The Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has disowned Die Hard Youth Wing leader, Bowman Lusambo, saying the former ruling party has no such wing in its constitutional structures.
MMD National Secretary, Muhabi Lungu, wondered why some sections of the media have continued quoting and referring to Mr Lusambo in what he called a wrong way of addressing him as Die Hard Youth Wing.
Mr Lungu stressed that whereas Mr Lusambo may be a member of the MMD, he does not have a position worth being quoted as a bona fide leader in the ranks of the MMD, adding that any coverage of his statements must be attributed either into his personal capacity or any other lawful organisation to which he belongs.
He said the Chairman of Youth and Child Development in the MMD is Muchinga Member of Parliament, Howard Kunda.
He noted that continuing to quote Mr Lusambo as Die Hard Youth Wing leader has a potential to create confusion and offend some of the party members and sympathisers.
“I want to state and stress that it is in the best interest of professional journalism to follow our advice as the contrary has the potential to create confusion and offend some of the party members and
sympathizers. You may please abide accordingly,” explained Mr Lungu.
The MMD, through its then Acting National Secretary, Chembe Nyangu, earlier in March this year wrote to all media houses to stop them from referring to Mr Bowman Lusambo as “MMD Die Hard Youth Wing” claiming that there was no such structure in MMD, stating that the much popularised
wing was an illegal rank.
Efforts to contact Mr Lusambo on the matter proved futile as his mobile number went unanswered.
Simply semantics. Please try to concentrate of matters that matter.
Good point Mr Lungu, but you should stop playing double standards…. don’t just condemn Mr Lusamba when he says something that is injurious to your party and pat him on the back when he insults HH.

MMD its a DIVIDED & FINISHED HOUSE about to go into oblivion. As somone has said , “we dont need to issue a Death Certificate” for people to kno tht MMD is Dead !.
Those that have followed issues in MMD from the time they were ousted from power can agree that if Nevers had not been elected President the party would have disappeared long time ago.
People like Lusambo played a big role in his election as President of MMD. Now that most of their battles engineered by Dora and her 5 muskateers are almost over and the crucial position of Secretary General has been filled by a serious, intelligent and loyal person in Muhabi Lungu, let them find a way to harness the energy around Lusambo and bring him into the rank and file of MMD . Muhabi Zambia depends on MMD for survival. UPND is just full of nothing but hot air as Mangango has proved.
That is a right decision Mr. Lungu this Chap Lusambo is a conman I dot know why someone who calls himself a man of God (NEVERS MUMBA) can be using such characters. You should also denounce RAPHAEL NAKACHINDA he is the one who was sending Lusambo to insult other senior NEC Members. NAKACHINDA send LUSAMBO to SOLWEZI in the name of NEVERS MUMBA to go and campaign for MULENGA SATA and they shared the money he was given for that program.
