President Michael Sata should consider firing some of the heads of State security wings because it has become clear that their loyalties are divided, said Paradious Sakala.

He said this was the reason why there was inertia on the part of these officers to crack down on those alleging to be stealing government secrets and undermining the party in power.

Mr Sakala, who is former Kapoche PF losing candidate, said it was strange for all State security agencies to have failed to act on clear criminal acts of stealing State secrets even after there had been complaints from government.

He said it was shocking that some media houses had gone as far as invading the privacy of ministers and recording their private conversations and publishing them without the police and other State security wings taking action.

Mr Sakala said there was a danger that President Michael Sata could be a victim of such criminal illegal recordings and that the scam of stealing government secrets was posing a security risk to the country and its governance.

He stated that State security wings such as the Zambia Police and the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) should not wait for instructions from government to deal with criminal acts such as stealing and circulating State secrets.

He said this was the first time that individuals and institutions could be tolerated to secretly record and publishing private conversations of government ministers such as Alexander Chikwanda.

He wondered why there had been inertia on the part of the police and DEC to act on government’s complaints over stolen State secrets, adding that there was a danger that the people with classified State documents could easily blackmail and sabotage government.

Mr Sakala said President Sata should realize that the cartel was still active because most of its members were still in the party and government, adding that the earlier the Head of State took action the safer for the country and government.

He stated that the PF and government was aware of its enemies and that the cartel would never rest until it achieved its objective of making the ruling party stay in government for one term.

He explained that although President Sata was preaching peace and unity in the party, there was need to get rid of elements that were blackmailing and sabotaging government.

“In as much as we want unity and peace in the party and government, it is a fact that the cartel is not sleeping because they do not want us to go beyond 2016. We need to immediately offload some elements that are sabotaging government programmes. Government secrets are missing and are in the wrong hands and everyone is quiet,’’ he said.

    • Even the head of state himself is compromised. Sata should have fired himself ages ago by resigning. He is embarrassing the country. How can he fire heads of state security when the head of state can’t fire himself?

  1. This loyalty thing is taken wrongly.
Agencies must be loyal to the country. They make up the government, not a person. They take oath of office to uphold the constitution of the country not the philosophies of an individual. Common Zambia, time to change is now!

  2. This is indeed silly. I am not surprised that he has started this stupid behavior ndaba njala yamunyokola after losing the 2011election. He is now begging for position in government using the Cipata way-T uchawa, kamuzungu wanga anikonde. As him how he stole from he disabled organization he used to work for. He used to still fertilizer menat for the disabled to bribe voters in Chingazi. Osanamwila nikawala Paradious.

  4. imwe mwe mbawaaa, this guy is right.how do u condone the recording of chikwanda.worse even people tasked to arrest perpetrators of the vice
seem not to be concerned.sata watchout, nexttime it will be you

  5. Ki ki ki kikiki ati Paradious Chipata names thats where you can find Gear box Lungu,Limited Banda,Simcard Jere,Engine Daka just to mention a few.Tabakwata amashina aba only good at ukulya imbeba.

  6. Zambia Heads-State Security wings can only be in check with security matters when government is running normal. An individual in the name of Kabimba high-jacked the presidency at one time undermining the heads of national security functions. Where was their loyalty at that time, when in fact the Commander himself was not aware about his authority. We can not blame the heads of security for the insecurity created by PF government. This is what chaotic governance is all about. More complex confusion is on the cards as lies begin to came to a hoarded end.

  7. Please note that it is not a criminal offense in Zambia for a private person to record and publish a private conversation of other people. If this was done by a government official then it could taken a new twist. So in this case, the matter may be taken as a civil case in which ABC may sue for invasion of privacy. But it seems ABC is not willing to do that in case he opens a pandora box of more serious issue that may jeopardise his integrity and credibility. The Post thought thru this before realising the recording and that’s why Fred even dared ABC to deny the recording content if at all it wasn’t him in it. The bottomline is that not everything that sounds illegal is criminalized. The Police are mute on this becoz it’s not a criminal offense in the Penal Code.

    • According to LAZ, “Under the republican constitution all individuals are entitled to privacy in their homes. If indeed the recording is genuine and was made without the consent of the parties involved it is a violation of their constitutional right.

“The constitution itself gives the person who feels that his or her freedom to privacy in their home has been violated the right to seek legal relief before the High Court of Judicuture.”

  8. We are waiting for Scotland Yard to volunteer to help us clear the mess we created. That is how it goes. It is either donor-funded efforts, or an NGO that springs from the blues with tax payers’ money from the West.

  9. He can not fire the right persons but will fire those who are not his tribes-mate like Kabimba who has left wrangles in the party.
Kabimba is wise and has dropped himself from active politics as at now fearing to be slaughtered by butcher men. Come 2016, he will be in opposition to review all the PF top secrets burying PF like the way PF killed him and took him around in all strongholds of PF in a coffin.

  10. Also ask that guy Sakala and his brother in law Felix how they messed up citizen empowerment Commission funds in 2010-2011 meant for persons with disabilities they must be bought to book. He

  11. They accused Kabimba that he leaked information to the Post. But long after he has left secrete recordings have continued. Where does Kabimba come in? This government is infiltrated by the Post even any new government that will come in will face the same consequences.

  12. Politics out! Culprits must be dealt with sternly. Security of the country is being compromised by few kaponyas. Pliz H.E Mr Sata the systems need total clean up. Dont worry with who would be affected.
