Striker Jimmy Ndhlovu scored four goals as Power Dynamos demolished National Assembly 7-1 in Saturday’s FAZ Super League Week 24 tie played at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Defender Billy Mutale, midfielder Richard Kasonde and winger Julius Situmbeko contributed a goal each to aid Power rebound from last Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Nkana in the Barclays Cup quarterfinals in Lusaka.

Power made their intention to win known just after seven minutes when Ndhlovu tapped in Alex Ng’onga’s cross before Mutale doubled the lead 29 minutes later.

The ex-Junior international scored his second goal two minutes deep into the first half additional time as Power took a 3-0 lead into the break.

Fifteen minutes into the second half Kasonde added his name on the score sheet and Ndhlovu increased his tally to three in the 67th minute before Peter Mwaangani pulled one back for Assembly on 77minutes.

A minute later, Ndhlovu inked his fourth goal of the day and his 13th goal of the season before Julius Situmbeko hammered the last nail on the Parliamentarians coffin seven minutes from full time.

This win has pushed second placed Power to 48 points from 24 matches played.
