Striker Collins Mbesuma is expected to be named in Zambia’s squad for the upcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Cape Verde.
Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza is yet to announce the squad that will take on Mozambique on 6th September in Ndola before facing Cape Verde away just after four days.
Mbesuma’s South African Club Mpumalanga Black Aces has confirmed that the player will be recalled to the Chipolopolo squad.
He last played for Zambia almost a year ago before he was hit by an injury a year ago.
“Black Aces powerful striker Collins Mbesuma has received a call up to the Zambia squad for the two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Cape Verde, which starts next month,” Black Aces said on their website.
“Since his arrival at Aces before the beginning of the season, Mbesuma has re-invented himself as a team player where he offers more than just scoring goals. The striker already has an assist in AmaZayoni colours and his work rate has been outstanding.”
This is very good for Mesuma. I must just appeal to him to maintain high levels of discipline because without it, one cannot get anywhere. I like the player and I would like him to play for the Chipolopolo once again. I look forward to his recall to the Zambia National Soccer Team. Please stay focussed.
