A CLOUD of uncertainty still surrounds the fate of a Pentecostal bishop in Kitwe who allegedly committed suicide after being slapped with sexual charges involving nine girls from his church.

Dominic Nyondo of Holy Fire Christian Ministry Church was on Monday around 23:00 hours believed to have thrown himself in the crocodile-infested Kafue River.

But Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Joyce Kasosa said yesterday it was yet to be established whether Bishop Nyondo had truly committed suicide or had just run away.

Ms Kasosa said this was so because the body of the bishop had not been traced anywhere to serve as testimony that he had really committed suicide.

“We have not found anything yet but we are still investigating to establish whether Bishop Nyondo committed suicide by throwing himself in the river or he just ran away,” Ms Kasosa said.

Kitwe City Council spokesperson Dorothy Sampa said the council fire department had not received any report on a person throwing himself in the Kafue River and as such, she had nothing to say.

  1. Did you say “crocodile infested river”? Then the body can’t be found because it was eaten up by crocs!!! Welcome to Zambia, the real Africa.

    • Who is this man smiling in the picture above of this article? He looks like a PF thug cadre police.

    • We are reaping the fruits of diluting the moral standards of our society. It’s wrong to allow a culture in which every Jim and Jack wakes up the next day and form a church at every corner. These businesses disguised as churches relegating religion to just another social club, and all that people do there is CHILLING and DATING. Who regulates these things kanshi mwebantu ?

Coming on the sense and pinpointing a minuscule error by my high
Standards is unforgiveable by you, but clearly it is an error you do
not expect me to make, and I commend you for upholding my undisputable
high standards, being the pinnacle and messiah of the L times contributors
      Thank you.

Would you care to talk about what father Bwalya is insinuating at, and hopefully
Condemn him with the utmost contempt he deserves?

      I am impatiently waiting

      Thanks

    • Nobody saw him throwing himself in the river. I said it the very day the story broke that this guy was planning on “resurrecting.” What better way to get more money from his congregation than telling them “Satan made me jump in the crocodile infested river. As 100 crocodiles where about to feed on me, I saw a huge light and Jesus appeared and said go forth and testify. The God, your Lord has forgiven your sins. FIIIIRRRRE!” Now ba usher pass the plates for offering!

  2. The “Bishop” has just duped the system. He is probably hiding in some village somewhere in Congo. This was a calculated move that he carried out to ensure that Police or indeed the general public would not be on the lookout as he flees. I wonder why the Police would make an announcement that the dude had committed suicide without concrete evidence. A mere suicide note isn’t enough evidence to conclude that someone has committed suicide. We have been duped

  3. Someone should have heard him scream after the first few bites from the crocs. Who wouldn’t shout for help when their body is wedged in the crocs mouth?.

  4. Maybe abena Charlie Kays can also follow suit and save us from all these hide and seek games he is playing with us.

  5. The only proof we need is, did anyone really see him throwing himself in the crocodile infested river or not. If someone saw that, I bet there is no need to look for the body as the crocodiles already feasted on it. Finding the body is wishful thinking!

  6. Since he is “man of god’ the croc will swalo him and take him to ninive like Jona. Except ninive for him is mukobeko prison.

  7. Did he not have sureties who signed the bail or bond? If so, arrest them and they will tell the truth. Anyone can tell that he just schemed the suicide. Imagine a person who can dupe people into stripping and telling them that demons will leave them once he sleeps with them. He is a conman and therefore we justice for those people he defiled.

  8. Sambia the real Africa indeed. This mbuya pastor should be Ku- MIYOMBE,where three countries share borders.he will now choose either to be a Tanzanian or Umwina Malawi.

  9. So I was also duped into believing Nyondo had commited suicide and I wished him eternal torment in hell. I think the report was rushed without verifying. This news just points to the fact that Satanist Nyondo is still alive. He has just bolted. There should be thorough investigation to establish his whereabouts. Zambia Police and Zawa should work hand in hand to arrive at the truth.

  10. pastor Nyondo is not a real Christianity because of his defilement cases. And am not con viced he was thrown in the kafue river

  11. ZAWA can help.Does a crocs eat a human head? The crocs should be examined to find out if they are full or hungry & any trace of hunger will mean the “Bishop” is alive somewhere.

  12. This Man did not commit suicide, he just ran away stop looking for him in the Kafue river. This is a wicked Man he will go somewhere lay low for sometime then he will start all over. Question his close relatives they will crack. Or put a ransom on his head.

  13. The Bishop knew that if he just ran away, they would hunt him. The best he did was to keep policemen looking for him in the river while he was on the run to DRC. By the time the police came to realise he had duped them, he was already in the DRC.

By way the crodiles where I come from do not eat sinners like this Bishop. Even if he jumped into the river whilst they are hungry, they would just look at him because they would not like him to use them as an escape to face his sins.

Secondly even if they ate him, they would normally live a scar of his head as evidence that they ate him.

Finally, how did the police come to know that the man committed suicide by jumping into the river. Who saw this bishop jump into the river and reported to the police?

  14. who witnessed the guy throwing himself .he just duped u so that u don’t look for him in the streets. as u search in that river the guy is fast approaching zanzibar islands
