Different women organizations under the umbrella of Non-Governmental Organizations Coordinating Council (NGOCC) stormed the Lusaka Magistrate Court to protest against the Games Stores Manager Vincent Palan who was scheduled to appear in court for allegedly sexually harassing his two female workers.

Mr Palan who was arrested and charged for sexual harassment of his female employees appeared at the magistrate court but his case failed to take off because the docket was not in court.

The women groups who gathered at the main gate entrance displayed placards demanding for an end to sexual harassment against women and immediate deportation of Vincent Palan.

And Kwasha Mukwenu Women Group Chairperson Dorika Phiri said the law should take its course over the sexual harassment offenses levelled against Palan because women were suffering at the hands of their male superiors in working places.

Ms Phiri said it was not fair that women including young girls continued to be sexually abused by men without any recourse from the law.

She has also called for the deportation of Palan saying government should ensure that he goes back to his country.

“We want this man to go and government should see to it that he is deported,” she said.

Two Game Stores female employees Mukamuluti Mwila and Nasutu Munalula have accused Palan of sexual harassment in separate incidents where he touched them in inappropriate manner and verbally abused them after they refused to have sexual intercourse with him.

One of the workers Nasutu Munalula accused him of squeezing her buttocks and attempted to tear her underwear in an effort to touch her private parts.

  1. This man should first be jailed and after serving a jail sentence then deported, otherwise deportation along will not serve enough punishment. And about his boasting of connections makes sad reading and this is now so common with foreigners in Zambia. Please our Leaders stop this stupid connection

    • His case failed to take place because the docket was not in court.Smh
The corrupt judges at it again. How much has Palan the peodophile given the Police and the Judge?

  2. I guess this isn’t the first time that Mr. Palan has done that to his subordinates,, some ladies have just buried everything that happened to them for fear of losing their jobs,, Guess some were promised of heaven of earth,,,I echo the demands for his deportation”’ taking advantage of the poverty levels in Zambia”” made him think as if our ladies were like toys one can play wit at any given time!!!

Why not demand for His Castration also lol jst an opinon..

  3. That is the right order – first jail, then Deportation otherwise it makes no sense! The zambian predator in the states will serve and then walk the walk…let him taste “Chimbokaila eleven-ndu”, he will be forever healed !!

  4. Which judge can convict this man because there is not witness let alone evidence. The women folk on the other hand should not dress in a manner to seduce men.

  5. Utterly shameful for these women to call for his deportation when the matter is before the courts. You deport him so that he goes back to South Africa, enjoy gin and tonic and continue to abuse more women there? Jail the character first, take him to Mwinilunga prison. Shaaa!!

  6. People calling for the deportation of that despicable, filthy and nincompoop of a shameless human being working for game stores are missing something. Let him face the full wrath of the same laws applicable to Zambians who are found in similar situations so that if need be and assuming ,is found guilty he must be incarcerated and upon completion of his sentence, he can then be deported. lets not apply the animal farm of “two legs good, four legs bad”.This would send a very serious warning to other would be offenders. Am even disappointed with Zambia Police on how swift they were in granting him bond coz the ***** is a flight risk. Doesnt the disappearance of the 3 nationals of Czech republic ring a bell to any would be authority coz these guys are still on the run after granting them…

  7. …no one condones harassment of women, but let us approach this case with civility. There is no need to be complainants and the jury at the same time. Let the due process of the law conclude this case. If found guilty, he has to serve time, if found not guilty just on the basis of suspicion depot the bagger…

    • I agree with you. The man ha been charged already, so what do these pressure groups want? Let the man stand trial and be convicted on the basis of evidence. He also has to be heard. Justice goes both ways. If convicted, he will serve his time for his sins. The world is watching, you don’t want to sent a precendent where one is accussed and found guilt before he even appears in court. We can not assume and pretend that some women can take advantage of the situation and just start point figures at men and ruin their lives knowing every woman will scream to sack and lock up the accussed. No one condones sexual harrassment be it from men or women.

    • I am with you scrutinizer. The man is innocent until proven guilty. By the way some of us on this blog have committed more heinious sins against both sexes and therefore have no right mouthing it off here.

  8. Palan must be deported than waste the police and courts time trying to prove the allegations. This is a case that is difficult to prove in the absence of witnesses to confirm what they saw. A classic case of your word against mine. Furthermore, could all women who have experienced sexual harassment at places of works or elsewhere to come forward. I believe Palan is not the only one who has been doing this. This is a common problem at many places in Zambia. There are many Zambian men who are guilty of sexually harassing females workers.

  9. First he should face due process, jailed if guilty, and then of course, deported. He should first experience the Zambian prison fraternity. I suppose those already incarcerated are waiting to fondle his BUMS soon as he is indoors!

  10. @ Jesus.
There’s evidence enough. The women themselves. Ever heard of the convictions in Britain of major figures in a variety of disciplines for sex offences committed a long time ago? The only pieces of evidence were the victims’ oral submissions! One distinct example was of Saville of ( ‘ Jimmiy Will Fix It’ fame ).

  11. That is street justice. Civilised justice calls for a trial. The pressure groups should be asking for a conviction not deportation

  12. This guy Palan is just an unlucky Man or it is Plot being hatchet against him! by the way this the first time to hear Zambian girls resisting a quick fix for quick promotion and bucks!

  13. The intelligence/detectives need to cooperate with their counter parts in South Africa. This man has a trail of the same thing he is doing there in Zambia.

  14. Stupid womens -groups a man lost his man hold in chongwe & they all kelp quite and now some bitch comes up with some fake story ………………& they show up. shame on you.i believe NGO mean( nothing going on!)

  15. Let the courts decide, they will examine all evidence and all character witnesses should make themselves availble, a suggestion to the the state lawyer please do a background check on Palan find out if he ever had a similar case in the past in South Africa or the other countries he has worked in, Interpol desk at Lusaka Police HQ will have that information in less than 24 hours, if records show that he did then the state will win the case as it’ll be a proved beyond resonable doubt he has this habit and character witnesses will seal his fate. Now if found guilty let him face a custodial sentence right here, on completion then he should be declared persona non grata and kicked out of Zambia for good. Other foreign workers like him should also be scrutinised as there are too many doing…

  16. Ctn..too many foreigners and Zambians alike are doing the same to our ladies. Now on the otherside the court should be open minded even though it seems unlikely there is a possiblity that Palan was merely flirting and never touched these ladies without their consent and so let these ladies also be subjected to scrutiny, what is their background have they ever had similar complaints made about other men, do the ladies themselves have criminal records or ever had issues before the law, what do character witnesses say about the ladies, let it be a balanced process.

  17. this looks like a trumped excuse…its she who wanted him and he refused chigololo..
with her, so she framed him…cage the bitch instead?.

  18. ONLY 2 GIRLS AND HE NEEDS TO BE DEPORTED??? PLEASE HOW MANY GIRLS HAVE U HAMMERED AS A BOSS IN YOUR COMPANY, TELL ME BE HONEST??

    • Another criminal from South Africa (already accused down there of raping a Game employee) hiding out in Zambia. Prison first, then OUT.

  19. Granted !! Men should not feel they can abuse women in any way, shape or form and get away with it but I can almost certainly say that the women were in on it. This may just be a malicious payback for reasons only know to the parties involved. I am a Zambian woman myself with morals and a conscience. Sadly, that can’t be said for a lot of both men & women. There has been an embarassing and drastic decline in morals in zambia and women throw themselves at men especially foreigners for the most trivial of things. Scrutinise these women and you will find that this is as a result of what they couldn’t get and thought of a wicked way of bringing down the poor man.
