Patriotic Front National Chairperson Inonge Wina has told journalists in Lusaka that the party will soon meet to address the fate of convicted Mufumbwe MP Stephen Masumba.

Ms Wina said the party will soon make its position known to the public on the issue of Mr. Masumba whose conviction for obtaining employment fraudulently was uphold by the high court.

She explained that the issue of Mr. Masumba was an internal matter which needed the decision of the party as a collective.

Ms Wina says the ruling party will not condone lawlessness within the party.

Commenting on some youths within the party who are plotting to have Vice president Guy Scott fired Ms. Wina said there are channels that should be followed to air grievances and that the party will not entertain members taking to the streets demonstrating against fellow party members.

She said internal issues must be addressed within the party but that is should be done in a civilized manner without rushing to the press or demonstrating in the streets.

Ms. Wina also said the party will resolve all the internal squabbles before 2016 and that there will be no divisions in the party before the 2016 general elections further adding that there are no opposing camps within the party.

She also said the party will soon have elections for positions in the party which will ensure that the party emerges stronger before the elections.

  1. Come on old yokel! This is a straight forward issue, does not need meetings.Your fellow crook has been exposed.

    • Why stage a meeting and waste time;claim allowances over this playboy instead of discussing development issues and coining excellent policies for the benefit of the poor Zambians. I have always thought straight forward cases calls for straight forward closure. we need good policies for education for all, water, sanitation and healthcare. why waste time on an individual who has been exposed; no questions can be raised on the such stupid behaviour. PF is discrediting itself in cases of this nature. we need credible leaders who can articulate issues and not stage or call for meeting on individual stupidity.

    • @Saulosi, that is wrong way of thinking, leave the dead rest.
In fact Arthur is in heaven, not in grave, he never didn’t horrible crimes.

  2. Saulosi please she is displaying her ignorance on a clear cut case, are they going to let him serve while he is in jail,

  3. The flea circus Pathetic Party! What a cursed era in Zambia Looters monking around in all ministries! We want a latest on the stolen CDF not its replacement, DCs stealing, PSs stealing,Cabinet Ministers stealing,Councilors stealing,HR-Kapokolising,Hapunda stealing,Mmembe evading tax stealing, chipimo underhand method stealing,Kabimba illunda stealing,kambwili-GBM-Nsanda contract stealing…the list endless!Zambia is being stripped naked while whistle blowers such as TIZ,Churches,Civil Organisations,SACORD and others are mute!

  4. MP WINA is correct to appeal for unity and orderliness in PF. You just wish other Parties had these clear internal structures to follow through…!

It is correct they meet to formally discuss, the problem Masumba has brought the party. If as stated there is no automatic procedure of removal of an MP after such a crime (some may know better). It is up to the party to give him the Hive Ho, which they have already indicated. It is correct Ma’am Wina condemns the conduct in as clear terms as she has.

One does feel sorry for Masumbas’ error. You can only imagine what ambition he had to be so tempted. May God forgive him and bring wisdom to him. May his poor Mama be comforted at this time. God bless them all.Nothing to criticise on the meetings, it’s ‘Housekeeping.'”……….

  5. First and foremost the PF should not have adopted Masumba when he defected to the party because by then he had court cases pending in our courts, but the Pf went ahead and readopted him to recontest the seat. Now we are going to have another by elections in the space of 24 months and this is a waste of tax payers money and poor decision by the PF central committee.I hope this time they are going to make a good decision by expelling Masumba from the party.Even Brian Hapunda should also be suspended from the party pending court cases. One thing i have observed with the PF is,they do not have problems when it comes to welcome MMD members when they defect to the party, why?,PF is a break away party from the MMD.

  6. There are no ifs anymore regarding the Masumba case. The rules should be very clear that if you have been convicted of anything and have served time in prison you are barred from holding political office for the rest of your life. From the interview Masumba gave from his jail cell it appears the guy has no remorse whatsoever and is instead blaming the college for not maintaining proper records. Matters worse he is still haboring political ambitions! He is quoted as saying the living conditions in prison are pathetic yet when he was in Govt he did nothing to improve these prisons because he never foresaw himself being incarcerated. What a pathetic fella!

  7. Ah, so mediocrity in thinking still holds! Why not just say we are going for another bye erection? Isn’t the constitution clear on such issues? Lawyers advise?

  8. Government should do something about the prison conditions. Prisons must be places for people to go and reform and I am not calling for comfort here but decency. When PF came to power Vice President Guy Scott went to mukobeko prison in Kabwe to inspect it and made a lot of noise about the pathetic way prisoners were staying in, at last and as usual nothing is being done to improve our prisons. It’s just a place to go and pick up all sorts of diseases. Some are incarcerated for common human mistakes like driving and running over somebody. Please let’s increase the prison space urgently, we have human beings in there

  9. I agree Killien, even when President Sata was incarcerated over some motor vehicle issues, he really condemned our prisons when he came out. It is purely hell in there. I hope honorable Chikwanda has put something in the budget to rehabilitate current prisons and also apportioned some money to build new ones ASAP. As a Christian nation, let’s make our prisons habitable to humans, for now they are fit for animals.

  10. I dont think it is correct in line with morals for wina to quickly say they will meet when 1 they failed to meet when there were so many complaits pali wynter and the party failed to meet.2 masumba is going thru this becoz of his support for our party. 3 He has appeald to supreme court 4.why our judges didnt want to be investigated they know our courts well

  11. PF will die with masumba becoz if they did not psuade him to join PF MMD wud not have reported him. The best PF should do is to suport him untill God sets him free. who knows may be his enrmies have planted pipo in courts

  12. Ba wina political motivated cases need political judgements. masumba is going thru this becoz of his love for your party DO NOT TREAT HIM LIKE AN EBOLA PATIENT. All he needs is political help

  13. Tumbuka we met in 2011 and the same pipo who sat in 2011 will sit in 2016 same judges and complainants. The winer will be… saaaaaaataaaaaaa

  14. Listen you widowed lady.. tell your cabinet that next time don’t appoint stupid fraudulent characters at the expense of national development…in fact you all got to be ashamed of yourselves by allowing a fraudstar in the name of Masumba to occupy a public office. Dont take zambians for a ride. All electorates of North Western Province plse dont vote for fraudstars and rhumba dancers and you dont need Emmanuel Mulemena to rise from his death to come and advise you that!!!!!!! very disappointing and annoyed….

  15. disappointed and annoyed Jeff Mwanza, you re s.t.u.p.i.d, why can’t you just bring up your point without addressing the old lady as ‘widowed’. Shack! you have upset me

  16. Masumba should have been expelled from the PF the 1st day he went to to Courts to respond on cases of forgery.

This culture of maintaining crooks in Parliament, the Government systems, Embassies, etc, – a situation when law breakers find solace under the protection of Sata – will eventually go a long way to finish and kill-off the PF as a Party that condones Law Breakers. Our fear is if PF is Sata’s personal business venture, this party will go with Him when God finally decides his final destination. Then the whole lot of parasites will be confined to life of severe destitution. AMEN.

  17. What does the law say in Zambia? Simple Civics, if a person is jailed for more than 6 months, he/she loses their seat. Simple and klaar!!!

  18. The ultimate king of ngwasuma bakamba, will surely miss thoz rhumba dance moves, plus koffi is comin pa 24,honourable masumba cant afford to miss this 1,will help him sneak out of jail so he cn join the dancin queens on stage

  19. Masumba said he had communicated to the people of Mufumbwe his decision to withdraw from his position as member of parliament for that area….watchdog.
so what meeting do you want to sit when masaumba has already decided for you ?

  20. Nostradamus who told you that Wina is in heaven and which bible do you read everyday? Take time to read the bible and not watching TBN for 10 seconds for fear of knowing true Gods words.

  21. Indescipline in pf is maginanimously common kabimba pointed it out when the pf thugs demonstrated against him and where is he? Next will be Inonge herself after unwanted Guy flashed out.
