When my dad died in 1999, I knew I was supposed to step up and pastor the church. I felt it so strongly inside, but in my mind it just didn’t make sense. I had never ministered before nor been to seminary.
I said, “God, this doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m going to take a step of faith, believing that You know what’s best for my life.” As I stepped into the vast water of the unknown, as I got my feet wet, so to speak, that’s when the waters parted. God has taken me places I’ve never dreamed.
Some people are waiting for the waters to part, and then they think they’ll take a step of faith. But your obedience is what causes the water to part! You might think you are waiting on God, but God is waiting on you.
If you’ll do what you know God is asking you to do, then your obedience will activate His favor, the increase, the blessing. Much of what happens along the way are simply tests. Don’t wait for the water to part. Step out, believe God and walk into the blessing He has in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, today I choose to trust You and step out in faith. I know that You are with me and parting the seas of the unknown in front of me. Show me Your glory as I honor and obey You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Hmm people still believe in the allegories of the bible as true events of history? Imwe mwe bantu, you would have to be crazy to believe the world is just 15 000 years old. thats what the bible says. 7 days of creation. to the god of the bible, its says a day is like a thousand years, so we have 7000 years. then from the chronology of the bible following the years that are given e.g Adam lived 930 years, begat his son when he was say 700 years, we can follow and calculate the years to present day. i have followed this chronology and it is approximately 6000 years. so together it is about 13 years since god created the earth. i give an allowance of 2000 years just to make it more credible. So now, with all we know in science as fact, you mean creation is 15000 years old. get a life!!!

Only us black people do not know its a lie and we continue to defend and perpetuate this awful sickening lies in the bible. The Joel and Victoria Osteens know its a lie but hey who cares if they can make a very healthy living out of peoples gullibility….I mean this couple command a net worth of $50,000,000 whilst their zombie followers in Africa wallow in poverty.
All we ask our brothers and sisters is to research more about religions especially Christianity.

I’m happy to see some comments of fellow Zambians who acually think beyond Religion. Here is my confession.I was once a born again Christian, i spoke in tongues and Jesus was everything to me until i came back to Reality. Doubt which is humbling got me into questioning God and when i looked for answers in the bible, especially on suffering, purpose of universe, creation. I knew the bible did not have the answers. The bible as well as many other Religious books have been in seculation for a couple of thousand yrs and when one reads and understands how all these books came into place, i just say it is sad. Don’t waste your life seeking answers from a stale book, it has none and it contradicts itself many times than you can count. Youtube Burt Ehrman if you a Christian and learn.
