Opposition All People’s Congress (APC) President Nason Msoni has charged that the released still-pictures of President Michael Sata chairing a Cabinet meeting on Monday do not put to rest the speculations over his state of health.

Mr. Msoni has told Qfm news that President Sata should have instead addressed the nation as opposed to releasing still pictures of him.

Mr. Msoni says this is especially that the nation has also been stressed and desperate for information about President Sata’s wellbeing in the face of widespread speculations that he is unwell.

He says this is why he thinks that the released pictures of the President addressing Cabinet are far from the truth.

Mr. Msoni has suggested that government should at this end tell the nation what the President’s health status is as people still have doubts even with release of the pictures.

But Chief Government Spokesperson Joseph Katema has maintained that the released pictures of the President addressing Cabinet yesterday are the official position of government.

Dr. Katema, who is also Information and Broadcasting Minister, has told Qfm News that he was personally in attendance of the Cabinet meeting at State House which President Sata chaired.

He says anyone still not convinced about the President’s well being can continue politicking as there is no big issue as far as he is concerned.

    • I think this government is very arrogant.
This is the highest level of disrespect for its citizens. How can the government say the released pics are the position of the government on Sata?
We can’t be ruled by a president on pictures. We need to interact with him.
It’s as good as having Obama’s pictures pasted on walls Of statehouse and assume he is our president.
We voted for a human being not a picture.

    • Sata is dead. There’s been an unannounced coup d’etat in Zambia. PF sycophants should just shut up and desist from boring us with their trash.

    • This is no longer an issue and if you cant believe then show the nation the pictures of Sata that you have

This show why you are a political loner

    • Out of curiosity, has Kabimba been relieved of the acting President position? If so, then the President is in control. Just for records sake, if this is proven otherwise, we know who to take to task over the fact that Zambia is now on auto-pilot, with no one at the controls.

    • If one reads between the lines as every normal person will do, Sata is either dead or incapacitated beyond recovery. No other way. We are not f*&ls.
      1. Guy Scott all of a sudden (FROM NOWHERE) starts telling us that Mulenga Sata, Given Lubinda can’t stand as presidential candidates and that Kabimba as the senior-most PF member deserves the seat
      2. Mulenga Sata TELLS OFF Scott that he can stand as president too
      3. Castrated (by Kabimba) Given Lubinda says he wants a PEOPLE DRIVEN CONSTITUTION despite Sata says no one should talk about the constitution
      4. Pompous George Chellah is now HUMBLE
      5. He (Chellah) provides OLD PHOTOS of Sata in a cabinet meeting as prove that Sata is alive
      6. First lady almost gives an OBITUARY of his husband to Zimbabwean paper
      7. First lady loses her…

    • YES: Only live ZNBC Camera pictures will convince the majority not mere bragging from misinformation chalatans. Let the president address the nation. Even my friend MUSHOTA is running out of patience

  1. Seeing is believing. We are in the 21st Century, we can’t be fed on old still images. We need live pictures. Come on guys give us a break!

  2. what a pity! No wonder Dr. katema looks more like a patient than a Doctor. You and your boss are all sick, both physically and mentally.

  4. They are all used to seeing a president who always travel. Our new president, HEMCS has set a new precedent and he is silently doing his work. His office is at State House and that is where he should always be. HEMCS is a unique man and president. We can now see an precedent development in Zambia everywhere one goes. Let us just accept it and moves. Please stop hearing from this useless persons such a Msoni and Tayali. Who are they by the way??? We love our president. God bless and protect Sata and his family from his enemies so that he live longer.

    • This is a typical Bemba behavior; when the Chitimukulu dies, they take 1yr before announcing to the public. We are seriously being treated to ‘kalindula’ here. If the President is alive then the army has to help rescue him. How can the commander in-chief be under house arrest and service chief are idioling around? These guys need to be demoted & get young tucks to protect our elected President.

    • Dont just yap on the so called unprecedented development. I hope you even understand what unprecedented means. Seeing how you have spelt it makes me doubt. Show us figures. MMD tarred Mutanda – Chavuma, Kasama – Luwingu, Chipata – Lundazi, Chipata – Mambwe- Mfuwe, Namwala – Choma, Senanga- Mongu, Sesheke – Livingstone, Sesheke – Senanga Roads. They also rehabilitated Lusaka – Livingstone, Lusaka – Chipata (Great East), Lusaka – Ndola, Kapiri – Nakonde and Mongu – Lusaka Rds. They widened the Great North Rd from Town to Mandevu, Great East Rd from Town to Chelstone, Kafue Rd from Chilanga to Town. They widened the Kafue Chirundu Rd. They expanded the power station at Kariba and they were expanding the Kafue Gorge station. I also forgot the Kalabo Mongu Rd. What about PF? Give us figures.

    • @mamen…. sure like the sound of that analysis. It would be nice to allow The PF to give us a sneak preview of their policies at work like you have tabled out some of MMDs initiatives and achievements. I am aware of the imparity in the number of years in government by either party but historical modelling and analysis of data should be able to show us how the two trended. I prefer this kind of discussion rather than talking about ghosts, dead people, mummies and zombies until we all start having nightmares!

  5. So long as You minions ‘re alive & surviving everyday is o’gud.Stop stressing on my Presidents wearbouts & just get on with day to day errands imwe ba makaka, nishi kashi ishupilepo apa.Get a life mweah.Sata this Sata that, manasha ubumi bwandi pafula.Eao chakalipa ese ambone, mwaunfwa teh?Napwiha.

  6. Chikens can’t fly higher. Why Kabimba acting president if Sata is ok? But don’t celebrate his sickness pipo tomorrow it might be U.

  7. WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO PRESIDENT SATA?THAT’S IS WHAT IS HAPPENING IN PF THEY WILL LIE TO US UNTIL THE KNOW THEY HAVE NOW BURIED ENOUGH MONEY IN THE GROUND THE MMD STYLE THEY ARE WHOLE THE SAME RECYCLED LEADERS PLEASE GIVE CHANCE TO US YOU OLD PEOPLE NO WONDER YOU PICK CANDIDATES WHO BY NOW SHOULD RETIRE AND GO BACK TO THE LAND AS KAUNDA USED TO SAY ALTHOUGH HE HIMSELF AFTER RETIRING IS STILL IN TOWN,ZAMBIAN POLITICIANS ARE CHANCERS.

  8. This is the worst kind of childishness exhibited by the PF. You can’t rule a nation like that through hide and seek. Also as Zambians we should stop being sleepy and docile like this. These guys are just waiting for the $1 billion to come, plunder it and give us our king cabbage as we go for fresh elections while they scamper to Cuba, Sudan etc. with their loot.

  9. But what is government’s response to the requests to have the president address the nation to as proof that he is in good health? What’s so difficult about the request? Is Katema dismissing this request as “mere politicking”? We want the president to address us. I feel this is not too much to ask considering that there have been so many rumours doing the rounds regarding Sata’s health status. So, Katema must not people for granted.

    • That is too much to ask for. President Sata will go down in history as the President who never saw the need to address the nation. Reason, he may be found out that he has had no clothes

  10. If Mr Sata is there he ought to stop his arrogance and come out of his hiding place and present himself to the people. Humble and true leaders occasionally do go out to mingle and chat with the people at their working places and markets but Mr Sata’s Zambia is just within the perimeters of state house and nothing else.
He has made no effort to visit the districts apart from some places where there has been PF induced bye-elections to campaign. If he is there let him come out of his shell, take a ride down independence Ave, stop somewhere and greet the people. Those fake birthday photos are damaging his character as a person.

  11. A lot of drama pa ZED. So now we have got a ghost president in the name of Michael Chilufya Sata. The cobra has now stopped biting.

  12. Sata please don’t listen to these false prophets. If really you are not feeling well, please take your time to rest. let them talk as they are hitching with envy. Just rest sir until you are very well .

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  13. I usually come here for the comments, such good commentary and banter.
For most however, it is disappointing that they are never impartial and don’t provide balanced commentary. That said, i am really hoping that the president is okay. We should never reach that place as a nation that we wish ill of someone just because we disagree ,or don’t support their position, or in the PF’s case, their leadership. The current crop of leaders leaves much to be desired ,whether it be PF, UPND, MMD, because they are all cut from the same cloth. We need a change, a total cleansing of the current political landscape to allow fresh thinking on how to move our Zambia forward.
