Honour Janza has drafted nine Zambia Under-20 players for his September local training camp.

The juniors, who recently qualified for the Senegal 2015 African Youth Championship, are part of Janza’s 27-member team that goes into camp on Sunday for the four-day monthly get-together in Lusaka.

Nchanga Rangers midfielder Larry Bwalya, Spencer Sautu of Green Eagles and Napsa Stars striker Saith Sakala are part of the prominent junior callups summoned for the camp.

Zesco United’s duo of Kangwa Chileshe and Cletus Chota have also been called up.

However, Zanaco’s influential midfielder Roderick Kabwe has been omitted while Nkana striker Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba has been recalled after he was dropped twice for Zambia’s 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifiers against Mozambique on September 6 and Cape Verde on September 10.

  1. One can see Chansa is desperate. 9 Under 20s? where on earth have you ever heard of a coach infusing such a large number of age group players? If they were U-23 I might agree. This shows the coach is at a loss for what to do. I don’t think we will qualify for Morocco.

  2. He calls and trains with local players when time to play comes its something else, why bother people to train while you know you won’t use then just to waste time and money for their allowances (if any).
Shame on our country the way we do things.

  3. I am also supporting the last two b4 me. Why owez JANZA call players when he knows there are NOT in his plan. He should have remit his number of local players & why call under 20? bcoz as far as i know the young ones will never be in his final list but there only drow ‘UMUCHANGA’ for FAZ.
The other thing i would like to coment is ablt ‘KALAMPA HERO’, “let JANZA try young talented boy in his team with a ‘FOCUSED STRIKER’ weather in his first LINEUP or the other way round i believe the NATION wil RESPECT & be to my side, just have CONFIDENCE on him the COARCH & the NATION will be proud of him bcoz of (3) three points our beloved team will record.

    “TUMELO PROUDLY NKANA FC FAN”.

  4. I don’t understand Coach’s strategy, its like he has run out of ideas. He seems to have failed to come up with best team to give us positive results. International friendlies and call ups to training but uses those other professionals who are not in form to deliver.

  5. Kalusha you very well know Chansa is not a head coach so why throw him into this deep end? Even where you live in South africa there are coaches like Gordon Igesund Keshi is also free. such coaches have a reputation to protect. not some assistant coach whom no one knows. You will be to blame for Zambia failing to qualify

  6. Let me be the first one to start advocating for an expatriate coach, and I don’t give a damn whether other people see it otherwise. Mr Janza will not take the Chipolopolo anywhere due to his insensitivity when it comes to selection of players for a particular game. An example is what we saw in the Cape Verde match where he just needed one special substitute in the name of Given Singuluma to win that game. OMG WHAT DID HE DO, HE BROUGHT ON FELIX KATONGO WHO ONLY TOUCHED THE BALL TWICE.
I know some attributes of a good coach. One such attribute is thinking using their brains not THINKING using their memories. Janza please jack up and scale up your skills.

  7. The young chipolopolo is better side than the professionals. Just from Munyao to Kampamba the heat man is complete. But when the game is due, all the vibrate talented young players are dropped and finished material of Chris katongo, Felix, Mweene, Jacob, Mbola, Mayuka and Donaciano Malama are given chance and we end up losing the games.

Foolish Coach. Even me as a Komboni Coach I can do better than Janza
