KABWATA Member of Parliament Given Lubinda has rubbished Post Newspaper report that President Michael Sata ordered him (Lubinda) and Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba to stop talking about Mr Kabimba.

Mr Lubinda has challenged the Post Newspaper to invite him to its office to listen to a recording where President Sata was heard stopping him (Lubinda) and Kasama Central MP Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba to hold their own rallies.

He explained that PF secretary general, Edgar Lungu, on advice from President Sata advised the duo (Mr Lubinda and Mr Mwamba) to keep their speeches at the Solwezi rally brief for the sake of time.

And party officials have also confirmed that President Sata was happy that Mr Lubinda and Mr Mwamba were part of his campaign trail in Solwezi.

“It was not President Sata that said those things. Gabriel Namulambe is the one that spoke to President Sata and the media was not close to hear what Namulambe was whispering to the President. He (Namulambe) then went to speak to Mr Lungu. It is Lungu that announced that he was guided by the Head of state that the two could find their own time to talk about such issues as the time was not enough.

I do not know how other people reported the other way round,” the official said.

The official said the President had no issues with the two parliamentarians and that he was happy that they were able to participate in party activities fully.

Mr Lubinda said the PF was almost destroyed by the cartel that attempted to hijack the leadership of the country before President Sata could complete his first term of office. He said the sacking of Mr Kabimba as Justice Minister and secretary general of the ruling party had brought relief, unity, harmony and peace not only in the party but also to the nation as a whole.

Mr Lubinda said Mr Kabimba and his clique were synonymous with hatred, disunity and that President Sata’s decision had made the party stronger and united.

The Kabwata lawmaker said it had become apparent that the Post Newspaper had embarked on a crusade to rebrand and repackage Mr Kabimba in an attempt to resurrect their ambitions to take over the leadership of the country.

He said assertions that President Sata had stopped Mr Mwamba and himself from talking about Mr Kabimba were nothing but a figment of imagination by the Post Newspaper that had been mourning and weeping the sacking of the former Justice Minister.

Mr Lubinda told the Daily Nation that at no time did President Sata ask him (Lubinda) and Mr Mwamba to hold their own rallies adding that the Post Newspaper had the propensity of twisting stories to suit their ambitions.

He said Mr Kabimba was at the centre of the confusion and acrimony in the PF and that his fall from hero to zero had brought a lot of happiness in the ruling party which was deeply divided when the former Justice Minister was at the helm of the ruling party.

“It is not true that the Head of State asked me and my colleague GBM (Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba) to stop talking about Mr Kabimba. In fact I did not even mention that name and I have no time.

Mr Kabimba has fallen from hero to zero and we heaved a sigh of relief in the party. The frustrations of Post Newspaper can be seen in their attempt to resurrect Mr Kabimba but Zambians must ignore them,” Mr Lubinda said.

He said it was clear that Mr Kabimba was the messiah of the clique that had continued attacking President Sata and his government after sacking the former secretary general of the ruling party.

Mr Lubinda said the Post Newspaper that was calling the PF government corrupt and tribal should be careful with their ambitions because they had stepped on the toes of many Zambians both in the ruling party and outside.

“In fact, it was me who told our secretary general Edgar Lungu that we should embark on countrywide campaigns to mend what Mr Kabimba and his clique had destroyed. When I was leaving the podium, the President waved at me happily,” Mr Lubinda said.

He said he had no problems with the Post Newspaper to propagate their agenda but vowed that he was not going to sit back and see the media house build the image of an individual where there was nothing.

  1. Mr Lubinda, is being desperate like HH

    This is now a circus

Why comment on the post all the time, dont give them any credence

    Bon of a Sitch

    Thanks

  2. Well done Given. The fcukers at the Post are trying hard to drive a wedge between His Excellency and his people. We will not allow that to happen.

    • Anyone that wants to be lied to by the Past Toilet paper does that at there own peril. Well done Given, the PF is far much stronger now with you in the Fold.

Now it’s time we took the Enemy to task and defeat them.

    • @Kimbanguist, are you suggesting that the POST should be allowed to get away with their stupidity? For your own information, so many people have now lost confidence in the POST. It is clear that Meembe is using his paper for a selfish agenda. If you saw the editorials Membe was writing about winter in the past weeks, you could see that Membe was full of desperation. He was trying to convince Zambians that Wynter was a man of integrity. Unfortunately, things backfired when he faced criticism from the members of the public. His main agenda is to have a President he can easily manipulate in order to get favours from plot one. Membe is very greedy.

    • Kimbanguist – That assumption only works with normal Media houses, not those like the Past Toilet Paper, with a WILD Editor in Chief.

From now on, he will be taken head on!!!!!!!!!!!! Pushing ZRA on him NOW.

  3. This Lubinda has become so petty excited for nothing becareful you think Wynter is dead wait you start crying like babies he will be back very soon who thought that one day again you will seat next HEMCS be cool and focused do not be GBM bana ba mukomboni abo

  4. We all know how GIVEN LUBINDA is a desperate door-mat that can be stepped-on by anybody. Even if you didn’t like Kabimba how do you go and stand infront of the public and give such a silly speech. He is not even ashamed of having behaved like an excited child. I’m very shocked. Michael Sata has shown him on several occasions that he doesn’t like him. Why didn’t he protect him at the time he was kicked put of PF cabinet? Even now they are using him, we all know that. Given is a loser, he should have just stuck with UPND. I didn’t know Given Lubinda is such a dull person and it is very disappointing to the point where I feel sorry for him. One day, in front of everybody and loudly, he was told by Sata in broad day light that he is not trusted. Today he is bootlicking?

    • @ Sledge

Oh please…don’t give me that rubbish. Me jealous of Given Lubinda? What has Given Lubinda got for me to be jealous of him? Some of you illiterates come here thinking we are all the same! Just go to your little place and curl up. What I have said about Given is the truth and I would repeat it 100 times – even Given himself knows that what I have said about him is true.

  5. Mr Lubinda, stop being childish by showing excessive excitement of Kabimba’s zero position. No matter what you do or say to mock Kabimba it wont equal the humiliation that Kabimba received by the action of Sata – to fire him. Your childishness lies in the that fact that you said that you had forgiven all those who persecuted you, but isnt it a contradiction for you to insist to make points i that regard? Kabimba and you, are mere Zambian citizens, allow your heart to stay in your chest for its, its resting place!

  6. Given Lubinda is excited we know why, because he sees a chance of bouncing back into cabinet or being appointed SG of PF. The same goes for GBM these guys are on a mission someone is likely to come out bruised.

  7. @ Kimbanguist, better be fair & accept political verdict upon yo wrongheld hope in the Cartel, & if your’re serious with yo political career, would rather invest yo energy into the grassroots who in most cases don’t afford the price your dear Postnewspaper.

  8. @chisenga, a newspaper has got nothing to lose. Newspapers worldwide have their own biases, especially if you have an opposing viewpoint. Lubinda is starting to build his shattered ‘political career’ (if there is a thing like that). Fighting MMembe is not part of his agenda, stay clear otherwise he will get a kick in the gonads and can be very painful.

  9. What is the reason for so much comedy in the governing party? Can someone remind them they are the government? The fertiliser needs to be distributed & maize exported, does anyone care? Why doesn’t M’membe just F**k off? The british will allow him to be openly gay & mahtani can pay for his settlement. Comedy central now featuring ‘Mbala za pa Zed!’

  10. To this girl called mushota. She knows I have restrained myself enough but now I will tell the story y she hates the president so much, she lines up like our sisters do along ADI’s Ababa nd ndeke hotel area in the night, and one day when HH was there for some high level meetings with the European union president she that he was that cheap that he could give her business in those lines, but she was disappointed to see the levels of decence in the man, by telling her off the he loves the wife nd doesnt do bicthes like her,and that’s how this girls hatrad for president HH.came so to mushota u nd I as ADC to the president know wat happens on that day stop hating get a life young lady.

  11. Most of the bloggers attacking Lubinda are UPND supporters. When Lubinda was being harassed by Kabimba, many expressed the hope that he would gravitate to the UPND. When he didn’t, they were very bitter and he became the target of their frustrations..

  12. how is it that the Post newspaper is the only one allowed to speak against the president or the PF? ANYONE ELSE HEARD SAYING THE PRESIDENT IS ILL OR SOMETHING IS ARRESTED? TAKEN TO COURT ETC, something fishy there, how can Meembe have so much power over the president.

  13. Given has alot to show off within his constituency. We who know him ,is a good organiser and he listens when you discuss with him. Jealousy will kill you. Leave Given aone. Viva PF and Given. Keep on hurting bane.
