Nkana visit Mine Police

Share

Nkana on Sunday search for an elusive first away at Konkola Mine Police.

The match is one of two matches in Sunday’s Konkola Stadium doubleheader in which
Nchanga Rangers will be in action in the lunchtime kick off against Napsa Stars.

Nkana do hot have a great record up in the border town where they have left Chililabombwe with two draws since Mine Police were promoted in 2012.

The defending champions also head to Chililabombwe on a high after beating Power Dynamos 2-0 last Sunday in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Barclays Cup.

However, they will face a Mine Police side that is also enjoying good form at home.

Mine Police are unbeaten in their last three home matches since losing 1-0 at the hands of Green Buffaloes on July 19.

Since then Mine Police have held Power Dynamos to a 1-1 draw, beat National Assembly 2-1 and beat Konkola Blades 1-0 in their Chililabombwe derby.

“They have won some and lost some it is part of the game and even on Sunday. So we are ready for them,” Mine Police coach Bruce Mwape said.

Meanwhile, Nkana are fifth on 39 points from 22 games with a match in hand and a win on Sunday could see them replace Napsa in fourth place in they lose at lunchtime to Nchanga.

Nkana and Napsa have 39 and 41 points respectively.

And Mine Police will remain second from bottom if they stay unbeaten with another draw against Nkana on Sunday.

    • Nkana just like the all Nations Soccer Club Man U have never been about winning games. They are all a symbol of soccer following. Other Soccer clubs are measured against them. Nkana in Zambia and Man U in all the world.
