Ten man Nkana flop against Napsa

Share

Napsa Stars beat ten man Nkana 2-0 to dispatch the homeside to their third successive home loss in the FAZ Super Division this season.

The defeat comes just seven days before Nkana host their Egyptian nemesis Al Ahly in a 2014 CAF Confederation Cup Group B match at the same venue.

Furthermore Saturdays results came in the wake of Nkana’s resounding 4-3 win over Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia at the same venue in a Group B tie on July 26.

Meanwhile, Napsa took the lead in Kitwe through Donwell Yobe in the 11th minute.

Ten minutes later, Nkana suffered another setback when captain Donashano Malama was sent off.

Malama was shown a straight red card after a crude tackle on Napsa’s Cote d’Ivoire born midfielder Jean Paul Semaho.

Napsa cemented the three points two minutes later through Martin Phiri .

Nkana are still winless at home in the league since their 3-1 win over Konkola Mine Police on July 5.

Since then, Nkana have suffered league defeats in Kitwe to Zesco United 1-0, Green Eagles 3-2 before Napsa added to the misery this weekend.
