PF cadres take to the street to celebrate the firing of Wynter Kabimba

PATRIOTIC Front Secretary General, Wynter Kabimba and Eastern Province Interim Party Chairperson, Lameck Mangani, listen to questions from party members during a meeting at Luangwa House in Chipata
Wynter Kabimba (L)

Traffic in Lusaka’s Central Business District was yesterday disrupted as PF cadres took to the streets to celebrate the firing of Wynter Kabimba as Minister of Justice and PF Secretary General.

The cadres thronged the ruling the party’s Lusaka District office in the town centre where they celebrated Mr Kabimba’s sacking.

The jubilation was characterised by dancing, singing and honking along Freedom Way

And in Chipata, PF cadres have joined the celebrations saying the firing of Kabimba will bring sanity and order in the party.

The cadres have since appealed to President Sata to consider firing District Commissioners perceived to be Mr. Kabimba’s supporters.

Meanwhile, Grand Coalition for a People Driven Constitution has extended an olive branch to Just fired Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba to join them in the Campaign for the release of the constitution.

Speaking in an interview, Coalition Spokesperson McDonald Chipenzi said Mr. Kabimba who has now earned himself a ‘Doctorate’ in denying the people of Zambia a new Constitution will now see the need to demand for a people driven Constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi said Mr. Kabimba has also paid a price for not listening to people’s call for him to step down including some from his party.

He also said this gives good lesson to leaders that do not want to listen to what the people they are leading are saying.

Mr. Chipenzi who is also FODEP executive Director said the firing of Kabimba is not shocking.

He said as FODEP they advised Mr. Kabimba before to consider only having one position as having two positions like he did was so difficult.

Mr. Chipenzi is hopeful that the former Justice Minister will join the masses in calling for the release of the draft constitution.

And newly appointed PF Secretary General Edgar Lungu has said that his appointment as secretary general and Justice Minister has come as a surprise.

Mr Lungu said he had a meeting with President Sata in the morning and that the President had not mentioned anything on the appointment.

He said he would inform the nation on the plans he had for the party but that he would wait until he met the President before meeting the media.

    • I sympathise with Wynter but there are a lot of lessons to be learnt from the Wynter debacle. GIVE THE PEOPLE THAT WHICH THEY WANT FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF THE NATION. I hope PF have learnt some lessons from this, especially that it is happening from one of their own, i.e. if he is still theirs.
We hope that the government will now listen to the cries of the people for a new constitution.
Otherwise, good riddance. Go well Winter and we welcome Summer.

    • kekkekekeekek! wynter is ebola… (please cage him),,, but ba chipata,, awe shuwa,,
I remember friend Nostradamus once told me that wynter Kabimba was the most hated minister in Zambia,,, i did believe him.. lelo naimwena,,,

    • hmmm, edgar lungu ati he met the president in the morning and later in the day he is justice minister and PF SG and the president didnt mention anything to him earlier??? Am shocked that he is shocked!!! It just doesnt add up!!!

    • Nonsensical

Terrible error of judgement by MS

Funny no one is now talking about the president bring sick. You don’t fire someone
      If you are incapacitated.

I hope that is the end that one
      Thanks.

    • @Ndobo, thank you for remembering that. You know when I was one of the people to identify that “Kabimba na pena”, I was almost stabbed here, even that now my friend called @Wanzelu, he joined women in calling me “Chi-color”. But today, even the lady called @Ex-moma text me to offer me a Friday overnight. What a long weekend gonna be.

    • I will now devote my remaining life to fighting Bemba tribalism and enactment of a people driven constitution for the benefit of the masses. Thank you.

    • The sacking of Kabimba serves him well. He was the architect of a ruthless system of police and judicial brutality which demonised and brutalised many innocent Zambians with impunity. He was busy intimidating judges in courts and threatening ECZ officials. He let the DEC and PF police dogs into innocent people ‘s homes to plant seditious material to secure fake charges against them and have them locked up.
Kabimba had become the chief government terrorist who took advantage of the Sata ‘s illness. He often lied that he had Sata ‘s blessing when in fact Sata would agree to his evil motives in a delirious State.

What has befallen Kabimba is good because he will now suffer under the brutal regime he himself created and nurtured.

Chaona mzako mawa chili pali iwe – Sata’s words

    • This a good lesson to be learn’t by all political operators that, never create a system in government meant to brutalise your opponents with impunity, because one day you will also be its victim.

When they said ” treat others as you would expect them to treat you” they gave us long lasting advice which we need to adhere to when in corridors of powers, because you just never know when you fall from power.

Kabimba is now a victim of his own injustice. Azanya mange. DEC and ACC will now visit this bustard to probe his illegal dealings. Even if he says Sata knew about his dodgy business dealings people will not believe a word he says.

Any attempt by Mmembe to tarnish Sata ‘s name will fail.

I told you Wynter Sata is master dribbler.

    • So Kabimba got the news at a rally?! Wow!!! And this is the guy who worked so hard for Sata to be elected.

Even when Kabimba new very well Sata`s level of tribalism Kabimba still thought Sata would make him successor. Very stupid–Kabimba!

    • The book entitled ” The Prince” by Niccolo Marchiavelli is responsible for Kabimba ‘s down fall. This book needs to read carefully and then adapted to modern times for one to benefit from its strategic teachings. There are good strategies you can rely upon to ward off your political enemies, but unfortunately, if you are as dull Kabimba, those strategies would lead to your demise quickly.

To succeed using the Marchiavellian strategy, you need to pick suitable strategies and modify them to suit our current political climate.

Marchiavellian strategies work very well when you are an officer in he battle field but they need an intelligent mind to be applied in modern day politics.

So if you want to use Marchiavellian strategy in politics be careful and use your brains power…

    • Wynter’s firing is no surprise.

The guy was overly ambitious, cheeky, divisive and strangely disregarded the fact that the Zambian intelligence services were always wherever he went and made reports of their findings on him to the President Sata.

On the other hand, this does not signal the end of his political career as he can get up, dust himself off and move on politically.

    • I read over 60 comments on Wynter’s firing, am shocked to see that UPND chaps keep praising their leader when this has nothing to do with him…also the other disturbing thing is that these same UPND chaps kept on saying that MCS would not fire Kabimba, now that MCS has done the opposite why cant you all concede defeat – MCS has outclassed of you. Take a bow…VIVA MCS VIVA PF, VIVA Chikwanda and Co.

    • I remember writing in this blog that Mr (then Hon.) Kabimba’s actions and language were embarrassing the President and well-meaning members of the party just like Kudos and Gen. are annoying relatives, friends and tribesmen of HH to an extent that they find it difficult to vote for PF even when PF were doing good things. Remember, hate begets hate. HH is such a humble individual and to demonise and debase him the way these two individuals do just injures the feelings of many Zambians, whether in opposition or PF. It is just not right to say such things about a person just to decampaign him. What do we know about these two individuals? Nothing except that they sound like callous thugs who are heartless. Is this agreeable to PF? By no means, No. At least not Hon. Lungu’s PF. I have spoken.

    • Wynter may have his weaknesses just like any other human being but let’s not forget the good he did. The man sacrificed his time, energy and resources to structure PF and his works are evident. Secretary Generals Position has always attracted hate not just in PF but even in other parties and Edgar must be ready for this.
Now realistically, I don’t the President is in a position to fire anybody because I’m convinced his incapacited. Sata has never been somebody who loves hibernating so there is a serious reason why he has been doing this. I can sure you that somebody’s fingers will be burnt over this dismissal.

    • In this country we do not like people who are straight, politicians who exact the point, who tell it the why it is. It’s because of the nature of begging that we have adopted, we are property of those politicians who are rich, it’s such a dogma that brings real politicians like Kabimba is down and there many others we have lost, this is the luck of reasoning we possess, and it’s unfortunate. Right now I am done with this rubbish; you can call for elections today and elect those 1diots, the likes of HH, GBM, Chikwandas, and so forth and so on. Youths what, just a bunch of illiterates, for all I know.

    • @Nostradamus

At not point did I slag you for rebuking Kabimba. You can go back and check all blogs if you want. I think you are too excited and just typed my pseudo name by mistake.

Of all the people I am one of the bloggers who has a personal hatred for both Kabimba and his master Sata for what they did to me in the early 90s when they sold all government houses, one of which I was occupying in Woodlands. I was not even given a chance to organise my self to buy it. So my hatred for these two dates years back.

I should be honest , here, I have not forgiven Sata even if he fired his fellow criminal. But I am very happy that the PF has started to implode .I am very certain that come 19 th September, Zambians will know who is holding the instruments of power.

      For now Viva UPND…

  1. This is how much Kabimba was hated. I hope PF will learn a lot of lessons from one of their own, Kabimba.
PF should learn to listen to the cries of the people, most especially on the release of the new constitution, and many other issues pressing the nation.

    • @Patron Wa Zabanga, point of correction.
Kabimba was not and is not hated. Let me give you an example of a HYENA.
I have never heard people eating a hyena, not even a lion eats hyena.
Wild-dogs/ Mimbulu (PF cadres) eats hyena, they only chase it and bite and spit.
But hyena is notorious, it thinks its next to king Lion, but yesterday the king said its too much, he attacked!!! And no one in ZAWA is interested in claiming hyena, but the wild-life is celebrating.

    • Nostradamus….I’d rather be led by pick pockets and fraudsters than a maniac of small stature that tries to divide and conquer with dictatorial tendancies. Even if gov was made up of whatever tribe as long as it’s peaceful and some semblance of equality is there. This little chap actually admitted to importing thugs and rigging elections. Shows your character in supporting him. Your metaphor is pointless, nonsensical and ill researched (as is usually the case). Shame you are in shock and awe but didn’t see this coming did you. Now let people who are actually interested in Zambian and its people have a say and go learn something.

    • @LOL, why are so bitter, didn’t you sleep with a woman last night?
Research what, is there anything to research about Kabimba’s personality? How can you research wisdom? Do you have to research why Chikwanda is a wise man?
I explain things clearly by nature, and its my talent (wisdom), and most of the guys here loves me.
Now you can research if I indeed I ever supported Kabimba, before you continue watching pono.

    • Nost,
      1. The hyena is smarter than the lion in all ways. Do your research.
      2. Vultures will prey upon the hyena, just as they would on the lion. Do your research
      3. Wild dogs do not bite animals they don’t eat. Do your research

  2. What is there to show as an achievement for the Job Kabimba did for Zambia. I see nothing. Let others learn from this. It is better you leave a good name or no name at all than bad name

  3. Kabimba should bow out quietly, if not ACC will be after him. You cant be rejected like this and still be lwisharing. PF – thank you for throwing us this bone but we still have issues. Give us the constitution you promised, Mr president sir – leave us your legacy!

  4. Though I think this is great news, the question that’s begging to be asked is – ‘so who exactly fired Winter Kabimba’?
I ask this question because HE Michael Sata aka King Cobra is no longer in a position to make coherent decisions.

    • @Ricky Bobby?
Am sure if there is doubt as to who fired Wynter, we will see from how he reacts. If he feels it’s not coming from HEMCS then surely we will hear more on this matter. Whichever structure has fired the man seems to have enough authority in itself to the extent that Chellah issued the statement.

I am sure the guy will not just keep quiet he will talk.

  5. Winter will now understand that the current constitution vests too much powers into the institution of Republican President. Perhaps he may join well meaning Zambians in demanding a constitution that moderates governors. But we shouldn’t forget that Winter and the Boss are business partners. There is an understanding in this arrangement. It is of convenience. He is not totally out.

  6. we have put the zambian flag at half point at evaduco because of the sudden demise of kabimba’s bottom at state house. we shall argue that the man did not need to be fired but transferred to the house keeping department to wash sata’s smelly underwear. evans mfula reporting live from the compounds of lusaka

  7. Well, what can we say. Humbleness is required in leadership. Not arrogance and fighting everyone both inside and outside as if you are God. Man is mortar and should be careful. Even if you he was promised to take over PF, he still needed the whole PF and not destroying your inheritance on the way to the top job. PF needs a builder and humble leader. Demonstrations shows that he had no constituency in Lusaka which was supposed to be his base.

  8. Firing kabimba does not cleanse pf,but if gives them a fresh start, kick out the post paper spies on govt and drop some ministers,DCs,but be warned pf cadres that the cartel will start its drone program by releasing some classified documents to post news.lungu settles well with most Zambians ,I hope he doesn’t become big headed too.

  9. One more big celebration will be on Satanzee whose weight now is less than 25 KGs.the devil has failed to keep these PFs together.

  10. This is political gimmick. The cobra will say that I fired him because he did not give the people the constitution. This will mean a big VOTE for PF in 2016. Be careful with the Cobra.

    • It does make PF look better by getting rid of this guy and then saying he caused all the problems. The thing is if Wynter says HMC is not of sound mind to make this decision then it exposes all the supposed lies about working holidays and such…which in turn will ruin and has ruined PF. Then all the people including the small man can be prosecuted for lying to the people of Zambia. Not check mate but a stale mate within PF with Zambians actually having the checkmate option.

  11. The Judas Iscariot of Zambian politics and the PF has been shown the door to the gates of hell. Our vindication tastes soooo sweet.

  12. I saw it coming. Dont underestimate the power of a woman (first lady Bsc. MCBWhatever) They dont just sit idle. Remember Maureen One-wasa. A mouse has been thrown in a one roomed cartel !!!!

  13. Summer, please recall that you blocked justice to prevail some time back when you refused to be interviewed by ACC in 2012. Time has come for you to account for all those deals. You are going to be left hanging high and dry with no money in the pockets. You need not worry this is just part of Dochi Kubeba approach of doing business.

  14. Winter please send an SMS to HH and apologize for saying Hh was living in a dream land and for rigging Mangango by elections. Of what benefit was all that rigging to you. I feel You! You just wish…

  15. Its like the killing of Bin Laden. It had to come. How can one individual destabilize the entire PF and the country at large? Good riddance indeed.

  16. Wow, was this man hated this much. I wonder what his next move will be since he said he will serve nobody but the cobra who has just spat venom in his face?

  17. But how do you celebrate someone’s löss of income in such a crude manner? Yes there must be a genuine reason for this action but you are too stone hearted Zambians! Winter is a normal human being who made mistakes just like you and the president. Show some sense of humanity for this is à tragedy, respect this decision and Wynter as a fellow man. But you are such Animals! Iwe Ndobo… Stop refering to him as Ebola that is too hash!

    • @ Cindy

I agree with you. Ebola should be upset to be identified with ex-appointed to everything comrade kabimba.

    • Cindy, let us people celebrate in any which way we want. You’ve been away from Zed 4 too long 2 understand how stone hearted the man is. The guy arrogantly walks into the ACC building flanked by cadres and shouts, ‘where is the man 2 interview me?’. A young man obviously in his early years of working trys 2 confront him but is pushed down 2 sit by a cadre. The man arrongantly tells Brg. Gen. Miyanda on national TV that he should concentrate on the AK47 and let those with law degrees talk about the constitution. The man shows no messy in dealing with Lubinda just because the cadres Lubinda had been preventing from looting Kabwata land asked him not to. And terrible of them all, he denies zed a new constitution that would have prevented the presdo from sacking him. No we’ll won’t cry 4…

    • @Cindy

The more drunk with power they are the harder they fall. Kabimba should have learn’t that from Ghaddafi, Mobutu, Idi amini, etc.

    • @cindy
iwe Cindy,,,, remember you are also an animal!,,, i never called kabimba ebola neither am I celebrating on Kabimba`s loss,, WATCH that video again,, Kabimba`s own PF cadres from chipata are calling him ebola,,, and country wide PF cadres are celebrating NOT me,,,,,, me am only celebrating the appointment of ba Eddie Lungu as jusice minister and GS of PF,,,, finish

    • Oh shut up!! From reading about this man, he is associated with fraud, lies, cheating, fugitives, rigging, people wanted by humans rights authorities and the hague, he has admitted importing thigs into the country thus creating a security threat and potentially destabilising our peaceful country…nevermind the lives he’s ruined and threatened and made difficult. Wise up.

    • @Cindy : Very good point.
But remember that we Politicians are like characters in movies. If I met Sata, I will not ask about his illness, and I will greet him like “Mwapoleni Mukwai Bashi Gerald”.
Do see how Sata & HH greet each other in public? Extremely respectful.
Many wisemen when they meet Kabimba, they will not even ask him about PF, they ask about his family.

    • Thank you guys for your info on Wynter, my point however, is just to remind you to be sensitive! The guy has learnt it the hardest way. Spare him a pinch of oxygen please!

  18. Its was long overdue the arrogant empty tin is no more BUT why celebrate what is going to change? Fossil ABC should also come clean on the allegations and the deadwood in State house should have the balls to show himself in public when firing an individual who acted as president just last month….how do you fire someone without giving reasons and not via a live press conference. How do you reassure the people that you are alive….Zombies wake up from your docility and passivity.
When are we going to focus on the core issues….the empty tin has been fired now what unless you are a PF cadre where vacancies have emerged what of the people on the streets what changes for them.
    Wake up!!

  19. District Commissioners in Southern Province were openly campaigning for Wynter Kabimba. We have the evidence and some recordings. am now challenging the southern DC’s to deny this fact. The question is Did you think the Presidency was vacant ?

  20. Everybody knows the saying “blood is thicker than water”. My hypothesis is that someone (or even a group) went to Michael and asked him to chose between him/her (or even them) or Kabimba. The later was sacrificed. This is a lesson to all to be very principled and stand for that which is right than sing praises for a fellow human being. Guy is next and the K 14 billion issue will resurface….read in between the lines people. Someone sent me text reading “infula pa kuya ilonaula” whatever that means because I told understand nor speak this bantu dialect. To Kabimba I say, ndopa ndelikulya. Go have peace with you father man. I hope you stocked up as well.

    • How can a small amount (in GDP) terms like £16/$25 million or even £160/$250million hold a country to ransom? Absolutely useless. Lets get this theft sorted out. The evidence is there. Truth be told, hard copy newspaper sales are trending down globally and theres probably more phones in Zambia with internet access than daily newspaper sales. So everything is going down hill from here for these evil little men.

  21. Its not yet over the firing of Kabimba is the beginning of real issues in PF. I doubt if PF will do well in these coming by-elections. Watch my words. Despite him being who he was, he was good at campaigns. Well every human being has his good and bad sides.

  22. KABIMBA FIRED AND PF IS FIRED BY ZAMBIAN PEOPLE.
ITS GOOD THAT KABIMBA IS FIRED THE GUY HAD NO RESPECT FOR THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE . HE THOUGHT HE IS BIGGER THAN ZAMBIAN PEOPLE. LOOK AT THE WAY HE MOCKED THE TECHNICAL COMMITTE FOR THE CONSTITUTION MAKING PROCESS. TO DAY THE WISH OF THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE IS STILL GOING ON TO HAVE A CONSTITUTION THAT COULD MEET THE INSPIRATIONS AND ASPIRATIONS OF EACH CITIZEN. SO THE NEW JUSTICE MINISTER MUST RELEASE THE DRAFT CONSTITUTION TO THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE OR ELSE PF IS FIRING ITSELF IN THE SAME WAY KABIMBA HAS BEEN FIRED.
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING KABIMBA IS NOT A GOOD LEADER BUT THE GUY COULD NOT LISTEN. ANY HE HAS ANOTHER POSITION AS THE PRESIDENT OF THAT COLLECTION OF POLITICAL PARTIES I DONT KNOW HOW THEY CALL IT. THANKS TO MR. SATA MICHEAL THOUGH ITS…

    • Yeah headed and funded by a known warlord with terrorists, humans rights abuses and wanted by the Hague. Good riddance. Keep that shite out of Zambia. He’s finished lets not beat about the bush. Zambia will never accept this man and neither will we forget about what he did and almost got away with.

  23. DID YOU SEE THE HEADLINE IN THE POST? WHY IS THE POST SYMPATHETIC TO WYNTER KABIMBA? IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO READ WHAT THE POST WILL WRITE ABOUT KABIMBA AND CHIKWANDA IN THE COMING WEEKS. I GUESS MEMBE IS ALMOST LOOSING HIS MIND. HE WAS TRYING TO MARKET KABIMBA TO THE ZAMBIANS. NOW THAT HE IS OUT, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO MARKET HIM? COUNT DOWN TO 2016 HAS STARTED.

  24. So Kabimba got the news at a rally?! Wow!!! And this is the guy who worked so hard for Sata to be elected.

Even when Kabimba new very well Sata`s level of tribalism Kabimba still thought Sata would make him successor. Very stupid–Kabimba!

  25. President Sata should now harshly deal with the remaining members of the cartel & there representatives they have placed in all key institutions including his press assistant . Because it’s through these that the cartel thinks they are running this country and they are busy exposing his secrets.

  26. What ever goes up, one day will come down. But how it comes down matters. It is a lesson to all politicians who are drunk in power and think that they are irreplaceable! My brother Kabimba, this is a bitter lesson, but good lesson to the remaining people of your caliber. When you are saving people you should be sober and not to think otherwise. You can tell from jubilation how people were injured by our brother. In the village when a bad man dies people celebrate, is it the same case now?

  27. However high the positions we occupy, always, always, we must remember where we are coming from. Winter completely forgot where he was coming from. He only saw himself as the one who would take over the presidency, period. He was not able to assess his political popularity; thus he never understood his relations with people. He thought when you have political power, which is temporally, automatically, people love you. Or he thought the presidency comes by inheritance.

  28. I have always held; there is something wrong in this country with regards to governance in whole. Wynter Kabimba’s dismissal and the rampant delights among many that follow only prove my instincts about Zambia, however unsure if they were true.

It is clear that almost everyone is celebrating the sacking of Wynter be it political Criminals or mere citizens. In the absence of critical reasoning, one may just mechanically, too celebrate along with everyone without a clear reason. It is being alleged that Kabimba is arrogant and that he, with a certain clique were trying to oust opponents in a succession battle within the ruling party following President Sata’s alleged shrinking health.

I have spent quite some time to determine what it is that is national interest in the whole Wynter…

  29. Dear Comrades,

Here i come again today; the reading of the firing of Kabimba is indeed a very positive and good sign for many who have been advocating for peace and tranquility in this great mother Zambia. Who cares what happens to Wynter after this? No one really, the Man had become so powerful and stupid in this country. He could overrule anyone and anything at any time he feels like. To make matters worse, Wynter thought that all was going in his direction no matter what. He was a very small god in PF. They always say, what goes around; for sure comes around. He managed to fight the many heavy weights in the PF in the likes of Given Lubinda (Za Yellow), Geoffrey Mwamba (GBM), the list is endless even at grass root level, Wynter was there to torment the youths, PF ward leaders.

  30. Can ACC pounce on him with regards to Trafigura deal? Can Yamfwa Mukanga dissolve ERB board so that Kabimba is no longer ERB Board as well please?? His politics of no morallity has vindicated him. There was Tetamashiba, then came Mulongoti and finally Kabimba!!

  31. Only ignorant bloggers are associating Kabimba’s firing to tribalism. The man has been incompetent to say the list. He has been replaced by an Easterner and that is nothing to do do tribalism. I hope other politicians will take a leaf from these lessons and serve the people diligently so that when yo uh fall down, there will be some people to lift you up and not pour scorn on you as is the case with Kabimba.

  32. Winter kabimba should be loyal to the party at this time becoz this is just a gimick and he wil bounce back in 2016.This is the man who organised the party proparly when Sata was deserted.I do not think if Edger lungu wil do it.Sometimes in life u need to be firm in everything u do and this is what Winter did for the gud of the party so Mr Sata should carefull with advise he is being advised.Because even the oppositions ar now cerebreting .

  33. PF has failed Zambians and need to vote in more serious people to run the affairs of the nation prudently and create a country’s environment of certainty to tourists, business community and investors. The firing of Winter Kabimba is not a panacea of good governance in Zambia nor renders any credence to PF competency. The celebrations going round the country at the dismissal of Kabimba will be twice as much when PF government will be dismissed through a vote by Zambians in 2016.
Why?, because many more of the likes of Kabimba are still in this failed PF government and Zambians loath them, hate and cant wait to swaaa, zwaaa them out. This is the result of the GREAT DECEPTION PF MADE TO ZAMBIANS and make them look like little children easily cheated with ‘DONT KUBEBA’ concept.

  34. Winter kabimba should be loyal to the party at this time becoz this is just a gimick and he wil bounce back in 2016.This is the man who organised the party proparly when Sata was deserted.I do not think if Edger lungu wil do it.Sometimes in life u need to be firm in everything u do and this is what Winter did for the gud of the party so Mr Sata should be carefull with advise he is being advised.Because even the oppositions ar now cerebreting .

  35. Let people like Dora Siliya learn a lesson that arrogance and pomposity are not leadership virtues. Let her now realise that the way people are rejoicing about Kabimba is the way they will rejoice when she is finally thrown out of MMD.

Look as the blogs Dora, Listen to what people are saying about how you are sedtroying MMD. Everybody cannot be wrong and you are the only one right. & provinces said NO to your idea. Only one said YES> Can you not see? Bembas say UMWEO WABA MUKUTWI, AND UMUPATIKISHA WATULILE IN’GOMA. Listen to advise. Mr Kabimba was told time and time again, but refused to listen,.

  36. It was just a matter of time, Kabimba had to go. Just worried about the state of mind of Sata; the man makes these critical changes and does not even prepare the appointee even after having an early morning briefing with him? Maybe Lungu was the only name he could remember.
I strongly feel Chikwanda is firing the shots judging by his actions of late. He seems to be making decisions for Sata.
UPND, you need to sit down and strategize. To win a battle, you need to know the weakness of your enemy. PF can not change because of the firing of Kabimba; this party believes in lies! Hopefully HH will not be the lead negative story in the Post anymore.

  37. …I called a friend yesterday, who apparently, like many Zedians is very happy and relieved..
    …I asked him…..’but who fired WK..?’…
    ..’MCS offcourse..’…he promptly answered
then I said..’ are u sure..?..only yesterday u were telling me that MCS is incapacitated, bed ridden, dead…’
…he posed for some seconds and said…’look, don’t spoil my jubilation mood, I don’t damn care who did it. The only issue here NOW is that the bottle-neck…the arrogance…the chicky is out of the system..period’..and he cut the line…

Is that the general mood around..??…I wonder what is going thru the minds of WK…
whatever it is…he is saying ..’I’m not going down alone..’…
…the ‘bush’ fire has just been ignited…….

  38. In today’s POST editorial, the following statement shocked me: ”As for Wynter, we believe he has discharged his duty with sufficient honour and integrity and there is nothing to worry or feel humiliated about.” Membe’s thinking is so disgusting. What honour and integrity is he talking about. It seems Membe has his own definition of integrity and honour. Membe cannot deceive us to believe that Wynter is a man of integrity and honour.

  39. KABIMBA SHOULD LEARN THAT HE HAD CREATED MANY ENEMIES IN PF AND WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF OPPORTUNITY WAS THERE. IT IS A LESSON TO MANY POLITICIANS WHO ARE ARROGANT AND INFACT WHEN YOU ARE AN APPOINTEE REMEMBER THAT YOUR POWERS ARE IN THE APPOINTOR. CAN WE LOUGH AT KABIMBA? NO, HE IS WHAT HE IS AND I AM WHAT I AM.

  40. Why are some Zambians celebrating the firing of Kabimba? Firstly we are not even sure of who has fired him going by the uncertainties concerning the mental state of the president. Secondly why has he been fired only after exposing the corrupt practices of Chikwanda, the president’s uncle? Is this an attempt to divert attention from this alleged scandal by sacrificing Winter? Well if it is then its working very well. They have the gullible were they want them, celebrating and oblivious of Chikwanda’s scandal which in any case may be linked to the presidency. Winter can be replaced easily but, fraud will finally hurt even those who are celebrating now. Finally I urge all political parties and civil society not to take their eyes off the ball and let Chikwanda and his family go scot free.

  41. MUSHOTA you will now appreciate that, like VJ you can also earn a doctorate without struggling the way you have, for how many years?, if you continue making such reasonable analyses on LT. I can definitely propose you for the award as long as you promise, no Nick personal nonsense and satirical jiba jaba. Back to the topic. I always thought Kabimba had a mountain to climb, even without the firing. He shot down to many people. Where does he now stand with GBM and Lubinda. His position with the cadres is there for all to see. Another political party? We are witnessing the end of a political career brfore our very own eyes. And if he is the worst Lawyer, who HH would never hire if he was the only lawyer left he will not have any occupation outside politics, I said this about Nawakwi.

  42. Yes, we will celebrate this end too………………he is a big headed, well done your Excellence for your leadership and directions you have taken and congratulations Hon Edgar Lungu, all the best, sir

  43. Who is really to blame here? The child running around peeing on all his siblings or the parent watching from the sidelines until everyone is covered in pee then act?

  44. Am still inclined to maintain that SATA is either dead or incapacitated. Not the I wish him dead, I just feel it’s not in order for any citizenary to be denied enjoying the sight of its presidency they voted for. Kabimba might have been fired by a government machinery which might not even be Zambian. The machinery looked at the public mood and realised that this was the right course of action. Kabimba himself might have even come to an agreement with the machinery as a way to assess the situation. In this world there is just one power that runs the affairs (and am not talking about God, or Iluminate stuff). We are all owned by this group of people. They don’t care about us bloggers they think we are just vuvuzelas. Let’s see what happens on parliament opening day?

  45. Cobra amufwishila amate! having such a subordinate can be costly! imagine the level of hatred exhibited against Mr Winter…and you adopt such a Man as Presidential candidate? Nabatushe ba Winter, Mwabombeni pakufumyapo MMD from power

  46. Kabimba made PF what it is today by opposing the ill fated marriage with UPND.Yes as any normal person he made a lot of mistakes but what I liked about him is his conviction on any given matter. We may not know why he has been fired but the truth of the matter is that if it has anything to do with the VAT refunds issue then I would beg that as a country we continue interrogating the issues surrounding Mr Chikwanda and his dealings with the mines. If it is true that the technocrats at ZRA had given him expert advice on the issue of the VAT refunds but he did ignore and wanted to misled the President, then we have to stand up as a country and demand for justice, the Winter issue aside.

  47. Could this be the same Winter Kabimba who, against all odds, managed to commandeer Parliament to remove RB’s immunity? Kwena icalo cama seasons; Kabimba afuma shuwa?!!! RB, what’s your take????

    • But wasn’t RB being called to account for his own irresponsible behavior? Or are you saying that two evils make a right?

  48. To Edgar Lungu: please get on ground and fire ALL WINTER’S CONCUBINES IN THE NAME OF DC’s COUNTRYWIDE! START WITH SOUTERN PROVINCE!!!!!!!

  49. Only a few bloggers have understood the ‘wrongful,’ action against this man. Wrongful to treat him so heartlessly regardless of what his misconduct was. Fact is he did all those things in his career for the good of PF. They approved of his methods. It would appear he has been let go because of the fracture in relationships with family i.e. Chikwanda and that ominous VAT Letter. The fact is with the open debate and criticism
Against PF and the staunch stand by ECZ’s Ms Issacs, a demand was made to change behaviour in political parties during elections. In my humble opinion, President Sata picked his sacrificial lamb to raise his party’s image. Deplorable as Wynter was perceived, Sata should have demoted him to a lesser political role. Diplomat, to some far country, better.

    • I concur. Sata and his henchmen are demagogues. Even the devil himself could have afforded the guy (Kabimba) a honorable exit. Why must Zambians tolerate such inhumanity from their leaders?

  50. Just to add; the vicious reactions against Kabs, gives the world an image of a Zambia that is so negative. If Sata is supposed to be an oppressive leader, then we have turned into oppressed people acting out our anger towards each other. This dehumanising behaviour is evidence of the psychological harm done to the Zambian mind. Chipata cadres are correct in demanding further purging in the party. PF needs to regain its image and show it is listening to the people. But I join those calling on President Sata to help this man by throwing him a bone of kindness, please. Do not let savagery, act out its mindless attack on a man who acted for the party. Send him abroad on mission for Zambia so that he is safe and can repair his psyche or alternatively a lowly ministerial role.

  51. It’s beggars belief that we are celebrating the firing of Wynter Kabimba as Party SG, Minister & MP, which was long overdue anyway. We are even oblivious to the undemocratic tendencies of PF. I thought these party positions are supposed to be contested at the democratically convention. SATA, if he is alive, is PF and PF is SATA + party and its government. How can Zambia be taken back so far and no one seems to question it? New SG appointed by who?

    • I agree with you @ Dr. Eustace Wabo. The sad thing with African politics is that we are very good at quickly creating despotic regimes because instead of questioning the actions we resort to glamourising them before thinking. This move by Sata? raises a lot of questions considering his health, family and possible succession rather than the politics of Kabimba.

  52. Sorry ba Mushota. If you read your own writing, you will realize that you will not understand what you were writing about. In shot, you have been confused by sacking of your Kabimba.

  53. Abhorrent though Kabimba may have been, such joviality and jubilation over one’s fate is unnatural. It only goes to show how uncouth these cadres are. Or are they being paid for showing that they are less of being normal and proper human beings themselves?
