Zambia U19 rugby team flops in Uganda

The Zambia Under-19 Rugby Team has finished bottom of the four-nation Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) Under-19 1B tournament held in Uganda.

The Philip Dongo coached side on Saturday lost 15-0 to Senegal in the third place play-off as Zambia were demoted to tier 1A of the CAF Under-19 competitions.

The Under-19 boys are coming back from the CAR tournament without scoring a single point after losing their opening match to Madagascar by 43-0 on Wednesday.

Hosts Uganda won the competition after beating Madagascar 17-8 in the final on Saturday to qualify to tier 1A.

The CAR U-19 Africa Cup was inaugurated in 2003.
