Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President George Mpombo says President Michael Sata’s cracking voice and inability to complete his last Friday’s speech to Parliament does not justify calls that the President should take a rest from work.

Dr. Mpombo says he personally does not think the health of an individual should be judged on his voice as it is a fact that there could be so many issues that can cause the voice of a person to crack up.

He has told Qfm news in an interview that he also thinks that President Sata’s inability to complete his speech when he officially opened the 4th meeting of the 11th secession of Parliament could have been that he was only tired.

Dr. Mpombo says this does not however mean that President is unable to execute his duties.

He says people in the country should realize that the health of a person is between God and the individual himself and that with God there is nothing impossible when it comes to healing people.

The PDP leader says it is also important to be mindful that it is not prompt for an individual is get back from what he has termed the vagaries of health as it takes time to fully get strong.

He says the fact that President Sata is on his fit he does believe that he is therefore able to perform his duties which is the more reason that the President has to this effect traveled to the US for the New York UN summit.

Dr. Mpombo has since maintained that President still appears to be fit as a fiddle and that what people ought to do in the country is to give him support and see how he progresses.

He says the signs that the Head of State is displaying are very bold and inspiring especially that he is able to appear in public for people to see him walk.

    • Mpombo we all know Sata is just on the new trend of cross-fit training and juicing. That’s why he lost so much weight. Nothing to see here. Carry on!

    • Look at what is giving him away: “He says the signs that the Head of State is displaying are very bold and inspiring especially that he is able to appear in public for people to see him walk..

Why should a ‘fit as a fiddle person be ‘bold and inspiring for merely appearing in public for people to see him walk? Is he disabled? Gracious me, this is our best brains we have to steer this country to glory… God forbid!

  1. Mpombo is just another shameless job seeker. Why do we still have such politicians up to now? God help this man country.

  2. Mpompo is applying for a job and to have his corruption case dropped. PF has to date refused to acknowledge that sata is sick.

  3. why is that some of these people, Mpombo in particular, take Zambians for fools????? it is absolutely amazing that Mpombo would express these sentiments when the pictures of the president clearly tell that he is not well. Only in Zambia, it is a shame

  4. You anti Sata bloggers never ceases to amaze me. Even when you loose by election by 4 out of 6, you still talk? What kind of demons do you have? Don’t you know that if people vote 4 out of 6 by elections, it means Sata is favored by the people whether he is sick or not? Don’t you learn that you don’t win election on internet. Dull chaps. God bless MS.

  5. Mr Mpombo was among the people who kept on praising President Mwanawasa (MHSRIP) even when his health was failing. Its only prudent that someone should rest if they’re not feeling well. Nevertheless, it remains with the first family to choose what is best for them.

  6. Iwe’ Mpombo!!
Why Tu Chawa So?? This is Not the First time I’ve heard You, doing Tuchawa, so “Sata – Muzungu anikonde”
Cut the Cr*p, & just Declare like Munkhombwe, that. You are now feeling the Hunger Pangs.
At least Munkhombwe, though a leech, was Honest, which. Is a bit more respectable, than You Mpombo!!

  7. Mpombo such a Big Useful *****. Why did u even form a political party? U have failed to organize your own party. All u do is side with PF even when things are wrong. I suggest u go back to PF and have your ka one man party deregistered.

  8. I had a lot of respect for you “Doc” .
have you also joined the band wagon of Zambians who have deliberatly decided to ignore what we are all seeing . i have never had the opportunity to meet micheal sata in person though i rember in or about 2009 the man was buying gas at northmead in his clapped out mercedes 190 , white .. you all remember that one. The man is undeniably diferent from those days and to say the least undenialbly sick. its also a wonder that pipo are scared to state that…I am not a medical Doctor but it is very obvious that he is sick, and that talk about bras and zips? 74 years ago etc … what was that all about … i did psychology and i will not completely dismiss the stories about dementia

  9. SICKNESS COMES ON EVERYONE AT ANYTIME .LET US HAVE A HEART FOR OUR FATHER AND STOP POLITICIZING HIS STATUS.SUPPORT HIM.PRAY FOR HIM AND WISH HIM WELL AS IF IT WERE YOUR OWN FATHER.MIND U WHAT U SPEAK WILL ……………. .

  10. PF never won those by-elections it stole them! Shameless crookes. Attending UN while in poor health not acceptable in civilized society.

  11. 1 John 4: 20, 21 reads:
20If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.

Zambia is a Christian nation. I think Mpombo is trying to work within Christian circles, as long as this is coming from his. There is no justification in hating your enemy either, if you have read “the parable of a good Samaritan.” Mpombo can speak out otherissues against Sata, but not ones health. That mounts to envy, and envy is one of the three vices of evil. Let us support leaders who show the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Leaders full of vices will not help Zambia. You can tell from their…
