Mighty eyeing Barclays Cup qualification

Share

FAZ Division One North leaders “Mighty” Mufulira Wanderers are just one point away from qualifying for the 2014 Barclays Cup.

The legendary cup fighters must avoid defeat in Sunday’s away Week 17 match against Ndola United at Musa Kasonka Stadium in Ndola to remain on top of the table half way into the 2014 season.

Mighty top the table with 31 points from 16 matches and are three points above second placed Kalulushi Modern Stars and Forest Rangers who tied on 28 points.

In case Kalulushi and Forest fail to win their respective Week 17 matches, Mighty can still remain on top even if they lose to Ndola United.

Wanderers are currently enjoying fantastic form under coach Manfred Chabinga who arrived at Shinde Stadium earlier this season.

Meanwhile, Kalulushi on Sunday travel to Ndola to face promoted Gomes Wanderers while Forest will host Chambishi at Dola Hill in Ndola.
