Coach Wedson Nyirenda has been fired by Mozambique side HCB Songo.
Nyirenda announced his dismissal in his face book posting on Thursday night.
He joined Songo in January 2013 after leaving Zesco United.
“Tonight, I would like to inform all of you my friends and relatives that the contract between my club HCB Songo and us, Dabid Chilufya my asistant coach and myself has been terminated following a series of discussions which we have been having,” Nyirenda told his followers on Facebook.
“Though we have an issue at hand which we have to tackle, we are fine with the developments so far,” he added.
The ex-Zambia Under-17 and Zanaco coach said he did his best at Songo.
“We have done the best for the club under circumstances we found the club in and what has been obtaining during the course.
“I can’t boast or judge myself but the works we have done at the club lub are there for every eye to see,” Nyirenda said.
Ba Wedson you must learn to appreciate what you have. At Zesco you had everything that a coach needs.But because you are selfish, you grew bg headed and you decided to leave. Such foolish people like you deserves harsh treatment and i only hope this is the beggining of your downfall.
Non performing individuals ,well done Mozambique .just because you were a player does not mean you must be a coach .

Wedson Nyirenda is one of the most outstanding coaches this country has produced. What has happened to him is not strange in the world of football. Now that his contract has been terminated, let us look at the possibility of assigning him to the national team to help Honour Janza. Mind you, Wedson’s credentials are more attractive than those of Honour Janza.
Sad development but filachitika bakalamba. I have enough respect for Wada Wada and would be grateful if he can assist Janza at national level instead of the inexperienced Chintu.
The take home message is that even when you do good, you are unlikely to be appreciated in a foreign country. It is only in Zambia where foreigners are worshiped even when they are doing things that are detrimental to our country. Chabipa Ba Wedson, wishing you all the best!!
