President Michael Sata is expected in Solwezi today to campaign for PF candidate Newton Malwa.
Vice president Guy Scott has announced at the last public rally he held in Solwezi on yesterday.
Dr Scot who was in the constituency, also met Chief Kapijimpanga and urged the people of SOLWEZI to turn up in large numbers to listen to President SATA’s message.
Dr. Scott says the President loves the people of Solwezi and North Western Province, and should therefore support the PF for development.
And Dr Scott says it is important that the PF scoops the Solwezi Central seat in this Thursday’s Parliamentary by elections.
He says this is because Northwestern Province is thirsty to benefit from development taking place under the PF Government.
Dr Scot was speaking when people welcomed him at Solwezi Airport on his arrival in the morning.
And PF Campaign Manager for the area Gabriel Namulambe is happy that campaigns have been peaceful and has thanked police for ensuring that no cadres were imported into Solwezi.
And at a rally in Chief Kapijimpanga’s area, PF National Youth Chairman Chishimba Kambwili said time has come for the people of Solwezi to vote for young people into high decision making positions
And Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda says the people of Solwezi should now try PF because the opposition has allegdely.
And Sports Minister CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI says former PF Secretary General and Justice Minister WYNTER KABIMBA has NO room in the ruling party, and that the Post Newspaper should STOP referring to the PF as tribal clique.
Mr. KAMBWILI says the Post Newspaper should actually blame Mr Kabimba for frustrating other members like Kabwata MP Given Lubinda and his Mufumbwe counterpart Stephen Masumba.
However, Mr Kabimba has not commented on Mr Kambwili’s statement, that the former Party Secretary General is no longer wanted in the PF.
ZNBC made several attempts to reach Mr Kabimba by telephone but failed.
Mr Kambwili made his comments when he addressed a public rally to drum up support for Solwezi Central PF Candidate NEWTON MALWA.
And Mr. LUBINDA urged Solwezi electorates to vote for PF Candidate Mr. MALWA because the opposition has allegdely failed the people of Solwezi.
Meanwhile MUFUMBWE Member of Parliament STEVEN MASUMBA says his District has recorded progress because of working with the Government of the day, while Mines Deputy Minister RICHARD MUSUKWA says only PF Government will develop Solwezi.
Thank God the president is back. Zambia loves you MCS but please take it slow, you don’t need to appear at all these by-elections. Continue working like you have been doing and let your achievements speak for you.

When i said that Sata will come back and embark on a massive countrywide campaign my post was heavily voted down by naysayers and pessimists like Wanzelu who only wanted to believe the “Sata is already dead” and “he is on life support” versions of the story. Now you haters must be licking your wounds in shame. No Zambian watchdog or UPND formed against shall prosper. Long live Sata and PF !!!

If the ‘unstilll’ pictures are anything to go by Mr Sata should easily be allowed to go for the second term and maybe allow someone like Wynter from 2021.
US President Gerald Ford lived over 93 years old, Dr Kaunda is 90, and if Mr Mugabe can be a president at 90, Mr Sata is a young man at only 77 years and has another 13 years to go actively on top.
It is not far fetched to think he MUST be the president come 2021 when he will only be 80 years old by my math qualification.

I fear that PF has already rigged the elections for Solwezi. They are sending Sata there to justify their ill gotten victory. They reason since the opposition is split, the can rig this one and get away with it. They will also rig in Mukushi and one more on the Eastern Province. The way rigging is done in Zambia is that the Ballot boxes are staffed with about 1000 fake mostly pro PF and a few pro opposition votes just to make it look real. The registration cards that are given just before elections have names matching those used in rigging. PF uses just one or two polling stations to insert these false votes. On a level playing field UPND would win 3 of the 5, while MMD and PF would win 1 each.

I think it is wise to go with PF at this time and be able to get as much needed development as possible under a PF MP. An Opposition MP, will struggle to get the development for the area put through. They should use wisdom like Esther in the Bible who went the extra mile to save her people. Sometimes life poses strange bed fellows!
Also it is only a year and a bit before general election, so what is to lose! Try it you may like it should be the motto for PF campaigners. They can vote differently in the general election if they find it intolerable! Really there is nothing to harm them. PF will throw every thing developmental their way to hold on to them; if they too are wise and serious in gaining new ground.

I will always think highly of my mother, Zambia in spite of being away from my beloved country. The Zambian people are intelligent, peaceful, and respectable people. Everyone who comes across a Zambian overseas likes and respects us. People just loves the Zambian spirit that is portrayed by us abroad. But what bothers me the most is the Zambian political system which is very very low. It is just like the American political system. Politics of personal destruction and name calling. It is just like Democrats vs Republicans. People should practice politics to compete about ideas. Who has the best ideas to develop the country? Not jealous and envy. Lets come together as one nation and figure out how we can make this country forge ahead. Zambians are smart people and can do better.

How so correct you are. I have had people acknowledging that Zambians are generally very intelligent people with charming outgoing personalities. Very nice complements that warms my heart. Another wondered why Zambia is not developed when it’s so obviously saturated with intelligent people. I know the answer to this one but I could’t tell them that behind the charming and intelligent facade there lurks a vicious malevolence that has culminated in destructive PHD and is the single biggest factor that militates against any meaningful development.

I think you do not stay in Zambia and you do not travel. Developmental projects are out there for everyone to see. Chipata, Mongu, Chinsali, Solwezi,Lusaka, Kabwe, Ndola,Livingstone and Kasama (Roads, Schools, Health Centres/Hospitals)

In Africa people are still in the process of awakening intellectually. I do think multi party politics have a long way to go before voters can get it right I.e. Not voting Tribally, but issue/mandate based voting.
The problems we are seeing now in Zambia are simply the ‘Griwing Pains.’ Like teenagers have hormonal in balances that cause behavioural problems at that stage of their development; so are we. Patience and persistence will bring us to a perfect place. I am hopeful that will be soon.

Fellow Zambians, on the 11th September 2014, we are going for another round of bye elections. This time we are going into Vubwi, Mkushi South, Kasenengwa, Zambezi West and Solwezi Central. As I write this, I have just left Zambezi west bank and I should say that I am happy with the preparations for the elections in all the five constituencies.
Let me first thank the people in these constituencies. Firstly for receiving UPND with open hands and lending us their ears to give them our message. Secondly for looking after the campaign teams in their localities. Thirdly for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner. Zambians are peace loving and this set of by-elections…

Let us not skin each other with insults but issues that will help one another. I want to ask one question concerning development. MMD in it 20 years of leadership borrowed money but it had US$1.2b, PF in three years has borrowed US$4.5 billion. I trust all so called development shall take this country into deep poverty. The PF has not explained how they have used the borrowed funds and what the Tax collections has done and how the borrowed funds will be paid back, for how long we do not know.
They have cheated farmers that they will be paid their dues of maize bought on nkongole to FRA in two weeks time but now it is a month gone.
