National Restoration Party (NAREP) President Elias Chipimo Junior says the Patriotic Front government should realize that Chiefs will be there in perpetuity.

Mr. Chipimo has told Qfm News in an interview that it is disheartening to note the lack of respect by the PF government for Traditional Leaders.

Mr. Chipimo says Chiefs in Zambia have always been there since the colonial era, and that the
PF Government will go while they will remain.
The NAREP Leader says traditional leaders deserve respect from all Zambians regardless of one’s position in society.

Mr. Chipimo states that interference in Chiefs affairs at any level is unacceptable, adding that his party will stand firmly behind all Traditional Authorities and the procedures and processes of ascendancy to the throne.

  1. Please chipimo be specific say SATA AND NKANDU LUO FO OLISH BEMBAS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR CHIEFS

    • When it comes to money the so called Chiefs run to GRZ to get the salary (tax payers) ,but when Chiefs break GRZ law & they are then followed up, Chipimo & the minions claim GRZ interference…infact they should remove chief’s details on NRC!!!

  2. Ba Chipimo this is stale news and every politician has commented on it. Bring another angle to this topic because this angle is boring.

  3. There is hypocrisy in Bemba dominated PF government. They pre occupy themselves labeling others as tribalists when they can not even respect their Chief Chitimukulu or Mwatakazembe. Zambians will be watching during the 2016 elections who these traditional leaders will be voting for between UNPD and PF or MMD and PF parties.

  4. “Mr. Chipimo says Chiefs in Zambia have always been there since the colonial era”. This is historically and factually incoherent. Chiefs in Zambia preceded colonialism, Mr Oxford man! They were there even before that sad interlude of our history. Read your history correctly, Elias.

    • Naimwe ni chizungu chabe apa. He just chose to start at colonial time but we know chiefs precede colonial times. In fact he said, “… always been there…” but chose to put time frame which people can relate too. Don’t always be argumentative. Thanks

  5. Ba Chipimo you are finishing slowly, stop office politics, go out and sell yo self.Talking about chiefs in a swinging chair will not get you a vote, nobody in the rural grassroots even knows yo party.

    • Spot on! And by the time he gets to the grassroots the PF government would have built these same chiefs new Palaces and they will still be driving 4×4 and drawing salaries from government. Why cant these opposition leaders tell us what new policies they would implement if they came into power?
