Former Finance Minister Katele Kalumba has called on Patriotic Front (PF) members with ambitions of becoming the country’s republican President to hold on to their aims for the right time.

Dr. Kalumba’s counsel follows revelations by Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda that there are some PF leaders who have begun positioning themselves for presidency despite there being no vacancy in the country.

Speaking to Qfm news in a telephone interview Dr. Kalumba says politicians whether from the ruling party or the opposition should be reminded that they have a singular obligation to create stability and confidence in the governance of the country.

Dr. Kalumba says this confidence is required at the country’s national security, economical, political, social and cultural levels.

He says this is why it is important to always manage information intelligently on the Head of State to avoid creating troubling anxieties in the minds of the people.

The former Finance Minister says it of this reason he thinks that creating an impression that there is a vacuum in the country’s presidency by people who are alleged to have started positioning themselves for the presidency boarders on creating insecurity in the country.

He says PF member who have aims of becoming republican president should therefore wait for the time that the ruling party goes for a convention.

  1. Why are we suddenly expected to listen to a guy who has the potential to disappear before your very own eyes when there is trouble in his way. Is it actually him in the image above or it’s just an illusion? If it’s him where has he sprung from.

  2. In what capacity is this wizard giving advice? Is he saying that he has received
a message via his TV? Fimo ala mule tala mwa lekela abene ba bufi

  3. Ths man reminds of the a “Village Computer” the phrase coined by mai Guy Scot to refer to Katele Kalumba. It was after the man used Juju to run away frm the Police.
I miss those days whn Lubinda and Guy were active in Parley

    • Robin my bro I have no hatred for Kabimba. I’m his fan. This was just my android. It didn’t have Kalumba in its memory so it “corrected” me and I didn’t notice.

  4. Lets focus on what is said not who said it. After all we all have skeletons. eg HH is associated to thieving but we listen to him

  5. Mr kalumba should not blame those lining up for the seemingly or imaginaly Or likely vacancy, but the blame should be put squarely on the position holder himself whose inactiveness is making his position vacant, people can’t see him and can’t hear him,let him prove his availability and presence,we must hear from him not about him,if things are not ok let the people be told the status quo or the real situation at hand.its only mr mcs himself who is causing all this and his handlers who seem not to know what to do as they seem to have now run out of ideas of time buying as all lies known and unknown have been exhalsted.its now time for the truth to be told and all will be Set free and settled.those aspiring for this seemingly vacant position have the right to do so as they might be…

  6. A silent Sata is far much better than a loud Sata.I am personally enjoying his absence and can’t miss his uncouth nature.

  7. What gud can come from this jujuman? He has failed chiengi district and the rest of other institutions. Being a jujuman he apears 2b the dc,op,police in charge, zesco manager, headteacher in chiengi and workers ar living in fear including several trs. This man has a rotten and evil personality that wil continue keeping chiengi in a backward status. beliv or not bt this is an indisputable fact.

  8. Be serious with your comments , if you don’t have any thing tangible to tell the world you better keep quiet , what katele is saying is very important to the well being of this nation . fighting with in the party in power can put this country on fire . after all Katele has been in leadership before than you MAKAKAS WHO are just yapping, without getting real sense out of Kalumbas advise . you jockers no that Kabimba don’t well all what he wants is to take over from sata and these are reverations from Satas uncle but why should outsiders say it is a lie ? Zambians know very well that Kabimba is also a sick he can not become President of Zambia . God is watching

  9. It would be very irresponsible for the current leaders in PF not to position themselves to lead the party, clearly action speaks louder than words. Being a leader needs a game plan, you do not just get up in 2016 at the convention to declare interest. The schemes for this bloodless coup were born at the inception of PF, it is natural progression. They can sniff the blood……..

Just ask; Dotty, Winter, GBM, Chikwanda, Kambwili, Nsanda,Sampa, Given they are all ‘BUSY’

  10. Chikwanda was simply deflecting attention from his VAT refund debacle and the alleged double dealing with the mines. His comments about people positioning fo Presidency should be taken with an EXTRA large pinch of SALT! This ought not to be an issue BUT rather sustained pressure on Chikwanda and his dealing/”soft spot”for the mines

  11. Ambitions, ambitions, ambitions… The million dollar question remains unanswered, Where is Sata and what is going on in his mind? Forget about Kalumba.

  12. u sabina chiweno yu are an ***** as yo name.Du u kno the damage this jujuman has caused in chiengi? Right now he is masquerading as chief putas spokesperson. He is using this position to scare heads of departments in the district. The uncouth bhaviour towards every developmental project in chiengi leaves much to be desired. Just shut up for u dont hv eyes and ears.

  13. Would be nice to have SATA quiet and not miss him but trouble is he still occupies the most important position and one Zambian is unemployed as a result. It will continue to hurt twice as much. That’s why we need to dig him out. The Americans would be handy here (they dug out Saddam). But they don’t care about us because we have no oil. American double standards. Has oil still not been discovered in Solwezi? We need a President. What wrong have we done not to deserve one. We voted in Action Man, this is not what we meant. This is actually the action equivalent to ‘inaction’ or remote Action. We need real action; to see a nurse fired on the spot for coming into work late or neglecting patients. We need a fly-over bridge constructed in days and each day SATA is there to monitor…
