State House has released a statement in response to Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda’s article- A Paper on the case of the missing Commander- in Chief!. The press release issued by George Chella said the Brigadier General Miyanda should focus on progressive matters than focus on non-issues.The Presidential spokesperson said it is absolutely clear that there is no reason to constitute a medical board because the President Sata is well and has been chairing Cabinet meetings and executing his duties effectively.Mr.Chellah did not give an explanation as to why the president has been out of the public view for close to three months.

Below is the Full Press Statement

LUSAKA, Friday, August 29, 2014 – STATE HOUSE. It is strange for Heritage Party (HP) leader Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda or any other person to maliciously suggest that the Cabinet should be impeached for not resolving to constitute a medical board to examine His Excellency, Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata’s health, when Brig. Gen. Miyanda knows very well that there is no single clause in the Constitution that provides for impeachment of the Cabinet.

Article 36 (1) of the Constitution grants the Cabinet full discretion on whether to table the resolution or not and even when it is tabled it is not automatic that it will pass as the Constitution provides that a vote should be taken by the Cabinet.

Brig. Gen. Miyanda is also very aware that matters concerning the setting up of a medical board to examine the President’s health are before the courts of law and it is contemptuous and disrespectful of the courts for him to be commenting on matters that are before court.

Finally, Brig. Gen. Miyanda would do well to concentrate on more progressive matters rather than focus on none-issues, especially when it’s absolutely clear that there is no reason to constitute a medical board because the Head of State is well and has been chairing Cabinet meetings and executing his duties effectively; and therefore there is no crisis in the nation.

  1. Chella should be the next to be fired. He is embarrassing the President with such silly press statements. Why don’t you explain why the president is not showing himself to the people who voted for him.Is it cabinet that voted for him? Just admit Sata is sick and we are hoping a speedy recovery.

    • Forget Chellah

The problem I have with Mr Miyanda is that he passes disturbing unhelpful statements on President Sata

The statements you are coming up with Brig are not helpful, I dont know what tole you are still holding to in this current political climate, but in all honest I think you either tone down and or you pass statements that are there to help with the developments of this country.

I hope you are not very proud of this statements.

I know you are better than this and I hope you withdraw the terrible story I read from ZWD

      Thanks

    • I personally can’t stand Chellah’s arrogance and sense of invincibility. Do you remember a chap called Wynter Kabimba? You are next dimwit!

    • This Chela chap thinks all Zambians are dull. In the above answer to Gen. Miyanda’s paper he has loudly said nothing at all!

    • And after you finish feeding the president porridge yachungulo, ask him to address the nation as to why he fired the justice minister and explain to PF why he fired their SG.

    • I am sensing that Sata’s recovery is going rather smoothly and Sata may well make an appearance on the 19th Sept to open Parliament. Hence the firing of Kabimba and the resurrection of Chella and his Statehouse statements.
However, Chella should know that there is no Zambian who remains unclear over the fact that Sata was and remains terminally ill. So perhaps he should avoid all this ranting etc…

    • Hate him or not Chellah does not issue such statements without clearance from HE MCS.

He is simply HE. MC Sata’s echo chamber

      So dont kill the messanger

    • Ka chella has changed camp to save his job. After all he is Bemba. When he heard Kabimba being discussed, he knew that if he did not testify against the cartel, he would also loose his job. So he spilt all the beans about all the cartel ‘s evil schemes.

I am not surprised that all of a sudden he is that vocal and issuing statements like before. The boy is excited that he is no longer under the control of the cartel to keep his job.

Brave move Mwaiche but keep your eyes and ears wide open.

    • Ka chella, you are next to be booted out for embarrassing the presidential press office. I personally think you have outlived your usefulness.

Don’t think for once that testifying against the cartel , your former employers, you are safe now. My advice is keep your eyes peeled and your ears wide open. Very soon you be next to be fired for ranting against senior states men like General Miyanda who is asking genuine questions for which most Zambians seek answers on a serious note.

You lack press etiquette or decorum when responding senior states men. Have not learnt a lesson from the way Kabimba was fired?

Already too many people both within and outside PF are complaining that you are the one leaking State secrets to Mmembe. Uzachiona mange mange mufana iwe.

      Chella out!

    • You are right Mulenga hoping state house is listening Chellah has to be FIRED he is wasting our precious time we don’t want lies any more these pipo should be open we have seen the president before he disappeared

    • Really laughable indeed the young silly & immature George Chellah only appears when the deadwood rises from his coma…where was he when people are looking for him for answers? Maybe he is a Butler and not a press officer.

    • @ Chela says “….Brig. Gen. Miyanda is also very aware that matters concerning the setting up of a medical board to examine the President’s health are before the courts of law and it is contemptuous and disrespectful of the courts for him to be commenting on matters that are before court…”

      And then…

“…especially when it’s absolutely clear that there is no reason to constitute a medical board…”.

Spot the contradiction and the double standard? He is asking BGGM not to comment on the medical board, but he is doing exactly the same thing stating, ‘absolutely clear’. I wonder clear to who?

Why can’t for once the President himself come out and defend himself? Also doesn’t Mr Chela know that impeaching the President means ‘impeaching’…

    • @Dudelove

Imimbulu ishi shile suporter ba PF minions sha fumakwi? Nashisamwa pantu Kabimba na ba muntafya inchito. Tizakuonani babambala imwe.

      Kabimba azayamba kuulula mange mange.

  2. Iwe ka fcuking George Chellah the issue is why the fcuk is he not seen in public and talking to us the Zambians???? The fact that you have already issued that bullsh!t statement about him chairing cabinet meetings and people are still talking means they want more tangible proof you dumb SOB!!

    • Learn to be civil when making comments . Why do you want to see the president as if you are that special? You have already been told that he will officially open Parliament on 19th September so why can’t you have patience and wait till that time? In the meantime go and campaign for your party(UPND ) which will only manage to scoop 1 seat out of the available 5 seats.

  3. Tell him off George !! The general and his “nashala neka” party thinks he is still relevant in Zambian politics when he is not. It is his “know it all” attitude that has even contributed to his dwindling political fortunes.

    • @ Dudelove

When it comes to Saulousi, he is always consistent.
Once a jerk, always jerk. Once 1diot, always *****.
It must be side effect of being member of PF intelligentsia.

    • @Saulosi
The General is raising issues as a Zambian not Party leader. For Gods sake when are you going to start reasoning using your brains not otherwise?
The President is got a job to do as CEO of the country and not to use Plot 1 as a bedroom; it is an office!
If his health can’t allow him to work then he should call it a day. We can’t all stop living because of one person- we all come and go just like WYNTER KABIMBA has gone.
We have the right to fire this man if he continues failing to work and getting a free salary.

    • Honestly, Mr. Miyanda has developed this attitude of coming with such sweeping statements believing is a learned lawyer or should i say the Alpha and the Omega in Zambian politics decision. The former Brig. General do you share some of these things with your wife, cause i know she is sober and can give you honest opinion of yourself that you are a spent force in Zed Politics…. and you can do better than this article. Ask your wife to create a position in her business maybe that will keep you busy.
      Zikomo

    • @Saulosi
Preach brother and don’t bother about those losers attacking you. They are just guilty that you are right. As for Dudelove he is just your stalker,he always responds to your posts.Glad your don’t waste your time responding to these losers.

    • @ Libertade
You’re on point. He has a one-track-thought process incapable of real debate. Kuba chita fye tolerate abaso and quickly jump to more sensible comments that have depth, whether from PF chaps or opposition, although ba PF banono that make sense…. Chinyama is one….. can’t really think of anyone else……

    • Iwe ka Queens, the only reason ka Saulosi cannot respond to me or my friends is because he does not have the mental capacity to do so, just like any other PF cadre. Do you comprehend?

    • @Saulosi, now Kabimba is gone, we remain to deal with you and ka Chellah.
I really don’t like abalinganya ama pulley with Gen.

    • Saulosi is the man, mwebashala you are just jokers. He has a point here.Miyanda’s arrogance has led to his downfall. That man can’t be advised. Saulosi we love you.I can even give you my body to feast on the whole weekend because you are just too sweet. You speak my mind dude.

    • You see, comments like Maria’s are the ones that convince me beyond reasonable doubt that PF cadres are brain-dead. Is the subject matter being debated here about Miyanda’s political career or is it about what Miyanda has brought to the fore through his concerns on the whereabouts of sata? In your reasoning, just because his party is small this disqualifies him from commenting on national matters? My poor dear Maria, if the shallow reasoning of one saulosi is all it takes to ravish your body, then i fear to imagine the number of dunderheads you have slept with. smh.

    • Kabwe, if your perception of me came from individuals I respect like Wanzelu or Jay Jay because of the intelligent way they articulate issues, I would have been truly hurt. But seeing that am still feeling jolly and very good about myself, that tells me that you’re a common little pea-brained PF douche and the only thing that hurts me is that I have wasted valuable time responding to you. Cheers!

    • @Dudelove what do you contribute here about from cyber stalking people like Saulosi and insulting other people you don`t agree with ? You are the worst blogger i have seen here. You don`t have to sink to personal attacks all the time. It is about time you grew up brother.

    • @Dudelove.

@Kabwe is also one deluded fellow who just agrees with whatever sh1t his fellow PF minions spew here on LT.

Look @ Saulosi, he started very well , but now I am 100% he has lost his marbles for fear of losing his embassy job if PF is booted out. He has totally become too deluded to see that PF is quickly imploding and disintegrating.

Lets keep on hammering them and pumping sense into their brains until they burst.

    • Kabotu, my friend, if you follow my blogs you will know that I am one of the most objective bloggers on Lsk Times. The only times I get piffed and stoop to these levels is when chaps start attacking the author of the subject matter at hand, talking about his personality instead of dealing with the points the said author has raised. The author himself is not here to defend himself and so as a person who supports his stance, I will be his agent. If you are honest with yourself, you will admit that the calibre of PF bloggers is waaaay below a level where any form of intelligent debate can happen. That is why I need to climb down and tussle at their level because this is what they understand. You dig?

    • @ Wanzelu, I have to admit I am having fun. Elo imwe ba ‘Saying’ like I said somewhere above when I was responding to some chap I should not even have responded to, I still feel totally good about myself. Which means nangu unga tuke shani, as long as it is from chaps who support dull reasoning like you, it does not affect me at all. Ntuka boyi, ipeshe, waumfwa ka chigili? hahaha, you guys make my day!

    • Am sad you feel that way Bayern. I am just hungry for intelligent debate and it is a little frustrating that tangible points come from people who are already on my side. I dream of a day when people like Kudos would not talk about smoking cow dung in reference to Southerners and HH and instead maybe look at General Miyanda’s concerns and then respond to those in a sober, point for point manner. Not rushing to attack the person raising these valid concerns and dissing his political career, ninshi what is there to debate when the opposing side NEVER looks at the subject matter but concentrates on personalities?

  4. So honourable Chellah, in simple language (for those of us in Kalingalinga who according to Wynter’s reasoning voted PF but may not speak or understand chizungu) what exactly have you said in your statement?

  5. First whats all this fuss all about of ukumona my cobra kanshi?Njipusheko,if you see my cobra, will it bring food on your phucking tables olo shani? All this mediocre talk about my cobra is useless, atase!!Voetsek!!!!Eao chakalipa lwakwe………….

    • Ba Chief Grief Sata is our president and like a father in the house. How do you run a country via facebook and you continue to say he is fine why is he not defending himself? It is not putting food on my table he is suppose to talk to the national like Obama does like Zuma like any president in the world. Our president is mute and u think it is ok awe bane let us think

    • It is very abnormal for you to think that it is ok for the president to stay away from the public for more than 90 days. It is very difficult to tell what goes on in your head for you to think that what is going on our country is normal. Stop following blindly and think rationally. If you don’t change, you will fall between two stools.

  6. This scandal demands truthful answers by a proper person representing the Executive. We suggest that either Dr Scott, Minister Chikwanda, Minister Lungu or all three of them together address a live broadcast and take questions from the public! This is not a PF affair, and it is not even a family affair but a matter that concerns the whole nation’s well-being, security and stability. No one must hold the nation to ransom: not the President, not the PF and not even those who bank-rolled the PF in the last election.
The PF can keep their PF president and deal with that situation as they feel. ButWe, the People, must claim our Republican President and demand for the truth, the whole truth.

    • You’re right on point my friend. If we had people who could reason like this at the helm of power, then these silly debates and speculations would not even be necessary. This is what happens when the whole foundation of a party is based on lies. You have to lie more to substantiate your previous lies and in the end, the only thing consuming government is coming up with plausible lies at the expense of very important things like mechanisms to reduce the cost of living.

  7. The Executive must tell all there is to tell and answer, inter alia, the following questions: where is the Republican President and how is he? Why is he not talking to his people? Can he speak? Can he see? Can he hear? Can he recognise people? Can he write? Is it him who has been writing on Facebook? Is he safe or is he a captive? When and what was his last executive instruction and to whom was it addressed and delivered?
We are in this situation today because of ignoring the Constitution and other laws, including those that demand for strict observance of procedures, whether this be in court processes or appointments of persons to various offices, especially constitutional ones. We must strive to re-introduce and observe the Rule of Law. We shall never put right what has gone wrong.

  8. Better give the guy some props, two full time jobs at once,Editor @ Post & that presidential whatever!………….only the latter is failing him!

  9. WHY DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE PRESIDENT? CHOOSE ONE:
    1. BECAUSE IT IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT
    2. BECAUSE I MISS HIM.
    3. IN ORDER TO LAUGH AT HIS PHYSICAL APPEARANCE DUE TO ILL HEALTH,
    4. ANSWERS 1 AND 2 ARE WRONG.
FOR MOST OF YOU, YOUR ANSWER IS 3 OR 4. AND THIS IS NOT HELPFUL. DO NOT CALL FOR THE PRESIDENT TO APPEAR WITH YOUR FOLKED TONGUE.

    • Next time , type in small caps, people may take you serious
and some might mistake you for someone intelligent.

      Thanks

    • I’m sorry, but you don’t seem to have the slightest comprehension of what is expected of a head of state.
Side note, George Chella works for the Post and Fred Mmembe. Therefore its no rocket science that their cartel ‘leaked’, shall we say published, the then secret doc by ABC to the clown in state house regarding VAT. If you had any shred of brain in your head you’d know that our state security is highly compromised as a result of your incapacitated clown in state house. But its a waste of time reasoning with pathetic fools, so they call you.

  10. If the govt. were to state that the reason the President has not been seen in public is because he is unwell at the moment, it would be the end of the matter. If you say he is well and working, the same question comes back; “Why is he then, not in the public limelight?” The Chellahs, Scots, Sata’s wifey and some-pigheaded bloggers all stupidly ignore or refuse to answer this question. How can a whole nation be taken for such a ride? A govt. that says what you think as a people doesn’t matter and we don’t have to answer your question? Unbelievable!

  11. A lot of you here are envious of George Chella…Busy scratching your balls wishing you were in his position…Tone down!

    • Wrong. First, too proud and educated to call an incapacitated clown like MCS as my boss. Birds of the same further.. Second, wouldn’t stoop that low to envy a political oppointee such as George Chella. Remember Wynter Kabimba…Nuf said. Go play with yourself mama..

  12. # 1.5, NO NO NO, that is sad news. If a terminally ill person shows signs of recovery, it is their way of saying bye for the last! sob sob sob…

    • What venom? From a toothless ID!OT????

This not venom, it is just his SH!T that he has failed to deposit in the toilet due to his incontinence. And there is more SH!T everywhere. His USELESS PF members cannot walk without putting their foot in it. Some even now have SH!T on their faces!

The mess is TOO BIG to try and hide with L!ES now, it is leaking out the door!

  13. Zambia is a country held to ransom by it’s own spooky president who has been in a trance for nearly 3 months.

  14. Ok, let Sata appear in public in september at the opening of parliament. If I had power to comnand Sata I would tell him to show himself to the public next year january the 1 2015 so that at least 10 of his haters die of grudge and jelousy. shame on you who hate Sata.

  15. General Miyanda also has the habit of disappearing FOR FOUR YEARS only to reappear just before elections to stand as a candidate for president. Who is he therefore to question President Sata’s absence when he is has the same habit he is now criticizing. Appearing in public doe NOT mean a president is effective or efficient. I know for a fact that many of the 1.3billion Chinese have never seen most of their leaders let alone their President and yet China is one of the best managed economies of the world…..How many members of Heritage party have seen their president in the last 12 months physically?? How many members of the MMD have seen Dr Mumba physically and I am not talking about pictures in the newspaper? What is really behind our fixation with seeing President Michael Chilufya Sata?

  16. Miyanda has been SATA’s boss before and he is a General who understands strategic and security to the point that he has been accused of treason in the past. In my opinion he is entitled to say what he ants. I even sometimes think
he could have made a better president than ‘all these’, if it wasb’t for the one man party venture he has embarked on. And time is running out for him anyway. Zambia will no longer need these old guards no more. We won’t have this anymore. Were we vote for someone then he hides in state house from us.

    • Many people do not know Miyanda. He is a former coup plotter who is obsessed with power. KK fished him from DRC where he was hiding. He could never have made a good President, he is not better than Sata. He has the same dictatorial tendencies like Sata. Good man, he may be , but a good president, not on my terms!

  17. Chellah is just a mouthpiece of the Government Machinery saying only what he is told. Don’t Hung the guy. SATA is either dead or incapacitated and a system is at play. RB was the last president in control of Zambia. He was a nice man afterall.

  18. I miss the jokes of the big man! Am sure he’s cracking them huge behind closed doors! I can’t even imagine the ones he is spealing out on frail Wynter…. Must be all day therapy through laughter at plot 1! Kabimba will miss!
@ Ba chella, the general just want some answers am pretty much positive he means well. So…… Do you have any idea who the next president may be? Since am predicting PF bouncing back into power in the next GEs, can you pass on this msg… No Old F.rts please en also not too young nowonder we produced hyper ambitious K, you are welkom!

  19. With due respect to freedom of expression enjoyed by Chella, it is self delussion to believe that he Chella is an expert on constitutional matters and take Zambians for granted. There is already tension in the nation regarding the long absence of the head of state and nothing has been offered to Zambians as response of this missing president. Chella like all senior public office holders should remember that one day will come to stand in court for misleading the nation over continued absence of head of state without reasonable answers. Chella need to know that General Miyanda is former Vice President and acted as President with years of experience. Probably knows too well what that office involves. Chella should exhibit respect and integrity to senior citizens over national matters.
