The Christian Democratic Party says it is overwhelmed with joy to see President Michael Sata actively involved in the affairs of the nation.

Party president Dan Pule said his party is happy that contrary to speculation over the president’s state of health, he was at hand to open the fourth session of the 11th National Assembly and later went to the United States on national duty.

Dr Pule told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that this should shame the prophets of doom who are bent on spreading falsehood concerning the health of the Head of State.

He prayed that God should continue to bless President Sata and grant him good health until he completes the mandate that was given to him by the Zambian people.

And Dr Pule has advised government against exporting raw maize but instead add value to the product in order to create employment for the people and earn more money for the country.

He said 50 years after independence, Zambia should not be exporting raw maize butt encourage the exportation of finished products like mealie meal and stock feed.

Dr Pule noted that at the time Zambia was experiencing food shortages, it had to import mealie meal from South Africa because the South African government refused to sell Zambia maize but mealie meal.

He said this created a lot of job opportunities for South Africans and that their government managed to make more money from exporting a finished product instead of selling raw maize.

The National Democratic Party leader further stated that despite the maize bumper harvest that the country had in the last farming season, there is need to keep some maize in reserves owing to the unpredictable weather patterns the country has been experiencing of late.

He said the nation needs to have some maize in reserves in an event that the yield next year is not as good as it has been this year.

  1. Man of the cloth sounds like he’s lobbying for a position. Facts for you Mr Pule, sata had to be reminded that he was at National Assembly to open parliament. He didn’t know where he was @ and what he was there for. He was sixes and sevens. He didn’t attend the UN conference. He was holed up in a hotel room. As a learned man, i don’t expect you to call that active participation in the nation’s affairs! Instead your friend sata is bankrupting the public purse by going on trips that do little in the interest the country. If you are broke, do get a day job, sir!

    • Some people should just shut up if they cant add value to the national agenda. Public jobseeking should be on merit and not lunacy

  2. total madness from dan pule.if the leadership provided by sata is your stardard then we are in trouble.wasting money with 40 delegation to usa .africa will never develop with people like pule and sata in power.please take your madness somewhere.

  3. For those who were not around this the pastor who was duped in a gold Saga. The rest of the story and what he says is open to speculation on his intentions. It is a fact that jobs are scarce in our mother land.

  4. So this plonker Dan Pule really thinks it is normal active involvement in national affairs for our head of state to travel all the way to New York hotel in order to watch the U.N general assembly proceedings from a hotel room? Well, that just plumbs new levels in how not to run national affairs but it doesn’t surprise me. Zambia is a typical African banana republic and the fault lies with the people for accepting being taken for fools. There is a saying that a nation only gets the leadIership it deserves. This is absolutely true, and what hope is there with the abundancy in the likes Dan Pule in our midst who are in need of so much enlightenment.

  5. Dan Pule; if your comment is an application for a job, I pray you do not get it. we need intelligent educated people to run the affairs of this country; not people who go with I don t know what number of a delegation just to sight see and keep to their rooms. Honestly; people of Zambia, why are we sitting back and watching our tax money being squandered in this way?

  6. I truly sympathise with those poor and ‘blind’ zambians that follow and believe in Pule’s political and religious ideologies. this man is a human tradegy with no iota of basic intelligence. He is such a pain in the a… and would do well to keep his unpleasant mouth shut for the rest of his life.

  7. This man never ceases to amaze me. what kind of idiocy is this? Its a shame that such words have to come from a grown man like you BaPule. U are a disgrace to your fellow clergy men. Personally I don’t think I can stand the sight of you on the pulpit…Open your eyes and come to the real world…Nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
