Chambeshi in Blades reunion

Share

Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi makes a quick return to Konkola Stadium on Wednesday as his team faces Konkola Blades in the rescheduled FAZ Super League Week 17 match set for Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

Chambeshi left Konkola last July to rejoin Nkana.

Defending champions Nkana are fifth on the table with 32 points, three games in hand and one disputed match against Kabwe Warriors.

On the other hand, Konkola are ninth on the table with 26 points from 21 matches played.

“We are very well prepared for this match. We know going to Konkola is not an easy task but I am happy with positive morale in the team. We are playing to get results in each particular match and we are going to Konkola knowing very well what we want,” Chambeshi said.

Nkana beat Konkola 2-1 in the first round match played on May 7 at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Konkola coach Enos Silwimba says Sharp Razor wants to collect maximum points off Nkana to recover from Sunday’s 1-0 loss to their archrivals Konkola Mine Police in the Chililabombwe derby.

“It will be a 50-50 game but we want to pick three points against Nkana on Wednesday. It will be a tough game we are coming from a loss against Konkola Mine Police so we can’t afford to lose another game,” Silwimba
