THE Christian Democratic Party (CDP) has expressed concern over the Immigration department invasion in Churches.

CDP president Danny Pule said churches were partners in national development and the men of God should not be attacked or sent away.

Dr Pule who was speaking at a press briefing held at Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) in Kitwe yesterday, said his party was concerned over the way immigration department officers were conducting their operations by invading churches.

He said he was displeased with the way immigration officers in Kitwe picked immigrants at a church gathering last week.

“We do support Government’s effort to flash out immigrants from the country but there is a professional way of doing that and not going about invading churches,” he said.

Dr Pule advised that Government should partner with Churches to reduce crime levels in the country and further advised them to stop charging churches who were conducting their church services in Government schools.

He further appealed to Government to set up a trustee fund that would assist churches build infrastructures in their respective localities.

  1. Please leave Gods house alone , follow wrong doers to their homes you don’t know how it pleases God to see one soul repent, the bible says luke 15:10; do not play with Gods house

  2. This man is going mad. Ati don’t charge churches for using goverment schools and government should set up a fund for infrastructure development of churches! Isn’t the offering you collect enough? Now you want us tax payers to fund your indecent extravagant life? Useless chap! I wonder how some people can get up and go and waste their time on this waste of space.

On the immigration issue. Churches are the best places to catch these chaps because that is where they congregate as a group after that they vanish and blend into the community. I now suspect this chap is harbouring illegal immigrants. May the law please visit this chaps church

  3. This trend is also being witnessed in Botswana where foreign pastors have been denied permits and deported leaving some of the congregations without a shepherd. What does this all point to?The preparation of the anti Christ. In the years to come Christians all over the world will face persecutions like never before.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    • Botswana has local pastors too. One need to get into the country legally not illegal. Bible says respect the laws of the land.

  4. Do not be quick to blame GRZ on this one. Most churches are business centers. especially Pente. They can’t even build a clinic or school for the poor.If they build a school, its purely private and expensive. If pule was talking of traditional churches, catholic,SDA,UCZ,RCZ EFZ ect, I would have supported him.

  5. Those so called “pastors” from Nigeria, Congo, are just fake, just come to conduct business, please government go for them and smoke them wherever, they hiding in the name of God, especially so called PENT!!!

  6. A nation that respects God will prosper, zambia is doing well because of the declaration by Chiluba , now God lives in zambia eathens dont realise so, as they dont know who keeps a nation in peace , you all benefit from the prayers of these same people hate, leave servants of God , how ever follow criminals where they live

  7. Gov’t Partner with Churches : NO

Reduce crime levels in the country: By encouraging your members to register themselves legally

Stop charging churches who were conducting their church services in Government schools: Agreed but please pay electricity, water rates

Pastors who are in Zambia illegally are criminals. God would not like to be served by liars who sneak into other countries for their benefit. We welcome asylum seekers in Zambia, please declare yourselves and be processed. There is no justification for illegal immigration. A lot of them want to start churches for personal wealth.
