Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba has said that the people of Western province deserve development because it is their birth right.

Mr Seyuba said that government remains committed to develop western province just like any other province.

He explained that government is willing to consult widely with stakeholders on issues of developing the province.

He said this when the Western Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry paid a courtesy call on him today.

Chamber Chairperson Gibby Mukelabai appealed to government to fully involve the association in decision making processes that relate to commerce and industry in the province.

He said there is need to incorporate the Western Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry in government developmental coordinating committees both at provincial and district levels as well as council meetings.

Mr Mukelabai has since urged government to consider awarding contracts to the local business community in order for them to have a share of the national cake.

  1. I don’t know why people panic for political scores. why say western province ‘deserves’ development? is development a reward? if so for what? look just say western province NEEDS development! Please. This is the truth!
