Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba says he has no idea about Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda’s insinuations that there are some leaders in the ruling party that are positioning themselves for republican presidency despite there being no vacancy.
Mr. Chikwanda has been recently quoted suggesting that it is these leaders who are positioning themselves that have also launched a media campaign against him over his alleged dealings with mining companies.
But Mr. Kabimba, who is also Justice Minister, has told Qfm news in a brief telephone interview that as far as the party is concerned there is no such thing of some leaders positioning themselves for presidency.
He says this is why questions that are being referred to him as party Chief Executive Officer to confirm or dispute Mr. Chikwanda’s insinuations should be instead directed to the Finance Minister himself.
Mr. Kabimba says this is because he is not the one that has made the insinuations.
He is right.There is no such thing in PF because our president is still alive and fit.No need for positioning.

Ba Sata once told that there no one should write about any senior PF member without himself Sata or Kabimba’s consent. This simply means that Kabimba is doing his own thing without Sata knowing.

First to be eliminated from cabinet was Given Lubinda, next was GBM, seems Chikwanda will be the next after which it will be Kambwili. And then Kabimba expecting to take over easily will be surprised that His Excellency will bring in a new person altogether in the name of Mutati to lead PF for future presidential elections (2016 or 2021).
He should have learnt from how Sata was dribbled by Chiluba after eliminating all potential opposition. And for me that would be the most logical thing to do as I feel there is no presidential material in PF beyond Sata. None of those mentioned above seem to have the charisma that Sata had as opposition president.

it is hard to imagine that just by this one bye election in Mangango people s opinion on this site has already shifted to perceiving Wynter and PF as the future. They have forgotten all the bad things PF has done and continues to do. They also forget that the Nkoyas in Mangango are ant Balozi cessation and they are looking for somebody to help them fight that battle. They even forget that PF has been using them in that regard.

Currently, the PF is experiencing mini- tremors. The chasm between the Kabimba-Scott camp and the Chikwanda-Kambwili camp is widening in leaps and bounds. There is no smoke without fire. Chikwanda is just trying to bring confusion because he know he is guilty of double dealing. If there is such a scheme, why didnt he expose it before he was acussed of ating with 2 hands? Chikwanda was simply deflecting attention from his VAT refund debacle and the alleged double dealing with the mines. His comments about people positioning fo Presidency should be taken with an EXTRA large pinch of SALT! This ought not to be an issue BUT rather sustained pressure on Chikwanda and his dealing/”soft spot”for the mines

All ministers in PF Government have companies operating in Zambia and as some one said the law forbids for these companies to deal with government without declaring interest but dealing with private companies its allowed what is the fuss with Chikwanda companies working or getting contracts with private sector. Really, Chikwanda should tell the nation the truth about the allegation and shame the devil. The rest are his political battles. We are not interested.
Let him just defend whether the allegation are true or false. If he proves right, we will support him full stop. But as things stand, he is still being doubted until he proves innocent.
His friend Kabimba cases were before investigation by ACC and the man never cried foul. What ever the outcome he defended himself and never pointed at any one as political. His girl friend Silver had the same done to her.
