire.

    MAGANDE
Magande has left history of being a good economic manager. The records are there for all of us to see. At one time the kwacha almost came to K2.00 per dollar while he cleared the debts for this country with infrastructure.

Others who call themselves economic managers have only managed to accrue personal wealth and nothing to show about what they have done for Zambians. Personal wealth does not translate into being a good leader – i.e HH , GBM etc.

    • I totally agree with you!
      Magande is a good Steward!
The trouble is how do we help Zambians understand?
The man is growing old and now is the time to put him to good use.
Unfortunately, Zambians are a plundered lot who no longer understand what is good for them!

  19. Kavuyi your message is true. a rich person is not necessarily a good leader, politician. (HH) thinks his cattle wealth can dupe Zambians. at least Gbm is learning some lessons on the political scene. Ka (HH) has never even headed a ward. he thinks state house is a kraal for goats and cattle

  20. Hakaivotela Heka is really a pain in the wrong place.
After stealing privatisation money , he is hungry for more, this is a guy I know used to walk 20 kilometres to get to school, no wonder he steals what ever is in front of him.

  21. This is one of the best comments coming out of a Zambian politician. Such are the comments that will cahnge Zambia for the better. Let’s all avoid cheap politicking of deception and even telling a whole bunch of lies just to gain political milage. Zambians should also be warned to analyse campaign messages carefully before believing everything that is said or is it promised. I am equally delighted to to learn that the President is doing fine. Great news.

  22. “As UPND we do not think that it is right for anyone to speak ill of President Sata whenever he is believed to be unwell”.

do monkeys read or not. that is all the man said. on the bright side it is good that sata is okay. we need a president who i healthy and mature words from HH. i bet the Congolese did not read the article coz if any did they would not have monkeyed about it.
why is the money upset with the cow anyway?

  23. HH is compeled to issue UPND position of the ailing dictator….This is because Tuma useless websites like tunyeko and tumfweko like to fabricate stories that HH IS celebrating that SATA IS SICK when not!!!!!!.. PLEASE DONT BLAME HH FOR SATA’S ILNESS TWAPAPATA…

Now that PF’s vuvuzela has informed the nation that SATA is fit..WE WANT TO SEE HIM ON ZNBC ….

  24. Right !!!!! Who is in charge in Zambia?
Can they please stand up and put an end to all this speculation, malicious gossip, feigned condescending commiserations and just take responsibility for a change.
We are now beyond fed up.

  25. As UPND we do not think that it is right for anyone to speak ill of President Sata whenever he is believed to be unwell”.

do monkeys read or not. that is all the man said. on the bright side it is good that sata is okay. we need a president who is healthy. mature words from HH. i bet the Congolese did not read the article coz if any did they would not have monkeyed about it.
why is the money upset with the cow anyway?

  26. As UPND we do not think that it is right for anyone to speak ill of President Sata whenever he is believed to be unwell”.

do monkeys read or not. that is all the man said. on the bright side it is good that sata is okay. we need a president who is healthy. mature words from HH. i bet the Congolese did not read the article coz if any did they would not have monkeyed about it.
why is the monkey upset with the cow anyway?

  27. I agree we need experienced leaders not wana be presidents ! if what i ha e read about hh being a free mason then we are doomed to destruction if we let an anti christ and person who has never manned political positions! God forbid !

  28. I personally have analysed those oposition political parties as follows.
    (i) Frank Bwalay- the best he has done is tear a dove at a public rally in Ndola- Masala-that is what a I can rember him for.
(ii) Elias Chipimo- I have no record of what the man has done at national level except to learn that he is a lawyer.
(iii) Hakainde Hichilema – holds shares in a number of companies and accrued personal wealth- nothing to show at national level. Calls himself economic manager – but which economy has he managed? – personal wealth? – nothing at Natioanal level
(iii) Nevers Mumba – preached well at church, former fired Vice president, nothing more.
(iv) Edith Nwakwi- various ministrial positions, fights for other women’s husbands

Start analysing candidents now- no tribalism please.

  29. As peace loving and wise ZAMBIANS, we can never let this satanic anti-christ, demon free mason (HH) manifest in our land. We are very confident that his one Provincial strong hold alone cannot win him votes to state house.
Remember, if we give power to the Bantu Botatwe, we can never get it back?

    • Parliament administration is >80% Tongas and their mbuyas. We may be setting ourselves up for the same.

    • Peace loving member of PF? Man that is an oxymoron. Just get lost and grieve silently Mr member of the Panga Family. Screaming at people won’t heal your ailing leader.

  30. I like one contribution from a blogger who said as long as we don’t create an environment where there is free flow of information, we remain doomed as a country.

Let us parade all aspiring presidential candidates on National TV and have a powerful panel to squeeze them and have citizens to phone in and ask burning questions. The best candidate will be evident to all.

The problem is we have been using impulses and emotions instead of brains when choosing leaders!

  31. ka under 5 (HH) trying to pick up the pieces out of embarassment you’ve realised that his excellency is well and now you are trying to save face knowing very well you wished him dead. you now come claiming you pray for him? you can fool your cows but not the nation you bimbo

    • Sata is not okay . He is seriously ill. You are just a desperate cadre clatching on to any little bits of ‘good’ news. If your Sata is ok as claimed by Mmembe, he would’ve made an effort to appear on national media through the ZNBC channels. Not Bwinjimfumu!

  32. If president Sata is well and fit, then let him deliver. He is being paid taxpayer money as salary and not as gratuity or royalty. He needs to perform. The economy is already in the doldrums, the kwacha is falling, he is avoiding public appearances even where he is expected to be. For what then is he receiving his salary? Otherwise, if he is just malingering and is not sick, let him go on un-paid leave of absence or resign. People voted for him thinking he could deliver.

  33. This statement was done in bad faith. Its just meant to win sympathy from the people with the hope of increasing his popularity, he never meant what he said in this statement, chameleon. We have seen these things before baba under 5

    • You mean to say that Hakainde Hichilema or whatever they call him, may have made the following statement from mere hunch?

I quote: “We have received the news that the Republican President Mr. Michael Sata is well, fit and working hard and sorting out the economic challenges facing this country with a huge sigh of relief.”

  34. Seeking political mileage over your friend’s health. Go out there HH and inform the villagers about your policies!

  35. Stop drinking that haterade!
Life is too short, but we’ll find out soon enough.
We all hope that HEMCS can finish his mandate of ruling till 2016 – but at the rate things are deteriorating, we hope, for the good of the nation that HEMCS steps up his game, or stands aside and lets some one who is aware of what is going on take over.

    #ForTheGoodOfTheNation

    #OneZambia

  36. I think the issue of Police stopping Opposition to campaign should be handled with proper understanding and level headedness. On one hand, its very unfair to stop the Opposition from campaigning while the ruling party conducts meetings but again when you look at it critically, if Police was to allow everybody to go wild into campaigning, then the Country will cease to be productive because people will be in Campaign mood , and apparently , this is what Mwanawasa at one point opposed and had also banned rallies when he said ‘I haven’t yet announced the date of elections’. I feel, people should be allowed to hold meetings other than the campaign trails.

  37. Those who voted for ‘the Man of Action’ during the 2011 presidential elections, mostly youth; did so, not because of thinking that he was a good comedian who would continue entertaining them from State House. They had been disappointed before and tired of mediocre politicians who were only good at making promises but poor at delivery.

The Man of Action was their man. They saw in him one who would not betray their cause after he gets to State House. But one who would deliver on his campaign promises and transform their lives.

As at now, none of that has translated into reality. Comedy and the best of comedy is all that has been coming from State House. Only the panga wielding cadres seem to have their stomachs full. Where is the man of Action, if he is not sick??

  38. We can all see what’s happening. There is no need for “ostrich” tactics of pretending that we don’t see the obvious. The man is unwell, he looks it, he acts it, he walks it and talks it.

Being childish and using revese psychology to try and get peoples sympathy and guilt (people that you behave savagely to) is a dumb strategy. Fidel Castro tried it for a while, Hugo Chavez tried it too. Ultimately they died.

HH is just showing you how silly you strategy is. You people are saying that a sick man can still get in the ring and box. He’ll go to court and be made a bigger fool of. The man will end up collapsing on duty trying to “cash a cheque” that you buggers know will “bounce”. We will look, listen and laugh at you and your childish antics.

He will die and you will be…

  39. Guys its not about malice! The President is VERY sick and burying your heads in the sand is actually doing a diservice to yourselves. Its better we start talking about succession and eletions.Atimatenda babise koma malilo yamvike…

  40. Its like refusing that you’re drunk in a tujilili drinking countest. The chap will keel over and die with you guys cheering your champion on.

Ati, he can appear in court and face a barage of questions from skilled, trained lawyers. Those chaps will rip him a new orofice, that’s what they’ll do.

Even Hitler knew when to give up. You’re in the ring with an angry Mike Tyson (at the peak of his career fitness) and you’re scheming that you can knock him out. He’ll punch you so hard that he gloves laces will be hanging out of your a$$ hole.

Christine, throw in the f¤cking towel. Your while your man still has some “lead in his pencil”.look at Maureen Mwanawasa and see where you’re heading!

When your dude is gone, the “Jackals” will abandon you. Maureen was tigh with…

  41. PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA LET US LEARN TO CALL A SPADE A SPADE, THE PRESIDENT IS ILL HE NEEDS TO REST, LOOK AT HIS HANDS IN THE PICTURE, THE DISPOSITION OF HIS BACK, THOSE WHO WATCHED NEWS ON TV CHANNELS SO WAHT HAPPENED WHEN THE PRESIDENT WALKED AROUND. HE WAS ALMOST FALLING. HE NEEDS TO STEP DOWN FROM THE POSITION OF PRESIDENT. WE DONT WANT ANOTHER PRESIDENTIAL STATE FUNERAL IT WILL BADLY AFFECT THE BAD ECONOMY.

  42. This is where the Chief Justice and Speaker are supposed to come in.

Sadly, both are either over compromised or too inept to do their jobs.

Do you people now see why having a rock solid chief justice is neccessay and why a Speaker that has a brain in his skull a conscience that is clear, are needed.

These chaps are too focused on retirement, salaries and perks to do the right thing at the right time for the nation.

Shame on these two creatures. May maggots eat your money and souls.

  43. Reading most of the comments here, its like I am in dream. I cant understand how and why a person would dispute Sata`s illness.

What is even bizarre is that even Sata at his age, he has been forced, by those benefitting from his Presidency to deny his own illness. Wow!!! Hasn’t this man got relatives?!

  44. THE OF THE MATTER IS MR SATA IS SICK,WE JUST HAVE TO BRACE FOR THE WORST WE SHALL BE LUCKY IF HE IS GOING TO MAKE IT TO2016.

  45. HH IS NOT PETTY

YOU PF CADRES WHO DONT THINK AND SEE. KNOW THE INCOMING PRESIDENT HH IS NOT PETTY. THE PROBLEM YOU HAVE PF CADRES IS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ASHAMED FOR CHEATING ZAMBIANS TO DO THINGS YOU HAD NO CAPACITY AND NO CAPABLE HUMAN RESOURCE TO DO . NOW WHEN YOU ARE REMINDED OF THE LIES YOU TEND TO BE ANNOYED. HONEST PEOPLE WOULD HAVE APOLOGISED TO THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE AND SAID SORRY FOR FAILING US. AGAIN ON THE STATE OF THE HEALTH OF OUR PRESIDENT SATA MICHEAL. THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THAT MICHEAL IS SICK . STOP DREAMING AND DENYING THE TRUTH. WE NEED TOGETHER TO PRAY FOR HIM TO RECOVER BUT IF YOU CONTINUE DENYING THEN I CAN ASSURE YOU CADRES THAT YOU ARE SENDING AWAY GOODS PRAYERS FROM MEN AND WOMEN OF FAITH WHO COULD PRAY FOR THE RECOVERY OF MICHEAL. SO AVOID PRETENCE YOU…

  46. He who laughs last laughs longer. Sata laughed and tormented Mwanawasa, George Kunda and Mazoka. He has no heart. It is his time to be tormented by his past.

  47. Way to go Mr HH.You have won my vote come 2016 just by this well meaning statement.Zambia deserve better leadership no hard feelings to PF you have tried but way way below par.eg a 25kg bag of mealie meal is at k70(mighty MMD left it at k35 only),no well meaning jobs(only for very old pipo like mumba kapumpa),kwacha against dollar is at k7,no constitution In 90 days, abuse of puplic order act .
