Women from the opposition UPND have made a passionate appeal to First Lady Dr Christine Kaseba to allow President Sata to rest.

UPND National Women Affairs Chairperson Namakau Kabwiku said Dr Kaseba should use her medical experience and plead with her husband to step down and safeguard his life.

In an interview, Mrs Kabwiku said no one needs to be a medical doctor to see that President Sata’s health has deteriorated over the last three years.

“What we would like to advice our sister is that she should protect the health of her dear husband by allowing him to step down. Life is more important than power and the First Lady is a doctor who should come in and tell her husband to rest,” Mrs Kabwiku said.

She said President Sata’s failure to venture out in public is a clear sign that all is not well.

“We can’t see our President. ZNBC is just showing us still photos but we want to see a fit President in State House. If the current occupant is not fit then he should step down and rest,” she said.

  1. UPND women can’t you see Dr.Kaseba is having the time of her life as first lady.Free trips abroad, nice clothes…she is smiling all the way to the bank. You can’t expect her to just sit beside her sick husband when theres a world out there to explore for Free.

    • Why is HH using these women o come up with this

It would be naive to think this is not the work of HH
      The man is a disgrace!

      Thanks

    • Every educated Zambian knows the president is sick and if Zambia had a proper constitution, a medical review would have been conducted to ascertain if he is fit enough to run the country.Alas we have a stone age constitution which concentrates power in the hands of few.Our judiciary head is a relative of the president who is enjoying her salary and will not do anything. Our Speaker and Deputy speaker are equally incompetent. As for cabinet even the President himself acknowledged how useless they are. So wise women are asking Kaseba to love her husband beyond power and let him step down. Why should the whole country suffer? We already lost Levy Mwanawasa, we are tired of losing sitting presidents.

    • In the grand scheme of things, it matters not whether this is HH’s work. The fact is that we have a so called leader who is not offering any inspiration.

For those who continue supporting his (Sata) actions, I liken your mentality to the colonial era where you could not challenge wrongdoings and everything was acceptable!

    • Was there not a promise from UPND in particular HH that they will not discuss or comment on the Head of state’s health.

I would advise UPND to please leave the sleeping dogs lie.

    • Under 5 women whose dreams and aspirations are based on Sata`s death or resignation.Just go and campaign bana makwenkwe imwe.Ofyo abalume benu bafyaila amawule, insted yakwipika mwaya mukubwata ifyabushilu.

    • In fact the winner out of Ukwa years of lies, deceit, womanising is Dr Kasebo. Let her have a nice time while the monkey dies

    • You all Up & Down women are m.a.g.g.o.t.s being used by Haleisa Halepitilila. Even if SATA steps down don’t think you’re close to plot one you m.i.n.i.e.n.t.s, go to hell

    • These women have been sent by a Freemason, do not entertain them. They are demons sent to finish him off like they did to Mazoka.

    • Nowthis is really testing the woman – does she really love her husband or will she prove the bemba saying: “Ichi kupempula, ichi kulya !!” – We are watching!!!

    • STEP DOWN? ARE YOU CRAZY, WOMEN. WHAT DO YOU MEAN STEP DOWN? YOU MEAN YOU DON’T FALL ILL IN YOUR LIVES SINCE YOU WERE BORN? YOU WOMEN YOU MUST BE VERY MAD. WE STILL NEED SATA’S WISDOM AND RESULTS-ORIENTATION THINKING AND ACTIONS. KABIYENI FYE KUMA TO…LET, NGA NAMUPAMFIWA.

  2. UPND women wants Dr Kaseba to rest The President then hold elections, its very clear you are not intrested in the well being of the nation but just elections that bring you to power.Elections can go either way lets all wait for 2016 and please concentrate on salling your manifesto instead of wasting you time with your unwarrented wishes.I am sure the PF has enough advisers in such fields..

  3. Is that the reason your HH is resting Bana HH (Muntinta) in the kitchen coz of she is sick??…Let ka under 5 release his wife to the public then Kaseba will rest Sata..

  4. And if Sata died (God forbid!!) because of pressure of work on his poor health, then we would see Kaseba crying and weeping on top of her voice, wondering and complaining why her hubby had to go like that….

    • What God forbid? He is dying sooner than you think. That would be good riddance and a gift to Zambians as they celebrate 50 years of political freedom while still in economic slavery.

    • Maureen did not cry,she was busy powdering when the plane landed with her husband in Cargo,so it wont surprise us if Kaseba does not cry.

    • Others were evening studying for an ‘MBA’ when hubby lay dead and transferring money from point A to B and then writing eulogies ‘what man was this who left a will for the whole of Zambia’. What manner of women are these? Lesa help

  5. But you are saying that he should step down in the same breath with you being not sure if he is fine or not because ZNBC only shows still photos, why contradict yourselves ? Why making statements based on assumptions ? Poor women.Shame

  6. But this UPND is so childish guys. How many times have they going to sing the same song of Sata is sick, Sata can not come out of state house, Sata should rest so we have fresh elections, Sata is frangible, Sata is dead and his sons have been called from school, Sata is , Sata that…. Atase bane. We are tired of your insipid insinuations about Sata. Just tell people what you are going to do to better their lives..kwasila.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  7. The President will complete the first term and second term of office. We shall the change the constitution to give him a third term. Those who are wishing him dead keep dreaming!!

  8. MISPLACED IMAGINATION – UPND think that any Presidential election to b held, there are in State House; but one thing they deliberately & blasphemously forget is that in 2011 they were DISTANT third, this Country could take them seriously if they were humble and in the position of MMD

    • It never hurts to dream just like Sata dreamt for over 20 years to go to number one or indeed Chiluba, or Dean, Nervous, Miyanda, Nawakwi and now HH or even Elias Chipimo or Charles Milupi……its begins with a dream or if you like a ‘misplaced imagination’ but one never knows. Am sure if Miyanda got his act together and stopped appearing only during elections he would sale a tale….Charles maybe, Elias has not marketed himself being elitist……..so that leaves the General who will bring discipline in the nation.

  9. UP and DOWN are so desperate for power and that’s deceit……In Choma they beat up innocent PF women in Batoka after sensing that they are losing the seat to PF.They have started using violence because they think they own us people of Southern Province.Thats how low they they can perceive issues these Chaps.

  10. It is bloody stupid and immoral to wish Sata dead. Those calling for Sata’s death will die earlier than him. Even if Sata may have wronged some people, we should adopt the spirit of forgiveness and love and that’s what I call Christianity. opposition should just wait for there time and accept that there will be only one president at a time. Everything has got its appointed time. PF may have done some errors here and there but lets not run away from the fact that there effort to improve the Zambian infrastructure especially Roads has been massive

  11. We have never seen HH’s wife. Who is she and how smart is she? How educated is she? Kanshi who is she? Please someone show us a pic of this woman

    • You have just shown us how illiterate you are just google and you will see Mutinta, why should she be in the limelight when her husband is just an aspiring candidate. She is too comfortable to samwa with government money like some of your First Ladies have been.

    • I think in a presidential system, First Lady is a very important role. We knew about Michelle Obama before her husband became president. So it is not about money, Bwana Nkembo, but support for your spouse. Obviously she shouldn’t be overzealous like some but we would like to see her from time to time.

  12. I honestly pity those people who are misplaced in their head especially UPND. Even if it is time for Sata to die they will never to get to plot one. PF is still a credible party. Let them come up with strategies which will convince people to vote for them in 2016 otherwise they will cry like south African opposition parties because it will a landslide victory. Iam not PF but I have seen what PF is doing to improve this country. UPND was making disparaging remarks like (People cant eat roads). Honestly this is total insanity. Which investor can invest in the bush where there are no roads? universities have now been added, what more does people want? Honestly abantu bamo ala FIKOPO

  13. UPND women, you have tried everything and nothing seems to work for you tefyo? Bane, just campaign countrywide than your stu.pi.d assertions. You cow dung smelly mabisi women.

  14. Its so obvious that HH is behind the women’s skirts. Its him again but because he has trapped himself by vowing not to speak about Mr. sata’s illness, he is itching and is now using women.

This is very shameful. Please let’s just relax. Everything has an end but don”t force the end before its time. Be patient.

  15. ati,UPND will not get into state house, are you a god to decide. some of you pf bloggers are so much used to mediocre leadership that you are providing.things can be better bane.Try HH and smell the difference.

  16. UNPD is appealing to their sister with values of looking after a sick husband.
In any case there has never been any Bemba wife/woman as first lady in the history of Zambia. This appeal is appropriate to Dr Kaseba, that explains her jovial mood, dancing and looking good. Pity Bemba ladies appear not suitable as first ladies, next will be Charlotte Scott.

  17. Who are these women? In what capacity are they making the appeal to the first lady? They should instead persuade HH to take a rest from hallucination. It is a serious brain complication which does not require exposure to the sane public.

  18. How do they know Christine hasn’t talked to Sata? Maybe she has tried to persuade him and failed. Sata has earned the tag chumbu munshololwa because he is uncompromisingly obstinate.

  19. These women r doing their GOOD WILL to their fellow lady Kaseba.
Let Sata COME OUT and tell us tht he is not ok, as UPND our concentration is to win 2016 ELECTIONS against PF nothing else. We know PRESIDENTIAL BYE-ELECTIONS are not neccesary. For the Two yrs remaining let Sata finish them.

  20. Kaseba is a seasoned Doctor, she has enough knowledge to make right decisions
for herself and Family. And even if she needed advice, she would not get it from such pipo whose talk is so deceptive.

  21. Mushota desperate tmes cals for desperate measures, thers one 1 man who is wlling to do anything to get to plot 1.nobuloshhi kuti abomfya.

  22. These are Chibuku women who leave their loafer husbands for hichilema’s breadcrumbs. shame upon these useless and shapeless women fya
