PATRIOTIC Front (PF) secretary general Wynter Kabimba has urged ruling party members in Kitwe and the Copperbelt in general to embrace team work and reconciliation.

Speaking when he addressed PF cadres at Kitwe Civic Centre yesterday, Mr Kabimba who is also Minister of Justice said there was need for party members to work together if they are to attract new members and retain the confidence of old ones.

“Bickering and lies should be a thing of the past. As PF, we need to be stronger now than we were in the opposition,” Mr Kabimba said.

“Do not listen to people who tell you that the S.G. (Secretary General) does not like you; such statements are fabricated lies from demons.”

Mr Kabimba further urged members to be selfless and realise that as a ruling party, they had the responsibility of looking at the welfare of over 13 million Zambians and not just themselves.

He emphasised the need for the ruling party to get organised and be seen to be organised if Zambians are to show them the confidence that they did in 2011.

Mr Kabimba also urged PF members to embrace new members from other political parties because the party was an open group and not a closed one.

And PF cadres said they want to be empowered by the party.

“People are laughing at us. They are telling us that when they were in Government they used to live well. We also need to be empowered,” one cadre said.

But Mr Kabimba said empowerment could only come through team work and organisation.

He said the party could not empower its cadres through corruption but that it could only do so through transparency and encouraging team work, reconciliation and love for one another.

Some cadres also told Mr Kabimba that they want Kitwe district commissioner Elias Kamanga to be removed from office because he is allegedly arrogant and boastful.

The cadres also emphasised the need for the party at national level to respect their choice for people to stand as parliamentarians in 2016. Mr Kabimba said he had taken note of their concerns and promised to return to Kitwe for party mobilisation programmes.

    • Under the current cirmcumstances in Zed it is news worthy coz it’s about how Kabimba is doing everything to strategically position himself as the best replacement for Sata should anything adverse arise from his ill health….sad indeed.

    • The I.diot should be looking and talking about means to stabilise the economy not the nonsense we are hearing. But I tell you all dunderhead Zambians are dancing with him without any thought of what is happening to the economy. God help us. Another presidential by election after this coming one in the waiting anyway unless Aids is not real.

    • The state of affairs suits Summer’s ambitions to the core. Everything has fallen in place for his dream job.

The only things which is working against him is the fact that he is not worthy voting for and history has it that even in his home land he has been rejected on twice.

  1. we hope your party mobilizations wont make you lose focus on your ministerial job Kabimba. the nation still needs very active input into ministry of justice from you. otherwise, pf good job so far. the only party allergic to corruption

    • It will be interesting to know Hon. Kabimba opinion, as a Minister of Justice of the Christian Nation which is ruled by Ten Commandments, on the death sentence imposed on the pregnant Christian woman because of her refusal to renounce her faith by his “democratic” Sudanese friend Al Bashir!!!

    • Kudos you have no sense of responsibility to your own thoughts. PF so far so good for what? You should feel shame for yourself. PF has been a failure in all aspects.

  2. when opposition holds a party mobilization meeting you disrupt them with police in riot gear.2016 is coming. Pf will be more shocked than Joyce banda of Malawi.

  3. He is not a presidential material not even ministerial material. Cadres what empowerment political parties have no money go to school and get a life

  4. I am not a fun of Winter but at the rate things are going he may end up being the next president by default until an election is held which he will rigg and continue in office upto 2021.. am worried

  5. Why is Winter addressing PF members at the Civic Centre. Party affairs should not be conducted at government venues. And I wonder if he got a Police permit as well. These hypocrites!

  6. As docile as we Zambians are, we will be too lazy to try on a worthy leader, but will instead vote this joker into office and finally secure our place as a failed state.

We need to look beyond party politics and look at the good of the nation. If the nation is sick, then so are we. If the nation is healthy, then so are we.

  7. Why is the baby mampala greeting people wearing dark shades… it’s not even sunny and he can’t even look the people greeting him in the eyes. How rude! So this cat actually thinks he will rule Zambia?

    • He looks like a bandit with no stature of a national leader, this winter is. Anyway he is only a leader in Ukwas eyes because winter has never been selected by anybody. He owes all his stupidity to Ukwa.

  8. Police should STOP Winter or else let others have meetings. Lets get rid pf. We need our freedom of assembly back. You can’t steal this one from us after stealing the constitution. PF will find Winter so difficult to sale
