The Non Governmental Organization Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has appealed to President Michael Sata to clear all the negative speculations about him by making a public appearance.

NGOCC Board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo told Qfm news that President Sata will do the majority Zambians proud by making a public appearance.

Ms Grillo said Zambians are becoming depressed for not seeing their President who they love and cherish.

She said that President Sata should know that Zambians miss him and are eager to see him address any national event just to end speculations about him.

Ms Grillo further added that Zambians are not satisfied with statements suggesting that the Head of State is well and working.

She said people want to hear it from the President himself that he is well.

  1. Sata will reappear only on his terms and not by public promptings. By now we all know he is the original chumbu munshololwa. He is healthy, up and running the affairs of the nation, albeit in the shadows but alive and kicking, so they tell us. And it looks like we have come to terms with this lunatic state of affairs going by the calm acceptance of his hibernation in some hole somewhere in state house or Israel, who knows?

    • Awe mwandini Aunty we have all looked past the missing python…

….we also have a good idea why Kaseba isn’t seen smiling away all over the place anymore.

Ya! ba! I never thought the “end” would be so embarassing….

      LOL! Thanks.

  2. Mrs Grillo, it seems you have got issues with the head of state. Being used by the UPND to champion their ill strategy will make you look like an outlawed. Sata was in South Africa , chairs the cabinet your demands are just far fetched and lacks understanding. The problem Mrs Grillo is that you are eating with both hands such that you have lost your bearings (brains). Your behaviour is like that of mad dogs making noise when it’s not time to make noise. My advice is make sure you do moderate physical exercises you are too fat and cardio vascular diseases will not spare you. Running up and down to be seen as the champion of the champions when this is too opposite. Your sponsor have failed two poor political strategies, constitution and now president Sata ill health Debate. They are…

    • Pafwenamwine, your response is so personal and venomous, even if you could have had a point you shot yourself in the leg. It is clear to any reader that this is personal, not objective or issue based, so, my friend, on this one you score no points, you convince no one.

  3. “Ms Grillo says Zambians are becoming depressed for not seeing their President who they love and cherish.”………………………This is a joke right? But does Zambia really need a President seriously? I think the sichu right now is evident that office is not necessary.

  4. Are the people at the ZAMBIAN WATCH DOG ever get tired at all? Just what kind of mortals are they? Every second, minute, hour, day week it’s ……

    SATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATASATA!

I don’t know what kind of Government they will have given a chance to rule. They have shown to be an extremely HATEFUL group of Zambians (if at they are). For God’s sake, SATA did not become President through the back door; he was elected by the majority of the Zambian electorate, Alaaah…

    • Point of correction son, Sata is a minority president. 42% voted for him and when I do ama calculations, that is less than 50%. Hope this helps your comment.

    • I am neither UPND nor partisan for that matter, but I would also like to see my president clear the air. What he is being asked to do is very simple and is in line with his work as a politician and head of state. Just appear somewhere visible and say a few words. That is all. Those who are pro-Sata should be happy that this will shame their critics. If on the other hand he is infact ill and incapable, he will get more sympathy and love and he will pass on with a unanimous well-wish. This thing has become an issue whether we like it or not, and being arrogant only fuels more distrust in the government, the party and indeed the President himself. The solution to all this is very simple. Advise your man to appear. Even Shaka the Zulu had to with spear wounds, and he was not even a democrat.

    • True my dear. But I wonder if those that voted for him knew that he would end up a blogger, taking un anounced sick holidays, mounting a ultra modern cancer hospital at Nkwazi house, appointing only relations and friends to influencial posts, would be controlled by membe etal etc…..

  5. Beatrice Grillo has turned NGOCC into a Political Party. She has destroyed the organisations Vision, Mission, Objectives and Values. NGOCC is supposed to be a women’s movement championing the empowerment of women in Zambia, but alas all we hear are statements that are nowhere near the organisations mandate or intended purpose.

  6. Does it mean Zambians we ve no better issue to look at President Sata is just a human being created by God who is also bound to fall sick like like Zambian. why all that noise do something Zambians Sata is not a stone people he ll come back if God say yes.

  7. NOW YOU SEE HIM NOW YOU DONT PRESIDENT. What a failed project this has been. PF are failures and have just brought a different culture of doing politics in Zambia. What a shame! We should never repeat such projects in the future. MMD are corrupt and we cant afford to repeat that as well. Lets now try a new breed of politicians the UPND!

  8. Time is the master and time will tell. Sata cannot hide in state house forever, ninshita fye bane no worries! Sata is stubborn and can never succumb to the public or anyone. He will one day come out alive or dead!

  9. If Zambians wanted a magician for president who just by a mere stroke of “abracadabra” he appears or disappears, they would have voted for David Copperfield etc, not Sata. We elected him to lead the country from a visible and clear front, not silently from behind scenes. And if he is not sick as his goons keep on claiming, let him come out. If he is sick, he should quit and f**k off to Chitulika and leave power to those in good health. We are sick and tired of this old fool’s stinking toilet acrobatics.

  10. In zambia, it would appear that once your in power, your beyond reproach despite that you were elected by popular vote…. Snap. You pleaded for votes and now you don’t care to respond when they ask you questions. Mr President, no man is an island. You still need us to govern…

  11. They even switched off ZNBC so that we dont ask on whereabouts of the president. Well spoken Madam, You are just neutral, you don’t support any political party.

  12. gone too far naiwe chi grillo ngocc ukubipa umutima kwati uli chanakashi and yet uli chaume. Find a woman to marry your barchalorhood is confusing you. This is really boring grillo, its old news. Give us more progressive info not this gabbage.

  13. @Pafwenamwine, Mwape Mbokeme & Zon van der bull,

Leave Ms Grillo alone, quite frankly you know what she is saying is true and of great concern to all sane and right thinking Zambians. It is not about whether Sata is your relative or tribesman, it’s about Sata’s failure to perform as president.

  14. Just kick this 5tupid !diot out.

He has failed to do the job and wasted millions of our hard earned money on his medical tourism. For what?

Just to cause chaos and confusion with his lies.

    Get out stup!d !D!ot

  15. He 1) Celebrated his birthday and was reported to be in high spirits
and in jovial mood 2) Pictures of him charring a meeting at state house where there
to be seen by the world 3) He went to see his Son at the Hospital 4) He was disembarking from the
chopper looking nothing like someone who is ill

    Those above are FACTS

The accusation , I repeat accusations are all ‘mere façade’ , illusions, accusations, witch-hunts mostly
    Emanating from UPND supporters.

Why the government is not arresting anyone that accuses his Majesty of being sick is beyond me.
Please stop, just stop, you disgust me and the world

    Thanks

  16. the president of Zambian a mr mc sata was elected in to office by will of Zambians with the expectation that the man of action will deliver on the promises he promised Zambians during campaigning period. Zambians were expecting sata to tickle some of the following issues as listed below.
1 give clear road map on how to govern this great nation. 2 there must be interaction between sata and Zambian people on many issues affecting our great nation through press conference as it suppose to be, even obama does it when need a raises.
3 to listen to the demands of people. and many others national issues which are important.

  17. ..this now looking like a requiem. Hardly a day passes without hearing such. It is sounding like we are in the Cathedral with a coffin in front listening to various speakers talk about the deceased. Ofcourse u don’t expect anyone to pop out of the coffin and say something.
Seems Mrs Grillo has very little to do at her office. Why is she mocking the president?..not long ago she as in was in the media castigating MCS…she said.. ‘it is shameful for MCS to shelve the draft constitution after spending so much tax payer’s money..’..now she can afford to say….’she loves, cherish and miss him..’?
Enough has been said about MSC status quo already. We are better off keeping quiet and let the situation unfold by itself…positive or negative we are mentally and emotionally prepared

  18. WHEREAS IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE PRESIDENT IS SEEN IN PUBLIC, THE MOTIVES OF THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR HIM TO APPEAR IN PUBLIC SEEM TO BE ILL-CONCEIVED. THEY WANT HIM TO APPEAR IN PUBLIC SO THAT THEY CAN START LAUGHING AT HIM AND HIS STATE. INFACT SOME WILL STILL DOUBT AND SAY HE IS NOT THE ONE, HE IS A MASQUARED. OTHERS HAVE ALREADY DECLARED HIM DEAD.

    • @Chola mwana,
Your waffle just underlines the problem with your ‘presido’, instead of swearing-in he ‘has just finished sworning in’ according to you. The mystery deepens.

  19. The continued speculation on the health and whereabouts of president Sata is nothing but a reflection of what we are as Zambians. In a serious country you cannot have such nonsense. Are we as Zambians agreed that what is going on is right? Why have we allowed ourselves to be manipulated by selfish individuals? Do you think with such mediocrity and lack of seriousness our country can develop? We have to be serious to achieve anything. The president is not available and everybody thinks it is alright. What kind of people are we to allow such high levels of stup.idity to prevail? Why have allowed the PF to treat us as if we have no stake in Zambia? For how long are we going to condone this nonsense? Why have we all chosen to keep quiet and do nothing? Is this what we want? Why are we like thi
