    • You really need a moral campus @the3y3. God created animals for our use, and enjoyment, companionship. However, of us he created in his image because we are super special to him. White people are very imbalanced in imagining animals overtake other humans. Pew must have balance. It is suspicious he was shot, do not believe by himself personally. Think there is an agenda to transfer animals to whites on our soil, like they did to copper.

  1. There are far too many poacher accidents and killings by ZAWA staff. It is worth to note moste a Western animal lovers put animals before black humans and have no understanding of why poor Africans rely on this trade.

It is correct to stop poachers by allowing them access to legal hunting during culling so that they can get some income. There are some criminals, but setting legal boundaries that acknowledge cultural life is the best way forward. ZAWA should not be shooting or causing accidental deaths or injuries to any citizen of Zambia. It’s just our culture to reap from our resources albeit in a controlled way to prevent damage to our wildlife stock.

Fact is there are more wildlife exported to private homes in USA, Europe than the numbers poached by Africans.

    • In relation to the wildlife taken from Africa to Western countries, it is worth to point out that the private owners on Statehouse estates in UK, Zoo owners in most European and USA countries get more Revenue than most Safari Tourism in Africa.

Today, most Europeans can have access to a ‘Safari’ in entertainment parks. That means it is no longer necessary for them to come to Africa, thus a transfer of a Revenue to European hands occurs in this way. We are deprived by sending our animals to other lands.

Wildlife is used for revenue, in these European private hands, that is not too different to a black African trying to earn a little revenue from hunting (legally) from our wildlife.

We should try to have a broader understanding and patience with our differing needs

  2. How can someone with no suicidal intent shoot himself in the back?We conserve wild animals with almost religious zeal:when are we going to consider the plight of our own people.the chronic poor protein intake?

  3. So Patriot Abroad what are the answers? You are correct most striving to protect Africa’s wildlife are white folks from across the ocean… while at the same time 90% of all trophy hunters come from the USA.

One thing I’m sure we do agree on is that wildlife is dwindling. We are in Botswana currently and keep hearing stories of ‘how it used to be’ regarding the numbers of wild animals.

It appears that as long as wildlife has a price tag on its head it will be exploited.
