Zanaco open 12-point gap over Nkana

Ten-men Zanaco beat Konkola Blades 2-0 to maintain their four point lead over second placed Zesco United at the summit of the FAZ Super Division table.

Zanaco are now also twelve points ahead of defending champions Nkana after 18 games played on 42 and 30 points respectively.

Zanaco took a 1-0 halftime lead after Willie Likolo headed-in a Roderick Kabwe free kick in the 15th minute.

Mathews Macha scored the final goal in the 61st minutes when he delivered a long-range free kick that beat Elliot Phiri.

However, Zanaco were reduced to ten men in the 87th minute when Lee Ngoma was sent off after tackling Tapson Kaseba.

  1. Nkana is winning all the remaining games to defend the league title. LT check your facts I think Nkana has got a game in hand. Games played should show 17 due to last week CAF game against Etoile. I stand to be corrected. VIVA KALAMPA

  2. LT You need to re up date that league table, check facts before posting Nkana F.C and Konkola both have games in hand, moreover Nkana is on 29 points not that 30 and blades is on 23 not 24 when did they play the game? and who says it was a draw as your stats are showing….this is misleading
